Not only are the cosmetics getting more expensive AND there’s more of a gap between IAPs and F2P cosmetics in terms of quality- but the SEASONS ARE AWFUL. Remember when we got Dreams, Prophency AND Sanctuary all in less than one year? Now we have quests that add nothing to the seasonal area, repetitive quests (in duets we literally visit the same spirit twice), ALL -IAP based seasons like Nesting, no new areas with anything to explore. Nine-tailed deer was empty compared with Little Prince and Aurora. Revival was an interesting premise but ended up being a reboot for the unfinished aspects of the game, which bored older players. I’ve been playing since 2020 and it’s frustrating how awful new seasons have become, which is the only thing keeping players coming back. Give us exploration, give us new stories. Abyss, Moments, Flight, Assembly all had excellent new areas with great quests and interesting stories for the spirits. Remembrance brought me to tears with its heartbreaking stories about loss and solidarity in grief. We need these types of stories in the game again.
That's not a thing, Nastymold for example, weeks before she announced to be part of the creator troupe, did a big rant about last year's mischief event, and the creator troupe announcement said it has been a thing for a long time, but they were only able to reveal it at that time.
I've actually seen a content creator speak out about it a little bit! Her name is SkyRinRin! I actually like her takes on Sky! Although she's a small channel around 300 subs and isn't part of the Sky creator group! Edit: She hasn't made a full video about it yet, she has dropped hints about her feelings in Sky through other videos but she has been working on a full video for a bit now!
Last time I hear about complaints about stuff in Sky was a channel “Sky Baby Children” but I’d take whatever they say with a grain of salt because the channel became a drama magnet/content milker, which soured my opinion about Sky and burned me out with the channel for a while. It shouldn’t have to be the big creators to do the call-out work for you. If it matters this much to you, speak up. The fandom got stronger because people spoke up. Even big creators screw up now and then.
I follow them mainly for any updates but they always post so much stuff like with the Moominvalley best and worst cosmetic they like insulted so bad on the cosmetics that belong to said characters like Little My, Moomin etc etc And as somebody who’s both sky and Moomin fan I got pissed since they were not doing research for those said cosmetics of the characters 😭
I believe that CC's that are way more recognized can't afford to speak up too much, because it's a risk of losing that connection with TGC. Companies *love* people that promote their game without badmouthing it. It's just fake positivity, or an NDA. Who knows, maybe people just enjoy this game so much they ignore all of the issues present in the game.. sounds just like genshin. I honestly want to criticize this game for the abandoned lore. This game could have been a DIAMOND if they continued to progress the lore that it had. After eden, practically nothing happens. Season of shattering barely had anything to add. I have never been indulged in any seasons since performance, and since performance is my first season maybe I have some nostalgia bias. But I really do think it was good. In the recent seasons, I could not get interested in any of them. Everything feels so slow and repetitive, they're barely adding any new dark or light creatures. Seasons always felt like a chore to me, but that's just my opinion. All you want a season for is the cosmetics, nothing else.
That is one factor for sure. I feel like even if CC's complain, then they have to complain in a more elegant graceful, yet assertive way, and encourage others to express their concerns to get the message across.
I’m so frustrated with the recent seasons. There’s no stories, no new interesting areas to explore. The lore added in seasons like Remembrance, Abyss, Aurora, Dreams (though this was definitely because of the amazing new area), all of that was great. We haven’t gotten anything like that in a while, and not a single new interesting area to hang out in - even nine-tailed deer is too creepy to spend much time in because of the music and its emptiness.
Another content creator by the Name of YOUVIEW did a review on Sky and stopped playing because players were too toxic to newcomers, everything is expensive so most players with expensive cosmetics will make fun of others for being poor. And everything is just the same which gets boring over time and competitive. My other reason is the controls suck, you can't do anything during cutscenes, players are toxic for no reason, and it is a burnout since some players grind to do candle runs, doing and collecting stuff for events, and once the event is over TCG quickly make new events not even letting some players rest or take a break. But yeah, hope this helps. Sorry for the long comment or grammar, lol.
Two big challenges with the older player's(Veterans) interaction with newcomers (Moths) is 1. Will they stay? -Veterans have no idea if a moth will stay or not, as a result they worry about space in their constelations filling up with "Dead Moths" 2. Going "Basic-er" than basic -Veterans get frustrated when information they feel is basic, is not known or easily understood by moths. -They don't realize that what they perceive as "Basic information" is not basic enough.This happens as you gain expertise and knowledge on a certain thing, as basic things are almost made automatic, you may not realize that a moth lacks the foundations for learning the concepts the veteran knows, because you don't see those foundations as easily.

