@@yoshihammerbro435tbh it’s probably one of the better ways of making big expansionist empires that are fun to play without going COMPLETELY off the rails
TLDR: these paths should be reversed IN OLBRIMORE: Dmowski was anti-German, and saw a natural ally in Russia (ironically) even the Bolshevik one. His idea was to build a smaller but ethnically homogeneous state (few of his supporters had an idea of "Returning to Piasts west lands"), following the ideas of Italian fascism, anti-Semitism but allowing for democracy. Piasecki had a wild theory that WW2 would end like the first, Germany would collapse from attacks from the West and the eastern front would bog down at Moscow, creating a political hole which Poland would occupy and create a (real name from the era) "Slavic Empire" in the spirit of totalitarian Catholic-fascism. If I were to create paths for them in HOI4, Dmowski could form an alliance with Italy, Austria and Czechoslovakia against Germany. Have a defensive treaty against the USSR in return by founding puppets of Ukraine and Belarus and let him have a wargoal to Lithuania (a lot of Poles lived there then) Piasecki could get a collaborationist path, but spiced up with a few focuses
Piasecki was literally an anti-German partisan during the war... He was not really a collaborationist type. He'd sooner work with the Soviets, because that's what he kind of ended up doing.
@@AdmiraHax @AdmiraHax I agree, Piasecki is a colorful character: from brown (after all, a fascist) to red (a member of the communist parliament) but it makes sense: both gameplay-wise, because you have a different path to play, and narrative-wise, because in this way Piasecki could directly implement the plan to take over German lands in Russia and establishing "Slavic Empire". The name collaborative here means only the concept of cooperation with the Germans in the game - because I know IRL that historically there was no collaboration at a high level. But alas, so much wasted potential. The only man who wanted to work with Germans before the war who had any poltical influence was Leon Kozłowski.
I think this path has a lot of potential because Dmowski died somewhere around 1939 and I imagine there should be an option to choose between varies polish far-right leaders with different goals, ideologies etc
Another fun fact: Piasecki is PRETTY young in ‘36. Like seriously leading a falangist party in your early 20s? Somehow if he managed to become a dictator of Poland he could’ve probably lasted until the 70s if Poland managed to survive.
Simple, the nationalist path is meant to be the beck-Ribbentrop path (also historically Dmowski was staunchly anti German which is kinda ironic since he leads the collaborator path) The Falange is the Falangist path
what annoys me is if I recall correctly Roman Dmowski was actually pro-Allied and anti-German so having him as the collaborationist path just doesn't make sense
Worst parts of the Fascist Poland path: 1. The “collab with Germany” path is almost the same as Pavel von Bermont-Avalov’s path but worse 2. You can’t choose any leader for both paths (bonus fun fact: the Falangist leader, Bolesław Piasecki was a Soviet collaborator after WW2, who praised Stalin frequently) 3. The Polish Empire path doesn’t even let you crown an emperor. It would be much better if Pavel von Bermont’s path would be the Empire path (with you being able to crown Pavel as emperor) while the collaboration with Germany path would be exclusive to the fascist paths.

Yeah but Sanation is ultimately the strongest out of all of them. You can annex Lithuania and create PLC which gives you a lot of cores, not to mention having 6% recruitable manpower on volunteers only. Other paths don't offer much aside from annexation of a given territory e.g., Romania, Lithuania etc. Also, all of the paths of the Peasant Strike are seriously bad.
@@janys6502 It takes 1.5 year to get down through the tree to the annexation of baltic countries - if you did 2 collabs in Lithuania prior to annexation, you will be able to click decision to restore PLC in early 1939.
