this is a complete guess but i’d imagine in most of jun’s stuff with johnny, jun comes up with a rough melody sketch to give johnny a veeeery rough idea what it should sound like, and then johnny fleshes it out because he’s the vocalist and i assume writes the lyrics and he would know best how the melody should adapt to the lyrics so they compliment each other and vice versa if you’ll listen to other demos for songs jun does with johnny you’ll notice he takes a LOT of liberties with jun’s rough sketches lol
Johnny did the lyrics and vocal melody so he probably changed the lead vocals to fit his vision for the song which is why the flute is not 1:1 to the lyrics.
