I was at this concert and a brilliant day. Dodgy played first, then Madness, followed by M People and then the “Star” of the show… Simply Red!

I'm a London guy and growing up I knew about Micks SimplyRed but never bothered to listen to his music just brushed it of. Then in 2000 he had a song named Sunrise and I was blown away. After that I listened to More and more.

Damit, I've seen Simply Red 3 times live, I thought the Cuba Concert was his best, but since this was released on YT I've watched it 4 times, I can't get enough of this concert. Mick, and Simply Red is the best group I have ever seen live, the energy is off the charts. And I saw some of the best over the years.

As a young man, I didn’t really like SR, however, now at 52, and musically I have a vast & wide appreciation of different genres….I’m now at a stage where I really appreciate the amazing bluesy tones of Mick’s voice….holding back the years is an excellent example of this.

2 Wochen vor diesen Auftritt war Simply Red in Berlin und spielte Picture Book als Starter. Wir warteten nach der Show auf Simply Red um Autogramme zu kriegen, da hatte ich die Gelegenheit ein paar Worte mit Mick zu wechseln. Ich sagte, das ich mich sehr gefreut habe Picture Book als 1. Song zu hören, das wäre ein guter Song zum Anfang. Mick fand das auch....ich bin dann als ich diese Show im TV sah vor Freude und Überraschung bald vom Sofa gefallen, als ich Picture Book wieder als 1Song hörte......
