I was a young kid, but at Baarlo ( Netherlands) with the Rapid orange car with the huge spoiler on top. Later at Venray but i watched Frankie for years. Very polite familie. As a youngster they invited me in their 'camp' and his wife gave me a drink. I will never forget that. Racing is racing, but off track just cope. Cheers
I was heavily in volved in Brisca f.1 for 20 years. My 1st meeting was at white city. Seeing Frankie wainman Snr win the 1979 World final. They are offset to go left on a small oval track. Back in the 70s & 80s it was chevy v8 Big blocks. Then they started introducing v8 small blocks. You have whites which are the novice grade driver right through too red top & super star. Then you have silver roof. Which is national points champion. Then gold Top world champion. I used to mechanic for frankie wainman Snr. When they were running on Hoosiers tyres. Doing 88 meetings a year. 🏁
@@graceenginedevelopments Yes they don’t sound like full race engines and that makes sense as it would be super expensive in maintenance cost to have full blown race engines in hire cars. None the less though I think it’s absolutely amazing what the Wainmans are doing by offering fans the opportunity to get a taster for F1 Stock Cars

I was a fan of Frankie Wainman in the 70's, Bell Vue and Hednesford mainly, his rivalry with Stu Smith made for some awsome racing!

Wow, that's awesome did you race as well or just mechanic? Do you live near the wainmans?
Great days my friend. My era was watching from 1970 to the early 90s. Bet I saw you in the pits... Thank you for sharing your story.
Boss I believe that ceramic adhesive can help me with the project engine I am developing.
Kit the development engineer from down under
I'll email you the name now
Do they have full blown 600bhp race engines in them?
Apparently they are old race engines. But didn't feel like 600

@@thirdgen85 think it had a small leak From the rocker cover
Like it, they are limited, only 800hp 😂
Yes, I don't think the ones we were driving had the same power as the race ones but still great fun. 😀
