Mercedes W113 cars, 250SL 280SL

  • Mercedes Benz owners and fanatics tend to believe that once the numerology changes, the entire car is different as a whole. As you may find out, that's not quite the case when deciphering the 250SL vs the 280SL. With far more similarities than differences, we'd recommend both quite highly. In many cases a great 250SL is a better investment long term than just an okay 280SL.

great video but i do have to question the bumper overriders. I am an owner of original 68 California Coupe that my father bought new and it never had the overriders - order and sold at Carwell motors in Hermosa Beach...was that something different on the Cali Coupes? as you know there is a bunch of differences on the coupes thus my question. Your videos are very good..thank you

Hi. I assume your car is a 250 model. U.S., 1968 250SLs did not usually have bumper overriders (same as the car in this video). It was not due to being a Cali coupe. I hope this helps.

@@jeeper5264 I don't have a '68 280 to double check overriders but, US '68 280's do not have headrests. Headrests came in with the '69 DOT regulations.
