I have tried several times to put a collar on my cat, starting about 4 weeks in. Gillian does not approve. She has torn 4 collars to pieces, and shattered two of the zircons that had been part of the collars. I am beginning to suspect that she doesn't approve of cat collars. So I keep her inside, or monitored in a walled yard.
The best thing to do is keep them inside, it’s safer :) it takes a long time for cats to get used to a collar if they didn’t wear one as a kitten. It took two years for my adult cat to get used to one.

Because these will be more comfortable for your cat, the waste these generate by the cheap ones coming off all the time is huge (why else would you need a 6 pack!?) and over time they may actually be cheaper in the long run

why would i pay $25 for a collar? i prefer paying 6-7 bucks for a 6-pack on amazon and my favourite brand is bemix pets.