We can't be one-sided with one detail and ignore the rest, talking about bigger issues of higher prices, glitches, too many events, unfair treatment. And players being toxic with racism, religion, sexuality,(etc). or some who hack or exploit the game to harass or sexually harass others who are lower than them. Again, I understand a little of what you are saying but I can't just ignore the other issues and sugarcoat it when the game, players, or the developers themselves ruin the fun experience for others. Sky has one of (forgive my wording, apologies to people who are actually speaking out) the most doormat community I've seen so far, half the shit of what TGC is doing won't fly in other game communities. Game companies give generous compensations for game breaking bugs, anniversary gifts (not talking about ticket event, I'm talking about gifts u find in game mail), update gifts...etc. TGC does nothing of the sort, or so very little on rare occasions and we're supposed to clap and say good job! On top of the lack of compensation, we get overpriced shit. Teaching the kids about Inflation and capitalism I see. I love the game, but it lost the original message it started with.
The fact i have over $100 saved up for the next season is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to spend a lot of money on cosmetics unless i want it. I have another event im saving up for in a few months. I am tired of spending a lot of money for some cosmetics and a necklace. IAPs, in my opinion should be at the minimum 5 dollars for a cape, and bundles of cosmetics can be 10 dollars or more. The small head accs can stay their current price.
Yeah you’re right, I have to say too I think only collabs or charity events should be expensive or at least what they are now, everything else like events should be way lowered in price, but they most likely won’t do that, I have to argue while yes they have to make their money somehow since it’s a free to play game, they should not be making/enticing people to buy such expensive items, I myself am saving up for the Moomin season but I know I’ll have to wait to by the pass because i don’t have money right now

I’ve played Sky since 2020. Before season of prophecy. I’ve bought what I’d assume would be at least 300 dollars of cosmetics and seasonal passes. I have the Kizuna pack, the Aurora wings, the little prince meteor cape, and honestly as time has went on the amount of IAPs has become ridiculous. It’s not even the amount of IAPS, there’s been so many events shoved into Sky. When I joined, Days of Bloom wasn’t even a thing. Days of ocean wasn’t a thing. Days of mischief was brand new. So with all these events you’d assume they’d be able to afford putting a little more free things out. I stopped playing around the Cinnamon roll event and trying to get back into the game makes me a bit sad since I’ve missed so much and majority of cool stuff is money which I don’t have a lot of right now. I think cosmetics being paid with money is fine.. as long as alternatives are provided. Sometimes there’s more IAPs than IGPs. It used to be like only the props were paid for and now everything pretty much is.. Soo yeah I agree Sky has an issue.
i was using a program on sky (got banned for 13 days and if i use it again ill loose my account) because it got so boring, farming everyday im the same places, doing the same tasks, wainting for a new ts that will get all my candles, waiting for a season/event that will have some boring activities to get currency that will be spent in ok cosmetics while people who pay (idk about the usa but in Brazil its reeeeeeaaaaaly expansive) will get the most stylish and cool cosmetics (you get a whole world for yourself with that little prince cape) come on tgc, make things cheaper, give us some interesting gimmicks like the challenges from season of prophecy
I get that using those mods are against ToS but can you really blame the community for using them. I also got banned for 2 weeks and seeing how so many other people use these mods, perhaps TGC should take it as a sign that next to nobody wants to candle run with this current BS system where you run the same route every day, taking up to 2 hours just to get a minimal amount of candles. I really do enjoy this game for it's visuals, playing music, and dressing up but it will only take so long before they lose their player base with these bans and increasingly appalling IAP cosmetics.
I mean, who cares about an alt getting banned, really? Some of the mods are really fun, and some are just nice when you're stressed. Cr mods feel a bit lazy though, since there isn't anything else to do post-game vanilla(well, aside from oob's, those are cool)
Not just the creators but the community in general, as far as I’m aware TGC has got to be one of the most PROTECTED game companies out there🤦♀️ everytime people try to speak up about how they feel even though it’s in a respectful, constructive way they’re immediately shot down by the saints in the community
Ironically I just saw Mold mentioning a few hours ago that they're unenthused with the amount of Moomin IAPs and the event currency system for Mischief. Politely, I would recommend reading up on how NDAs work. It is not to enforce repercussions for criticism.
Personally, I'm a member of the Troupe, and have signed multiple NDAs, and read every single one, but none of them say anything about not showing glitches or complaining. Heck I show glitches, and bugs on my channel, but I play beta too, so see way more bugs in that than live, which is one of the reasons I don't complain in videos, but I always report them in the discord bugs, feedback channels, and the official Facebook groups bugs thread. Infact there are some funny bugs that I enjoy (see my giant pot glitch video) which wouldn't have existed without bugs.
This reminded me, I haven’t played sky in a bit so my memory may be a bit foggy but around when the deer mask was available I was OBSESSED- I did end up getting but the crazy thing is that a damn MASK in a game cost me 40 USD. It WAS a special item for the event but holy.. $40 for a mask???
on that note though, thank you for being one of the only few Sky content creators who actually speak out. I am SO sick and tired of everyone else endlessly dicksucking and defending TGC so your videos are both a breath of fresh air and a sanity check.
Perhaps some people want to stay on good terms with tgc, understandably, nastymold did rant once (yay ty nasty) but that was a while ago, b4 the troupe was a true thing. Some smaller creators aka my friends do um rant at tgc sometimes, just saying respectfully :)))

