It has come to my attention that there was just a large amount of gaming advertisements and showcases of things currently upcoming into the rest of 2024 and beyond. This includes things like the Summer Games Fest, Steam Next Fest, Future Game Show, PC Gaming Show, Future of Play Direct and several others. I have gone ahead and perused these announcements and advertisements in order to form a curated list of games relevant to my interests, which I will share with you.
If you are uninitiated I'm Scurvy Banana and I'm here because I like to make reviews, guides, walkthroughs and document while offering up my general thoughts about many different games with the common theme that they have pirates in them. Not only do I like pirates but I also like themes related to pirates like tropical islands, oceans, boats, etc.
This collection of trailers will include games currently released but receiving a large update within the future, games currently in early access and of course games that are not released yet. As well this video will be split into two categories - games strictly pirate and games of related theming.
The category of STRICTLY PIRATE GAMES will include games distinctly featuring pirate characters, islands, boats, general 16-1700s themes and also basically the same thing when it is presented as sky pirates, space pirates and other fantasy pirates.
The PIRATE RELATED section will show trailers for games that do not explicitly include pirates but games that have a more general boat ocean tropical sea theme.
There is potentially quite a bit of overlap here, mostly I want to keep these two separated because there is a certain category of person who gets extremely upset about the definition of the phrase "pirate game." With all that said I will let the trailers do the rest of the talking and I hope you find something interesting enough to keep you anticipating its release. Thanks for viewing! No problem. I know the full release is nearing and figured using it as the B-roll footage was a good way to sneak it in despite it not having its own launch trailer in any of the big summer game events.
