The main reason it shook on take off is because of the landing pad. The landing pad is very smooth and when heli spools up you get harmonic vibration. If you were to take-off on some short grass then it should resolve the harmonic shake. This happened to me when I used a plywood base, I have now made a pad with a foam/rubber material which has more grip and resolves the harmonic shake. Apart from that it seemed to fly well. I'm just trying to help a fellow pilot and not trying to be awkward. Try short grass and hopefully it'll solve the harmonic shake upon take-off. Happy Flying and hope you enjoy your new bird.....
@@Tucker_T I like using a standard size welcome door mat flipped upside down for my heli pad. It’s an easy item to get and made of rubber material so skids don’t slide around like you mentioned. 👍🏼
Yeah I used a rubber tile that's normally used for children's play rooms. The type that click together like a jigsaw puzzle, very cheap and works very well. This is only for the H1 Heli & H1 Lite. great review and I agree this Heli looks so much better in real life. @@adriansullivan-q9i The invert feature is not available on the H1 scale unit provided in Flywing scale Heli's. As I did find out hard way on lost signal due to my area. And the bird will go haywire quickly, specially in small area it feels like lightning speed gone wrong 😬But I’ve since also programmed out my 3d mode channel (since it has no function) to atti for full manual control flight over gps when needed. Few miles down road I pick up plenty of satellites but my backyard 9-11 and that’s a good day. In my yard you can literally see the locked green light ready to go then go back to flashing yellow as it sits there on my heli pad re searching for a satellite signal. I noticed this after my first mishap as I was anxious to just go fly. Then I studied the heli wondering what and why it went wrong. Not a good thing to have happen. But flying in atti mode I've had no issues I can now take off and enjoy flight yard but rather get out and open its wings. I’ve yet to use auto the landing when I was in gps. Good times ahead with flying. I just picked this bell up a bit ago and ordered the 450L v3 other night. Few days shipping with helidirect already shipped out and great sale price 👍🏼
@@thatsmyrc thanks, same here I tried flying helicopter years ago but they not easy. This GPS system made me try again and I'm glad as flys well. I don't care for invert flying if I'm honest but thinking my heli was faulty or missing something made me panick just like the 3d switch did. Just watched a video from guy above Mike's tutorials and just showed me how to get rid of 3d mode that's very helpful. Now I will be able to fly without being scared of that switch. I also just watched another video from someone else who said it does not do it think he was called tucker and that video shows it is not possible with bell 206. Other videos also say it does do invert this gets confusing for a new user of GPS helicopters. This is why I stopped using TH-cam years ago as most videos contradict each other which I find frustrating. Thought to try youtube again and straight away I'm confused. I also found captain drone channel asked him and he also repled saying you need to activate it in software. Ha! May I ask a question you say you get a satellite count. How do you do that I can not find any telemetry on handset. Also my battery bar on handset for helicopter always says battery is full but again this video says heli has telemetry which it must if he has a battery indicator and you have a satellite count am I missing something or are you using a different handset. Sorry for many questions it's because I'm confused and manual has little information.
@ Mike and Tucker are rock stars of knowledge, champions in my book. They’ve helped me get back into flying without the frustration that comes along with it. Their videos are the most informative easy to follow and the response to questions are top notch I’ve found on YT. Hats off to them both. How I’ve flown so far and not many hrs under my belt with the gps models. I’ve never rely on transmitter to receiver power indication with other lines of rc’s. So far with helis I use a mini lipo alarm connected to battery set at a comfortable voltage for alarm set to go off. Before I did that I’d would fly, land and check my battery at intervals w/ a lipo checker to see the percentage left in battery vs time flight used. From there I calculate aprox flight time since these helis are new to me to get the most accurate power drain down of battery to voltage adj settings at aprox 30/28% voltage battery life left. That gives me time to understand the flight time I got on a battery then aprox time battery alarm goes off even if I don’t hear it flying high I can have enough time to bring the heli in safely knowing time flight with not draining down the battery to low causing damage to battery cells. Multiple batteries are a plus I’ve got 4. I keep them no less than 28%-30% charge them up when ready to fly and repeat. I’m using stock transmitter as of now. It’s a learning curve for me as well. But if we are not learning something new everyday we aren’t living to the fullest 👍🏼