I'm not surprised creator troupe members are more quiet on certain issues. UPDATE: I have finally figured out a way to better summarize all my points in a clear and understandable way, I will be overhauling this comment so that these points are clear as ever and are less likely to be misinterpreted. I also added the 4th reason of how devs listening or not listening to concerns can affect the expression of concerns. 1. NDA (Aka keep some things under wraps): NDA's are a way to respect confidentiality between parties. This means those who have signed an NDA, may be limited in what can be said, based on whether it is confidential information or not. NDA's by themselves cannot limit your expression of opinion or your ability to criticize, they only limit what you can say, based on whether it is accessible to the public or not. A hypothetical example would be this. Say a Creator Troupe member knows which season will happen after moomin; They make an announcement video about the season being announced, to prepare for when it is happens. Under an NDA, they would not be able talk about the season, or show the video to the public until the season is officially announced as until then, it's confidential info. A creator can talk about a bug in beta or live, and express concerns about IAP's currently out in beta or live. 2. They're affiliates and endorsers (AKA Alliliate=representation representation=an image is needed) Creator Troupe members are TGC affiliates, when you're an affiliate you basically represent and ensorse TGC. Much like schools, companies, organizations, and other workplaces, TGC also wants a certain image, that everyone who works with them is responsible for upholding. This image can be upheld via words, actions, and other things such as tools used, and sometimes even the way you look which can include hair and clothing (Now you know why many schools and have dress codes). In TGC's case they want their image to be a one that follows values such as the positive side of humanity, connection, integrity and honesty, respect, and community. Overall these values add to a generally good image. This is not the same as an NDA, which limits info said based on the confidentiality level. This also does not limit the ability to criticize by itself.What it does mean is that any concerns are best expressed with a certain balance of politeness, and assertiveness. An example would be that you probably can't go on a twenty minute vent on "How bad TGC is," as that isn't really assertive but more aggressive. But you could say that you don't like the high amount of IAP's in the store right now for season of moomin in beta, and it's concerning as if this is the final organization of things, no one would be able to afford the majority of the season's items." Saying this expresses a concern with some amount of politeness, but also assertiveness expressing why this concerns you. 3. Specific niche in the community and just not wanting drama (AKA bystander effect aka "Not my problem, it's someone else's) some content creators just focus on certain parts of the community. E.g. some are just focused on out of bounds (or OOB) content, some focus on the music part of Sky (e.g. making music sheets and tutorials for how to play songs), some focus on another thing entirely. If a content creator focuses on those niches you're less likely to see complaints if they likely don't fall in their niche. Some content creators may also feel nervous about complaining, as they worry making said complaints will cause drama, and/or be seen as misinformation. 4. Devs set the tone of the community(AKA level of respect your fan's concerns influences the fan's feelings about expressing concerns) This one more focuses on toxic positivity but it can affect how creator troupe members, especially more well known ones, conduct themselves. Devs are responsible for setting a tone, one way to do this is how the devs respond to expressing concerns. If the Devs take criticism well, and listen to it most of the time, the community is going to be less afraid to express those concerns, as they know it will be respected and valued.This can lower toxic positivity, and worry about smearing a bad image. However if the devs don't listen most of the time, and don't respect those concerns, and don't address them most of the time, the community will be a bit more afraid to express these concerns. Some side effects can include the community adopting mentalities such as pull yourself up by your bootstraps, take whatever you can get, and the idea that all of the wins negates all the losses, which is a part of toxic positivity. This struggle to listen to the concerns of players may be part of the reason why creator troupe members may also struggle to express concerns, as the toxic positivity mindset shows prevalence in the fans, and so if a concern big enough is expressed, the worry is that A. the devs might struggle to listen to or address the concern B. players with the mentalities relating to toxic positivity may be upset towards the creator for expressing the concern. Some Honorable mentions that would make this comment much longer include Culture you were raised in (Sky is an international game, so where you come from can and how they express concern ) workplace experiences Family views Identity and facets of your identity (Certain communities of people experience discrimination, so you may experience concern about expressing certain concerns due to it being perceived a certain way, by virtue of falling into that group) With all of these things and more put into a metaphorical pot, the result is a complex situation resulting in players and creators struggling to express concerns with certain things. I hope this comment shows why it's more complex than just "TGC will F-you in the butt," and shows some of the nuances involved in this issue.
I really dont understand how people even still play this game, you just repeat the same levels over and over, and for what? To get a few more cape charges each cycle? People only stay for the friends they make. Not the gameplay.

