- Lately, I have been regularly publishing overviews of RPGs that I believe deserve attention due to their interesting features and/or graphic styles. This has resulted in three months of new previews about promising indie games.
Within this first Indie Showcase, you will find various subgenres, from more classic RPGs to roguelites, from fantasy settings to darker and futuristic ones. That said, I remind you to bookmark Turn Based Lovers on Google News so you never miss our content. Now, we can really start with the first Indie Showcase featuring 10 promising turn-based RPGs.

What's your most anticipated turn-based indie game of 2024?
Fight Life: Vanguard has that dark fantasy setting that I love. Honestly such a good list here. Also I love the art style/perspective that the battles in "Claymores of the Lost Kingdom" take place in. It adds a really unique aspect to the game that can help it stand out in the rogue-like deckbuilder genre.
Couldn't agree more! :)
Another great video with a lot of games I hadn't ever heard of. Lair of the Leviathan looks like a day one purchase.
It really is! My favourite too :)
Have you done a video on "Our Adventurer Guild"? It is an AMAZING turn based strategy rpg recently released on Steam. SO good. great video!
Ciao, never played and seen before. Thanks for the heads up :)
@@TurnBasedLovers It's good I played the demo for many hours and I didn't event reach the end of it
@@TurnBasedLovers Awesome, definitely take a look when you have time.
@@YoreHistory ok. Grazie
Marcello always bring good things to watch out for and I try to wishlist most of them but
when a game has no release date but already has a tag of in-app purchase? Thanks but no thanks, Pennon!
Damn, something i never put attention on and i really don't know what kind of things they could sell inside their game. Anyway thanks for heads up :)
Sand Nomads has a very interesting setting, though I'd love for the graphics to be somewhat grittier; Hermetica has amazing aesthetics and a very interesting premise, Fight Life: Vanguard could be interesting as well, but, for me, Lair of the Leviathan is the most interesting, overall. As always, many thanks to the channel for bringing to my attention games I was not aware of.
Totally agree! Lair of the Leviathan is probably my favourite as well :)
Great video! Thanks for all you do. I’ve added a handful of these to my Wishlist. 😁
Awesome! Thank you! :)
Bro you forgot the time stamps , thanks for the video.
Please check it out now :)
Thanks bro you are the G.@@TurnBasedLovers
Great video, hadn't heard of any of these
Glad you like them! :)
Thanks I will keep an eye on Fight Life: Vanguard
I think we have a winner here. Looks like everyone loves Fight Life: Vanguard :)
Alzara's aesthetic looks amazing but the design choices seem odd - gives off Disney and Torchlight vibes but I can't see a younger audience playing this. It also looks like a AA game but releasing in 2026?
I literally don't understand why there are so many tactical & card games & virtually no actual JRPGs. Is it a PC thing? Is that what's flooding the market with these games? I don't get it it makes my brain hurt. Alzara looks promising, Lost Hellden & Expedition 33 look fantastic but it's so few & far between with real JRPGs. :(
Indeed, i can understand your feelings as JRPGs are my favourite genre. You mentioned some great JRPGs, anyway let's not forget about Penny Blood and Armed Fantasia too. There are some others of course but i don't remember now. Anyway you gave me enough reasons to work on a Top Upcoming JRPGs list :)
@@TurnBasedLovers that would be fantastic. Hopefully there are enough to make a list... :)
They’re easy to make, especially when they recycle assets and ideas. It’s not that they keep pumping them out, it’s that they’re all essentially the same game.
Same problem with survival games, 3d or 2D, it’s all more or less the same. Think of all the garbage platformers that were made looking for that SMB money, back in the day. Same process now, it’s just the volume is way higher.
@@Mantelar Sounds about right. Creativity in gaming seems pretty low these days.
I have to say most of them didn’t look interesting to me, also is it just me or half of them are roguelike? Meh…
