Just bought a yt235 in California. I looked at all the brands and then looked at the Yanmar last. The quality of build was much better and I went with the Yanmar. As I read reviews of some of the other brands I noticed many of them had complaints posted online. I really love this tractor now that I have been using it. Well worth it. The dealer was also exceptional too. I didn’t get that kind of support or feel from any of the other brands. They were just focused on the sale only. He offered to come out to my place at the 50 hour service and show me how to do the maintenance which I will take him up on.
These Tractors are really nice pieces of machinery. Just wondering WHY those R4 tires almost look like "baloney-skins" ( VERY Shallow tread depth), have TWO different tractors with the 17.5×24 ,& 16.4×24 R4's Titan( Good-Year)6ply bias ply & they have at LEAST 50% MORE tread depth! Did Yanmar "cheep-out" on some "odd-ball" brand to save a few bucks? Or is it all have something to do with a "special-order" for extra "slacksen-action" to SAVE the transmission? Sure like these tractors( just very limited dealerships). Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring.
Could you do a video on best practices for the YM transmission? I'm getting conflicting answers on whether the clutch is needed to move back and forth, of if you can just use the lever on the column. If I decide to go with the YM, would it be suitable for loader work? I don't want to jump up to the YT, as I believe they're $10k or more in price over the YM347 for example.

We’ll a lot actually. Completely different drive train, loader, operator station an weight. The YT would be the premium with the nicer features but the YM is the work horse. I have another video on the YT’s I-HMT transmission that might be helpful.

Great video and Tractor, do the ym342ac come with a cab?
No there is no cab option on YM tractors. You’d need the YT for that.
Can you add 3rd function to the bucket for grapple? Only see that option on yt models.
Yes there’s actually a factory kit for it.
Does this tractor come with cab and can you put three remotes out the back and does it come with three function loader
No cab option on the YM’s. Third function can be added and I know you can do two valves I’ll have to check on 3….that’s a new request for me.

When did Yanmar officially release the YM series?
Great question. They were presented to the dealers about 15 months ago for preorders. I believe the first units shipped late last spring.