As a blk person, the noodle hair fits better. This is ME persnally, but a lot of ppl draw their sky kids, however they want and (THEORETICALLY) Sky kids in game are just candle ppl....so they can be whatever yoy want them to be.... Literally
One of my favorite Sky content creators is Smolef. He to my knowledge is still making a fan animated series and it what i think Sky could have been. The more views he gets the more motivated he will be to make more. He is more active on Billibili.
I think the creator at 5:05 was just finding it to be a gane not for them based on first impressions up to forest rather than a full review of the game. They're more interested in high intensity action games rather than slow paces exploration games and does not believe art based games have a place period. It did bring out one issue which is that it has trouble making a strong first impression that resonates with players. It answers the questions of who are you, where the story takes place, and what you need to do, but has trouble answering "why should I do this and care about doing it."
I have seen numerous Troupe members state issues that they've had with the game but they make sure they phrase themselves in a calm professional way as they are affiliated with the company. And outside of that many cc and regular players state their complaints about the game. I stream it fairly frequently and there's always at least one discussion on bugs breaking everything, the state of the in game economy and the growing f2p vs p2p gap. Most folks are willing to look at the game they love and give it constructive criticism. However there's definitely a massive toxic positivity "this game is so wholesome so the company behind it could never do any wrong" problem with the community that does need to be addressed. The state of the discord after the most recent game breaking bugs was frankly abysmal and I really do thing TGC need to take a step back and frankly I don't think I'm the only one who'd like to see a break in schedule to allow the team to stabilise the game properly, especially if they're gonna be increasing prices of IAPs the way they have been

Moose, I just got confirmation from a Troupe member that they're allowed to say anything they want, there's nothing on NDA's about limiting what you can say or post Maelstrom is a troupe member and they post their opinions, bugs, glitches, OOBs, they even complain when they feel like it. They said they read the NDA countless times and they're there's nothing on it about that

I rarely saw any youtuber talk about it too. It's actually suprising that they ignore it totally. I was thinking no one likes to talk about it till the server issues broke the game and i went to discord. A lot of people were complainig about prices too. But there's always those people who says you dont have to buy it bla bla. Yeah we dont, and most of us will eventually leave too. So whatever. But i just can't pass the fact that tgc advetises sky like a game about friendship and all the sweet good stuff and act like they're not your classic game. It is same as every online game. It works like an adiction, sticks it's tentacles to you and drains you slowly, making you not be able to go. No wonder people are going and never coming back after that first sweetness loses it's affect.

not too sure if you should do this, but, i buy cosmetics then immediately refund, and I still keep them, EXCEPT FOR SEASON PASSES, if you refund them it'll just take your money again, but anything else you get your money back, ive done this like tens of times with sky
I’ve been playing sky for 4 years already & NEVER heard anyone complain about the prices until recently. I’m so happy that more people are speaking up about this issue! People have been too forgiving towards TGC and it’s time for them to own up and lower the prices.
The only reason I don't call out about tgc is because last time i did on my old account my video got taken down guess who? it's Tgc. When i exposed some of the hackers in sky , that video got taken down. The community has so called precious tgc defenders( more in discord) who follow rules so abidly they just can't see anyone speaking about issues. The reason i want to join sky troupe is to provide giveaway to my viewers, the reason I don't is because i don't want to restrict my thoughts about game's situation just cause im in content creation group. I always keep my comment section to have open opinion.
I'm currently under a thirteen day ban for using mods (I've never used them I emailed them and they did respond saying that they have DEFINITELY found the activity in my account and so I'm still banned I'm not going to be able to get anything from shattering and I'm very upset about this I'm right now at 11 days left
What mods? What alleged activity did the claim to have definitely found in your account, did they specify? It sounds like people have unknowingly somehow used something they didn't even know about. How are there even mods. What platform do you play on? I play on Switch and have no clue how a mod could be used without actually tampering with the console itself & there's no way I'd do that I'd be too concerned I'd damage it plus it voids any warranties.

