This game definitely has potential. Also about the Grader:
"They have Adjustable Leaning Wheels [that] the operator can lean in either direction to lean the weight of the grader toward and balance the weight against the side load of earth on the blade-the heavier the load, the more the operator leans the wheels and weight of the machine.”
Yup! Most models have about 6-8 different pivot points for the blades as well. So you can achieve any angle for any road surface. Haven't seen too many graders with plows on them though. Kinda cool.
some even articulate in the center. Graders are REALLY cool machines.
My uncle runs the grader for the county’s dirt roads like the one I live on but he always angled the front tire when he was pulling the mud out of the ditches so it could balance out the weight

I plow snow for a living in NY in machines identical to these. I’m extremely impressed with how good this looks already. Only thing I really hope they include is an animation for snow flying off the wing and the plow

I’ve been hit with the flying snow from a plow truck, I was walking across my neighbors yard to get too my bus stop I saw the flashing lights and knew he was going 55 I was about 30 feet from the road and I got covered with snow

This looks like a fun game! As someone who lives in the northeast, this is a pretty accurate representation of highway plowing. It would be cool if the developer added a pickup truck with a plow to do smaller areas like driveways and parking lots, as the dump truck and grader are mostly just for main roads in real life.
As far as the grader's front wheels, I don't know if this is correct, but I suspect they can be angled to make tighter turns since it's such a long vehicle.
This is legit the game I wanted forever
I'm actually an equipment operator in Pennsylvania for the State. The front wheels on the grader do shift or "lean" to accommodate the weight of the grader itself as it cam be used for a multitude of things including ditching (digging or widening ditches). The main blade on the grader also shifts side to side as well as turns left to right.

My dad worked for penndot, he was a Forman and every winter when a blizzard would hit the phone would ring and off he’d go to organize the plow trucks and get them on there routes and he’d drive around checking on trouble spots. Sadly he died in October 2021 of lung cancer but I will never forget how in awe I use to be seeing the plow trucks and knowing my dad was helping get those roads clear.
This is quite literally the game I've been wishing for since I was a kid 20+ years ago
I work for WSDOT in Washington, drive snow plow all the time and I STILL want to play this game. Looks amazing

Hey Jeff, you were asking about that piece of equipment that you can tilt the wheels on. Its a grader and is primarily used in road construction to get the base of the road to the correct slope.
And to turn tighter
Lol, I was actually going to recommend this game demo to you but I thought they ended the Demo build. This game is very impressive and I'm really excited to look at this game and watch it become better.
I have done some digging on this game and read all of the dev blogs and it has really improved so much over the years being this game is being created by only two people. With all of this awesome attention this game is getting I hope they continue to work hard on this game as this game seems very impressive and I haven't seen a game based like this before.
I plow snow every winter for the City, and these truck models are actually pretty good! The other thing that was next to the truck is a grader, for doing roads, alley ways stuff like that with the optional wing blade attachment. The wheels tilt is to get specific angles, the real machine also twists in the middle to get super tight turns as well. Watching this sure does make me happy that winter is finally over!
Wow this game looks great! Agreed it would be awesome to have traffic and obstacles to deal with but this looks like a great start. Looking forward to seeing more of it! Thanks Jeff.

I enjoy seeing these under the radar games jeff. The front wheels turn that way to allow the blade to make sharp turns and it give it better maneuverability.

Hey Jeff I got the answer for you about the construction grader leaning the wheels. The tops of the front wheels are normally leaned in the direction
that the material comes off the moldboard. Lean the front wheel
against the side draft to keep the front wheels from sliding off the
desired line, to shorten turn radius and to reduce front sliding on
slones or in turns
Great potential, can't wait for this to come out!
As a plow driver in central illinois plowing a full 12hr shift sucks especially at night but the satisfaction of seeing the snow slide and tumble off the blade to the side is the best part. As for the grader we normally don’t tilt our front wheels unless it’s a heavy snow and we have the back wheels tracking to the side to move larger drifts away from the roads edge to help keep them clear
By God... those 12-14 hour shifts are even harder on us hand crew guys. We are working our physical muscles all day and by the end... you're ready to drop dead. There's been a few times at the end of a 14 hour shift my boss wanted to keep going but I straight up told him no. I'm done for the night, along with the guy I had with me. He understood, but still.
Snow removal is a very... taxing business. I also spent some time in a skid steer clearing lots and since I came from hand crew, I would help out my guys by pulling driveways and sections of sidewalk i can get my bucket into. Anything to help those guys do their job.

