No just us loosen poll and bolts a little from bottom and maybe a few more places along the base polls holding it and give the poll a twist in the direction needed to even it up. This worked for me.

Spalding, I grew up with your name as a household item and for me to say that I'm disappointed is like telling me Superman was a comic book character during my youth. This gives no real information on how to assemble this item. The creepy cool voice was wonderful for my children to laugh over. My son who is 6 was able to understand that this video offered ABSOLUTELY NO GUIDANCE WHAT SO EVER...... and he is 6. My instructions that came with this or should I say destructions are very misleading and contradicting. On page 20 tells me to insert the pin lanyard number 25 / carriage bolt number 23 as it passes through the pole mount bracket number 15 during this assembly however you turn the page to page 22 or even the preceding page number 20 for them to tell you to insert the lanyard is contradictive to what the instructions you listed on page 20 describes. It's like the engineers explained the assembly to a bunch of elementary school kids who then drew the pictures and didn't really understand what the engineers were saying. Spalding, I recommend that you either have the engineers write instructions using a CAD program that will help simplify everything or have an average person that assembled the thing write them. Once assembled I realized the wheels were insufficient to carry the weight of the 34 gallon water drum held and there's no way that an average person of me being 6ft tall Wayne 220 could lean that back physically without it collapsing under the ground. Do better.
I think my 6 year old could have drawn better directions with color crayons 🖍 then what came with it. One photo shows the crank holder way above where the support arms meet. Others it doesn’t 🤦♂️
The predrilled holes are too small for the screws provided. The bolt for the adjustable bar was too thick and didn't fit. Try another company, this is the crappiest assembly instructions and supplies. I've assembled a lot of Ikea furniture, this is a nightmare.
Really I put mine up today and thought it was sweet, best hoop I’ve ever purchased, sturdy and went up in a couple of hours. I’ve heard some people say theirs is crooked? Good luck!
I cant figure out why you tell people to make sure they have all the parts and then give them 2 YEARS of hassle when they are missing the height adjustment portion of the system. And make it impossible to get the parts! You know you screw up to because you literally sell the parts that are missing inside their own kit you can buy separately.. I'm never buying anything with your name on it again!!!
When the ball hits the rim on mine it leans the rim to the right or left! The only thing holding the rim on is the spring nut? No matter how tight, I can move the rim out of place! WTF?
Does anybody know why my backboard has some give to it? Meaning everything is tight, spacers are in the right area, but if I hit the sides of the backboard (not the center) the backboard has some give, is this normal or have I somehow installed it wrong

Drop the poles horizontally several times on grass. It'll take a while but they will come apart. I just had to do this.