It must be from PC launch then I guess since that's the only way I know of doing any hacking or mods (I think of all the mods created for Hollow Knight that look a lot of fun but I can't use them since I only can play Hollow Knight on Switch like I play Sky only on Switch). The only problem i have in sky is the 'ikemen' players, they think their better than everyone else on the game due to their high rate in many cosmetics, i remember when i was new to sky and so many players turned me away and refused to help as i was a moth, players should help one another, luckily enough i met someone who helped me theough the game and still talk now on dis, sky would be better if players were less 'toxic' to newcomers! I help new players all the time and enjoy being a guide to those in need! I’m very sorry, but I’m starting to feel incredibly tired of your criticism videos. Yes, it does seem apparent that content creators don’t talk a lot about the bugs in the game. But you also have to realize, they likely consider this a job since they’ve essentially partnered with TGC. Basically TGC sponsors them. Of course they’re not gonna rant about every inconvenience they encounter that eventually gets resolved one way or another. They also likely realize: Sky is just a game! It’s a game with optional stuff you can unlock or purchase items, which anyone can realistically live without if they can’t get it. I missed out on the AURORA ults, but I’m not letting that ruin my enjoyment. That’s all because SKY IS JUST A GAME. If you’re not able to just move on from bugs or difficultly making in game currency (when there’s OPTIONS to make candle farming easier), maybe this game just isn’t for you?🤷🏻 You don’t need to acquire every item in the game to enjoy sky. You don’t need a flawless experience to indulge in it. It’s a chill game when you just stop and breathe for a moment, and just not take it so seriously.

I’ve been playing since 2020 and it’s frustrating how awful new seasons have become, which is the only thing keeping players coming back. Give us exploration, give us new stories. Abyss, Moments, Flight, Assembly all had excellent new areas with great quests and interesting stories for the spirits. Remembrance brought me to tears with its heartbreaking stories about loss and solidarity in grief. We need these types of stories in the game again.

That's not a thing, Nastymold for example, weeks before she announced to be part of the creator troupe, did a big rant about last year's mischief event, and the creator troupe announcement said it has been a thing for a long time, but they were only able to reveal it at that time.
It was either weeks or a few months, but iirc, she said the troup has also been a thing for months so yeah
I've actually seen a content creator speak out about it a little bit! Her name is SkyRinRin! I actually like her takes on Sky! Although she's a small channel around 300 subs and isn't part of the Sky creator group!
Edit: She hasn't made a full video about it yet, she has dropped hints about her feelings in Sky through other videos but she has been working on a full video for a bit now!

Last time I hear about complaints about stuff in Sky was a channel “Sky Baby Children” but I’d take whatever they say with a grain of salt because the channel became a drama magnet/content milker, which soured my opinion about Sky and burned me out with the channel for a while.
It shouldn’t have to be the big creators to do the call-out work for you. If it matters this much to you, speak up. The fandom got stronger because people spoke up. Even big creators screw up now and then.
I follow them mainly for any updates but they always post so much stuff like with the Moominvalley best and worst cosmetic they like insulted so bad on the cosmetics that belong to said characters like Little My, Moomin etc etc
And as somebody who’s both sky and Moomin fan I got pissed since they were not doing research for those said cosmetics of the characters 😭
I believe that CC's that are way more recognized can't afford to speak up too much, because it's a risk of losing that connection with TGC. Companies *love* people that promote their game without badmouthing it. It's just fake positivity, or an NDA.
Who knows, maybe people just enjoy this game so much they ignore all of the issues present in the game.. sounds just like genshin.
I honestly want to criticize this game for the abandoned lore.
This game could have been a DIAMOND if they continued to progress the lore that it had. After eden, practically nothing happens. Season of shattering barely had anything to add.
I have never been indulged in any seasons since performance, and since performance is my first season maybe I have some nostalgia bias. But I really do think it was good.
In the recent seasons, I could not get interested in any of them. Everything feels so slow and repetitive, they're barely adding any new dark or light creatures.
Seasons always felt like a chore to me, but that's just my opinion. All you want a season for is the cosmetics, nothing else.
That is one factor for sure. I feel like even if CC's complain, then they have to complain in a more elegant graceful, yet assertive way, and encourage others to express their concerns to get the message across.
I’m so frustrated with the recent seasons. There’s no stories, no new interesting areas to explore. The lore added in seasons like Remembrance, Abyss, Aurora, Dreams (though this was definitely because of the amazing new area), all of that was great. We haven’t gotten anything like that in a while, and not a single new interesting area to hang out in - even nine-tailed deer is too creepy to spend much time in because of the music and its emptiness.

Another content creator by the Name of YOUVIEW did a review on Sky and stopped playing because players were too toxic to newcomers, everything is expensive so most players with expensive cosmetics will make fun of others for being poor. And everything is just the same which gets boring over time and competitive. My other reason is the controls suck, you can't do anything during cutscenes, players are toxic for no reason, and it is a burnout since some players grind to do candle runs, doing and collecting stuff for events, and once the event is over TCG quickly make new events not even letting some players rest or take a break. But yeah, hope this helps. Sorry for the long comment or grammar, lol.