Jeff, I work on heavy equipment, the camber on the front wheels is used for a better push. The motor grader actually articulates behind the cab and then you camber the wheels in the opposite direction. That enables the operator to utilize different grading techniques. Love your channel been watchin you for like 5 or 6 years! Keep it up!

Also angle of the front wheels for the motor grader is for clearing off shoulders of the roads to push the built up plow windrows further into the ditch.
Yeah I definitely look forward to seeing the map get bigger seeing what game modes they’ll have, if ai traffic will be a thing definitely look forward to the follow up

That international/ intercontinental truck sounds and looks amazing. Beacons are nice and bright. If this is any indication of the quality of the game, it has my interest peaked for sure. Really looks great and sounds great already.

This is nice. Reminds me of the time you done the snowrunner video. This game has good graphics and physics.
Need to add led work lights to the back of the international so the salter is visible and the plow markers should also be lit up as well.
Also have the option for a belly blade, and both left and right wings.
My town has trucks with belly blades and wings on both sides of their trucks (Michigan)

I've been wanting a snow plow sim like this for years! I had to play Ski Region Simulator to get my snow plow fix!
front wheel side rotation is made as aditional angle for making roads when needed. as an road builder we use it for plowing beater rock idk how you pronounce it,it goes as a base rock under the asphalt :)
Wow they did a good job on the Grader. So glad I never had to deal with them moving snow but have come across one grading the road in Cold Bay, Ak

The second machine is called a Motor Grader they are used a lot up here in Canada for snow plowing and clearing, changing the angle of the wheels and the center blade is more used in the summer grading dirt when building a ditch or when building a road to grade the road from the center to the ditches.
Looks very nice for being in such early development. I hope they add more vehicles, like a wheel loader. Maybe even a simple snow shovel, haha.

The answer to your wheel question Jeff

So basically it allows the operator the ability to control the graders direction, force on the drive tires and angle of weight across the blade, street and drive tires.
It is single handedly the HARDEST piece of construction equipment to operate. It has 10 "levers" to operate the 4 tool/blade options on them.
Awesome game, my father is a plow operator in Newfoundland (Always working overtime in Canada lol), it would be awesome to see some sander/ salter physics like you mentioned.
Can't wait to see it open to more people. I wonder if they'll start players off with an old pickup with a plow and make you work your way up to the equipment in this demo. Maybe have you salt up the roads? As an Arizonian, I don't know what snow is and I'm gonna be so bad at this game but it looks like good fun

PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE let this actually get finished and come out!! I love plowing snow, have a dedicated save game in farming sim where all I do is plow.
Those graders originally are meant for dirt work, leveling roads and such. The wheel angle is for working hillsides to keep the angle o the tire even and flat to the ground for traction.
If only snow runner would add stuff like this. Being able to plow snow and maybe even minor excavating and road repair type stuff would be awesome!

My father has been a plow truck driver for 20 years. I honestly learned way to much about road and highway maintanence, but also how to drive in winter and how to clear snow.
Its honestly such a thankless, sometimes scary job.
I worried about my father a lot because we live in a very mountainous area where plowing at night in a blizzard is honestly between you and god (im not even religious)
This game looks exciting, i really hope it comes to fruition!

This game reminds me of Boston so much when I used to live there. Man I do not miss the snow lol
I don't know about the game physics, but in real life, you can tilt the front wheels on a grader to help you turn. If you are turning right, lean the tires to the right, and vice versa. Graders don't really like to turn, so the wheel tilt helps a lot. Whatever you do, do not tilt the wheels left and try to turn right. The grader will almost have a stroke.
This game has potential. We needed one of these Snow plowing game for a damn long time😂😂. We definitly need more video on this Game. and one thing i like about Jeff, He play and make video about smaller game with less developper budget. The International we would usually say salt truck or it would have salt in the back. They would use one of the other so it does not damage the road when it melts the ice

i hope they add something like a Pickup with a regular plow on the front that we can of course angle left and right. also, since they had updated the plow functions for the International, it has felt easier to plow without the steering being lost because now when lowering the plow on it, it just rests on the ground now instead of raising the front of the International off the ground
I actually run a 6 wheeler and this looks super realistic. Even leaving the wind rows as it goes around corners in the middle of the road way. Def gonna check this out. Lol
Hey Jeff I do this for a living here in N.B Canada . When you come up to a intersection, you want to go by the road and tuck off the cleaning up the mouth a little bit, then go down the road and also the plow in the front if you keep it on the yellow line, you won’t hit the markers , the wing should have a float button so it can move with the road . Sorry if the big message, keep up the great work. Love your video and you need to bring back the face cam in this kind of videos
