    Thanks for posting this. Just bought a 1620 and it pumps fine but I wanted to know just in case. Your video reinforced why cleaning these machines is absolutely essential.

    My Spray Tech pump wouldn't prime. Watched this video, took aprt my pump (piston), super cleaned, reassembled and Presto. Did not buy a repack kit or new piston. Justr super cleaning. My not even close to this bad but a little paint sticks everything up. Check balls a big deal, you have to hear them rattle. Thanks, Grandpa...I relate to your style.

    Nice work. Great explanation of the inner workings. I have to completely clear a field marking machine a few times a year and yes its a dirty job. I little helpful hint flush it with a bit of warm water dish soap in it then flow a bunch of clear warm water after it's done being used..it woks like a charm.

      Thanks. I cleaned the intake valve last night. Had a bunch of old paint on it. I will try running water through it first then paint if it goes well. Do you recommend armor pump oil after each use? I did notice small amounts of rust on valve as well. I appreciate the help

    • @TheRustyRooster
      @TheRustyRooster  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pump armor is fine if you don't have that windshield cleaner or antifreeze . I store sprayers with mineral spirits in pump.

    • @TheRustyRooster

      Not 100% positive

    • @blinko656
      @blinko656 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheRustyRooster in regards to the 2105 that I don’t believe has a filter I figured something out. I have a older sprayer I can unscrew the housing where the filter goes in and the threads seem to be close if not the same that are on the 2105 on the intake hose. I’m going to fab something up, maybe use a bushing not sure I think I can make it work ha ha. Love the vintage Graco sprayer though