Two big challenges with the older player's(Veterans) interaction with newcomers (Moths) is
1. Will they stay?
-Veterans have no idea if a moth will stay or not, as a result they worry about space in their constelations filling up with "Dead Moths"
2. Going "Basic-er" than basic
-Veterans get frustrated when information they feel is basic, is not known or easily understood by moths.
-They don't realize that what they perceive as "Basic information" is not basic enough.This happens as you gain expertise and knowledge on a certain thing, as basic things are almost made automatic, you may not realize that a moth lacks the foundations for learning the concepts the veteran knows, because you don't see those foundations as easily.

We can't be one-sided with one detail and ignore the rest, talking about bigger issues of higher prices, glitches, too many events, unfair treatment. Sky has one of (forgive my wording, apologies to people who are actually speaking out) the most doormat community I've seen so far, half the shit of what TGC is doing won't fly in other game communities. Game companies give generous compensations for game breaking bugs, anniversary gifts (not talking about ticket event, I'm talking about gifts u find in game mail), update gifts...etc.
TGC does nothing of the sort, or so very little on rare occasions and we're supposed to clap and say good job! On top of the lack of compensation, we get overpriced shit. Teaching the kids about Inflation and capitalism I see. I love the game, but it lost the original message it started with.
The fact i have over $100 saved up for the next season is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to spend a lot of money on cosmetics unless i want it. I have another event im saving up for in a few months. I am tired of spending a lot of money for some cosmetics and a necklace. IAPs, in my opinion should be at the minimum 5 dollars for a cape, and bundles of cosmetics can be 10 dollars or more. The small head accs can stay their current price.

I’ve played Sky since 2020. Before season of prophecy. I’ve bought what I’d assume would be at least 300 dollars of cosmetics and seasonal passes. I have the Kizuna pack, the Aurora wings, the little prince meteor cape, and honestly as time has went on the amount of IAPs has become ridiculous. It’s not even the amount of IAPS, there’s been so many events shoved into Sky. When I joined, Days of Bloom wasn’t even a thing. Days of ocean wasn’t a thing. Days of mischief was brand new.
So with all these events you’d assume they’d be able to afford putting a little more free things out. I stopped playing around the Cinnamon roll event and trying to get back into the game makes me a bit sad since I’ve missed so much and majority of cool stuff is money which I don’t have a lot of right now.
I think cosmetics being paid with money is fine.. as long as alternatives are provided. Sometimes there’s more IAPs than IGPs. It used to be like only the props were paid for and now everything pretty much is..

i was using a program on sky (got banned for 13 days and if i use it again ill loose my account) because it got so boring, farming everyday im the same places, doing the same tasks, wainting for a new ts that will get all my candles, waiting for a season/event that will have some boring activities to get currency that will be spent in ok cosmetics while people who pay (idk about the usa but in Brazil its reeeeeeaaaaaly expansive) will get the most stylish and cool cosmetics (you get a whole world for yourself with that little prince cape) come on tgc, make things cheaper, give us some interesting gimmicks like the challenges from season of prophecy
I get that using those mods are against ToS but can you really blame the community for using them. I also got banned for 2 weeks and seeing how so many other people use these mods, perhaps TGC should take it as a sign that next to nobody wants to candle run with this current BS system where you run the same route every day, taking up to 2 hours just to get a minimal amount of candles. I really do enjoy this game for it's visuals, playing music, and dressing up but it will only take so long before they lose their player base with these bans and increasingly appalling IAP cosmetics.
I mean, who cares about an alt getting banned, really? Some of the mods are really fun, and some are just nice when you're stressed. Cr mods feel a bit lazy though, since there isn't anything else to do post-game vanilla(well, aside from oob's, those are cool)
Not just the creators but the community in general, as far as I’m aware TGC has got to be one of the most PROTECTED game companies out there🤦♀️ everytime people try to speak up about how they feel even though it’s in a respectful, constructive way they’re immediately shot down by the saints in the community
Ironically I just saw Mold mentioning a few hours ago that they're unenthused with the amount of Moomin IAPs and the event currency system for Mischief.

Personally, I'm a member of the Troupe, and have signed multiple NDAs, and read every single one, but none of them say anything about not showing glitches or complaining. Heck I show glitches, and bugs on my channel, but I play beta too, so see way more bugs in that than live, which is one of the reasons I don't complain in videos, but I always report them in the discord bugs, feedback channels, and the official Facebook groups bugs thread.
Infact there are some funny bugs that I enjoy (see my giant pot glitch video) which wouldn't have existed without bugs.

