Hours, hours, and hours, playing this hidden treasure of an NES game. So glad I found this video to take me back to the days when my only cares were waking on a Saturday and playing these long adventure favorites!
Back in the day. Weekend sleepover with my best friend, playing video games and running around outside with the neighborhood kids when we needed a break. The music from this one and Simon's Quest instantly transport me back there.
This is such a classic, fond memories of this. One of the 1st games I beat on nes as a tater tot. This and Kid Icarus. Great Adventure Games with unpolished rpg element style. Last Level is awesome.
I was like man this game is ok. Watching and watching man this game is pretty damn good. Started playing and man this is the most underrated Nes game alongside Crystalis. Two absolute GEMS.
These are the things I love about old video games 1:10 How could the big man enter through that door? Is there a stone construction inside a tree? Today these things are not seen much but before ... well after all it was supposed to be just a game and I love that. Someday I will take my son to the lands of Rygar and tell him the adventures that I lived there. Although there is probably no one left, these giant men will have died.
Yeah, Rygar NES was more of an adventure game than a score-based platformer that the arcade version is. A bit on the punishing end; though made noticably easier if you knew the "secret grind spot". (The PAL version has a jarring bug code which puts an early cap on the strength indicator, or Tone, which doesn't exist in the other games. The limit is 1027 in the PAL version; 4096(?) in the others. Thus, PAL is a magnitude harder than the rest)
When I was 12 this game blew my mind spent a month on it with my brother Nathan we beat it had no cheat codes and parents would not let us spend 50 cents for help tips what a time to be alive
im sorry but this run should never have been added to the archive, Its full of skips and glitches. But im guessing they will accept any old shit this day and age.
I was about to dislike the video when I saw you used a glitch. I thought you would continue that way. But then read the aclaration and understood it was only a demonstration. Here is my like for showing that glitch
Our hero kills a lot of mobs.... Also our hero listens to a huge bearded old dude..... Me:yup good oll nostalgic weirdness gave these games a strange appetite for adventure Also me: ( became a huge old bearded dude in a strange hidden place myself)
I remember the PS2 version. Or sequel to be exact. Got it right on release because I was a huge fan of the original. Was a bit disappointed in it though. Found it to be a little too repetitive.
kid your looking about 834 titles complete on NES library and the rom hacks don't count. so to this day, NES holds the most games than any system console ever made.
There were about 1,350 officially released games for the NES/Famicom/Famicom Disk System, so there are way more than that. Also, the NES did not have the most released games. PS2 has about 4,380 games, for example.
That was my thinking. Glitching through the map to skip sections isn't really a Longplay. To paraphrase The Riddler from Batman: TAS "What are you doing? THAT'S HIGH SCALE CHEATING!"

One of the most underrated games of all time. The soundtrack is right up there with Zelda

I had once forgotten the name of this game, but I never forgot the music! Thanks for playing it!
20:45 best song
Rygar and Karnov get my vote for some of the weirdest looking enemies.
I realize it's kind of off topic but does anybody know of a good place to watch new tv shows online ?
Music from this game will always stick with me
YES this music brings back my childhood! I loved this game as a kid, even tho I never beat it.
I was like man this game is ok. Watching and watching man this game is pretty damn good. Started playing and man this is the most underrated Nes game alongside Crystalis. Two absolute GEMS.
ABSOLUTE TRUTH! Crystalis and Rygar are awesome.
This game is more fun, then the arcade game.
Way more! One of the quiet gems of the NES
Rygar: The Legendary Adventure - Allow to introduce myself
played hundreds of times as a kid, Just beat for the first time on my myoo mini plus. Best Nintendo game of all time.
5:29 I've owned this game since the 80's and I never knew you could do that.
When entering Ligar's castle try jumping to the left out into the air and you will wrap back back into the castle walls.
@@ironbowtie I'll give that a try the next time I dust off my NES.
No kidding... no wonder I could never get past the freakin mountain. Well I never was much of a gamer, and I hated reading. Cross bow huh?....No shit.
1:14 Ah, yes: the music that would later be reused for the atrocious Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde NES game.
U r right! I checked :)
I missed this game so much. Make me want to get an nes system and play some ol' school games.
Rygar goes Fishing at 12:20 ....
The soundtrack has always stuck in my head, brings back memories

I think it was meant to be a perspective view

7:28 Is this the design of the game or is it glitching? lol
When I was 12 this game blew my mind spent a month on it with my brother Nathan we beat it had no cheat codes and parents would not let us spend 50 cents for help tips what a time to be alive

Probably one of the hardest games!!! Capcom games weren't meant to beat! Like Rambo and Strider...👍🏿😎
except that this is a Tecmo game
Omg loved this game

Is this guy suppsoed to be using clipping and OOB glitches?
JUEGAZO 🎮el RYGAR algo simple pero la música del juego me encanta 10 👌☺
Exellent. 👌😊 Awesome game play. 💙💚 🎮
Do not bother. 🎮🙌😄
Continue and good luck. 🎮💫 😉👍

This looks way better than the C64 port which was horrible but for the catchy end-of-level music.
The rygar on the ps2 version with devil may cry engine looks challenging. However this one take the cake.

A monster "ERUGA" lives deep within this forest.
How may NES games left?

Viendo este gameplay se como se pasaba este juego ya q si me gustaba pero no le hayaba como pasar como x ejemplo en estas cuerdas 10:13
Juegazo que todavía nuego en el mobil.
Me encanta
Well, that's a novel approach to the levels.
@@DonnyKirkMusic Oh, not that. More the fact that the longplayer here appears to give the level a good middle finger and carves their own path.
@@XanthinZarda Yeah, more of a glitchplay than a longplay in parts.
Yup. Peace is just a bird, rainbow, and waterfall.
1:14 Oh no, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde!
31:07 calm down dude
The Matrix glitch....🤔
I like original japanese music much better.
Might be better. Played that version.
a mi no me engañas viniste por spinecard
Oooo the graphics have aged a bit.
Took me 6 hrs
horrible game. but its a piece of history

Thumbs down from me. Excellent child hood game and was looking forward to a long play and you glitched it. Shame.
That was my thinking. Glitching through the map to skip sections isn't really a Longplay. To paraphrase The Riddler from Batman: TAS "What are you doing? THAT'S HIGH SCALE CHEATING!"
He demonstrated the glitch and came back to where he started it.
I'd lost interest by then, I know what I enjoy watching and that wasn't it.
How come you did not read? They stated the performed a glitch. I think you owe a thumbs up
kin rettler that's not stated in the title brother