UPDATE: I have finally figured out a way to better summarize all my points in a clear and understandable way, I will be overhauling this comment so that these points are clear as ever and are less likely to be misinterpreted. I also added the 4th reason of how devs listening or not listening to concerns can affect the expression of concerns.
1. NDA (Aka keep some things under wraps):
NDA's are a way to respect confidentiality between parties. This means those who have signed an NDA, may be limited in what can be said, based on whether it is confidential information or not. NDA's by themselves cannot limit your expression of opinion or your ability to criticize, they only limit what you can say, based on whether it is accessible to the public or not.
A hypothetical example would be this. Say a Creator Troupe member knows which season will happen after moomin; They make an announcement video about the season being announced, to prepare for when it is happens. Under an NDA, they would not be able talk about the season, or show the video to the public until the season is officially announced as until then, it's confidential info. A creator can talk about a bug in beta or live, and express concerns about IAP's currently out in beta or live.
2. They're affiliates and endorsers (AKA Alliliate=representation representation=an image is needed)
Creator Troupe members are TGC affiliates, when you're an affiliate you basically represent and ensorse TGC. Much like schools, companies, organizations, and other workplaces, TGC also wants a certain image, that everyone who works with them is responsible for upholding. This image can be upheld via words, actions, and other things such as tools used, and sometimes even the way you look which can include hair and clothing (Now you know why many schools and have dress codes). In TGC's case they want their image to be a one that follows values such as the positive side of humanity, connection, integrity and honesty, respect, and community. Overall these values add to a generally good image.
This is not the same as an NDA, which limits info said based on the confidentiality level. This also does not limit the ability to criticize by itself.What it does mean is that any concerns are best expressed with a certain balance of politeness, and assertiveness.
An example would be that you probably can't go on a twenty minute vent on "How bad TGC is," as that isn't really assertive but more aggressive. But you could say that you don't like the high amount of IAP's in the store right now for season of moomin in beta, and it's concerning as if this is the final organization of things, no one would be able to afford the majority of the season's items." Saying this expresses a concern with some amount of politeness, but also assertiveness expressing why this concerns you.
3. Specific niche in the community and just not wanting drama (AKA bystander effect aka "Not my problem, it's someone else's)
some content creators just focus on certain parts of the community. E.g. some are just focused on out of bounds (or OOB) content, some focus on the music part of Sky (e.g. making music sheets and tutorials for how to play songs), some focus on another thing entirely. If a content creator focuses on those niches you're less likely to see complaints if they likely don't fall in their niche. Some content creators may also feel nervous about complaining, as they worry making said complaints will cause drama, and/or be seen as misinformation.
4. Devs set the tone of the community(AKA level of respect your fan's concerns influences the fan's feelings about expressing concerns)
This one more focuses on toxic positivity but it can affect how creator troupe members, especially more well known ones, conduct themselves. Devs are responsible for setting a tone, one way to do this is how the devs respond to expressing concerns. If the Devs take criticism well, and listen to it most of the time, the community is going to be less afraid to express those concerns, as they know it will be respected and valued.This can lower toxic positivity, and worry about smearing a bad image.
However if the devs don't listen most of the time, and don't respect those concerns, and don't address them most of the time, the community will be a bit more afraid to express these concerns. Some side effects can include the community adopting mentalities such as pull yourself up by your bootstraps, take whatever you can get, and the idea that all of the wins negates all the losses, which is a part of toxic positivity.
This struggle to listen to the concerns of players may be part of the reason why creator troupe members may also struggle to express concerns, as the toxic positivity mindset shows prevalence in the fans, and so if a concern big enough is expressed, the worry is that
A. the devs might struggle to listen to or address the concern
B. players with the mentalities relating to toxic positivity may be upset towards the creator for expressing the concern.
Some Honorable mentions that would make this comment much longer include
Culture you were raised in (Sky is an international game, so where you come from can and how they express concern )
workplace experiences
Family views
Identity and facets of your identity (Certain communities of people experience discrimination, so you may experience concern about expressing certain concerns due to it being perceived a certain way, by virtue of falling into that group)
With all of these things and more put into a metaphorical pot, the result is a complex situation resulting in players and creators struggling to express concerns with certain things. I hope this comment shows why it's more complex than just "TGC will F-you in the butt," and shows some of the nuances involved in this issue.

One of my favorite Sky content creators is Smolef. He to my knowledge is still making a fan animated series and it what i think Sky could have been. The more views he gets the more motivated he will be to make more. He is more active on Billibili.
I think the creator at 5:05 was just finding it to be a gane not for them based on first impressions up to forest rather than a full review of the game. They're more interested in high intensity action games rather than slow paces exploration games and does not believe art based games have a place period. It did bring out one issue which is that it has trouble making a strong first impression that resonates with players.
It answers the questions of who are you, where the story takes place, and what you need to do, but has trouble answering "why should I do this and care about doing it."
I know this is extremely off topic, but I got super excited when you mentioned Murder Drones
I have seen numerous Troupe members state issues that they've had with the game but they make sure they phrase themselves in a calm professional way as they are affiliated with the company. And outside of that many cc and regular players state their complaints about the game. I stream it fairly frequently and there's always at least one discussion on bugs breaking everything, the state of the in game economy and the growing f2p vs p2p gap. Most folks are willing to look at the game they love and give it constructive criticism. However there's definitely a massive toxic positivity "this game is so wholesome so the company behind it could never do any wrong" problem with the community that does need to be addressed. The state of the discord after the most recent game breaking bugs was frankly abysmal and I really do thing TGC need to take a step back and frankly I don't think I'm the only one who'd like to see a break in schedule to allow the team to stabilise the game properly, especially if they're gonna be increasing prices of IAPs the way they have been

I like how after watching this video, I've seen more creators on TikTok expressing the same concerns as you than I have on TH-cam.
I rarely saw any youtuber talk about it too. It's actually suprising that they ignore it totally. I was thinking no one likes to talk about it till the server issues broke the game and i went to discord. A lot of people were complainig about prices too. But there's always those people who says you dont have to buy it bla bla. Yeah we dont, and most of us will eventually leave too. So whatever. But i just can't pass the fact that tgc advetises sky like a game about friendship and all the sweet good stuff and act like they're not your classic game. It is same as every online game. It works like an adiction, sticks it's tentacles to you and drains you slowly, making you not be able to go. No wonder people are going and never coming back after that first sweetness loses it's affect.

The only reason I don't call out about tgc is because last time i did on my old account my video got taken down guess who? it's Tgc. When i exposed some of the hackers in sky , that video got taken down. The community has so called precious tgc defenders( more in discord) who follow rules so abidly they just can't see anyone speaking about issues. The reason i want to join sky troupe is to provide giveaway to my viewers, the reason I don't is because i don't want to restrict my thoughts about game's situation just cause im in content creation group.

What mods? What alleged activity did the claim to have definitely found in your account, did they specify? It sounds like people have unknowingly somehow used something they didn't even know about. How are there even mods. What platform do you play on? I play on Switch and have no clue how a mod could be used without actually tampering with the console itself & there's no way I'd do that I'd be too concerned I'd damage it plus it voids any warranties.

The only problem i have in sky is the 'ikemen' players, they think their better than everyone else on the game due to their high rate in many cosmetics, i remember when i was new to sky and so many players turned me away and refused to help as i was a moth, players should help one another, luckily enough i met someone who helped me theough the game and still talk now on dis, sky would be better if players were less 'toxic' to newcomers! But you also have to realize, they likely consider this a job since they’ve essentially partnered with TGC. Basically TGC sponsors them. Of course they’re not gonna rant about every inconvenience they encounter that eventually gets resolved one way or another. They also likely realize: Sky is just a game! It’s a game with optional stuff you can unlock or purchase items, which anyone can realistically live without if they can’t get it. I missed out on the AURORA ults, but I’m not letting that ruin my enjoyment. That’s all because SKY IS JUST A GAME.
If you’re not able to just move on from bugs or difficultly making in game currency (when there’s OPTIONS to make candle farming easier), maybe this game just isn’t for you?🤷🏻
You don’t need to acquire every item in the game to enjoy sky. You don’t need a flawless experience to indulge in it. It’s a chill game when you just stop and breathe for a moment, and just not take it so seriously.
Nobody forced you to watch the video. If you feel tired of watching something like this where issues within the game are addressed then maybe like.. Not watch content like this 😭 for a game to improve they, as a company, should be open to criticism yk? Not everyone is like you or thinks like you yk it feels like ur telling him to sthu and suck it up :( and this isn't about missing out on cosmetics and all that. It's about how expensive the game is getting.
Also the bugs argument is ass 😭 this game is like what 5 or 6 years old? Can't remember. And there's constant bugs that can screw with gameplay or be annoying to encounter is something like that shouldn't be ignored 💀

"It's JuSt A gAmE" well games have standards. This isn't about how to enjoy Sky anymore, this is about the game as a whole. If you can live with all the bullshittery Sky offers, well good for you. But that doesn't change the fact that the game is still shit and doesn't even respect it's players. How can you be so blinded by the fact that they're still taking advantage of people by providing shitty service? Be objective.
