    Great solve Sleuth! I've got to shout out Sujoyku for inventing this line and encouraging me to try and construct a puzzle with it. I was running out of constraints to go with my one line only puzzles and this seemed like a great fit. So glad you featured this puzzle and I hope this line catches on. Oh and 5 can also go next to 5 on this line if it crosses boxes diagonally (not needed in this one, but maybe in the future!). As always thanks for putting out so many great puzzles every day and keep up the great work! Cheers and God Bless 😎

      @@SudokuSleuth Thank! I'm glad you're enjoying them. There is only one you've missed called "There's Sum-Thing in the Fog" if you or anyone else want to find it on my LMD channel. It's a sum line through the fog and was pretty fun too.

    Hey Sudoku Sleuth, I was really happy to see the Omnipotent Lines variant featured on your channel. I am releasing the third puzzle of the series on upcoming Monday (July 8). May I include a link to this video on the LMD puzzle page? I think it could be really helpful for some people to see how you cracked into the variant and to learn about some of the restrictions you found with the Omnipotent Lines (e.g. the possible neighbours for 5s and 9s).
    Most of us solvers/setters are well familiar with XV and Kropki rules, but it is quite challenging to think about all possibilities at once. When I started setting this variant I have drawn a little graph that shows for each digit with whom it could be connected on such lines. (And even this has not prevented me from missing options in the setting process.)
    Thanks again for this fantastic video solve and for giving the new constraint a platform. I am looking forward to your upcoming content and wish you all the best for the future.
    Kind regards, Nils Leder/sujoyku

      Thank you for the lovely comment and thoughts sujoyku
      You’re of course welcome to link to the video, please see it as the permission is there always 😀
      I did think about the cheat sheet too of the possible neighbours, probably the only way to not miss anything for a new variant!

    Seems like sleuth had some lucky assumptions: between 12 looks like could be a 3, with line going to the side, as well as 9 could be next to 1.

      Oh, which cells are you referring to?

      in c1 when you got options 12 in box 1, then line could go not straight down, but make a turn in box 4, making c1r4 a potential 3.
      And the next step when you checked options for 1 in c1r5 you missed to check if it sums to 10 with 9, which could not be excluded from r2c6

      @@SudokuSleuth think he is talking about b4, when you dismissed 1 next to the 4 (12 pair and 4 already being used) but it could have been 1 and a 9, followed by an 8 at that point

    • @SudokuSleuth
      @SudokuSleuth  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very well spotted both of you. You need to place the 2 in box 2 first, confirming the 1 in box 1 which shows the line.

      @@SudokuSleuth I was looking for this comment. The key is of course in the [3,5,6] triple in box 1 column 3, one of which must go in r6c2, i.e. 9 is ruled out and only the 3 can be made to match the given [1,2] options for r5c1.

    At 32 minutes, I'm happy. Fun puzzle, but I'm not sorry to say I was glad when I was done with the line. I even refused to use the ruleset for the last digit on the line and instead used the finished digits in the row as there was only one left unfilled in row 5. The start was a little slow and more than once I had to go through possibilities...many times, really, but thankfully there were not near as many for each once box 1 was mostly resolved...which made this puzzle feel a little too bifurcaty for my tastes, but to each their own. Still had fun. Thanks!

    • @jdyerjdyer
      @jdyerjdyer 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Btw, I did note the constrained digits (especially the 9, 7, and the 5, although the 5 has a catch as if the line crosses diagonally it has an added possibility) and that did help quickly rule out some, but there was at least twice where I went to the next "logical" square only to find between 4 and 6 pencil marks, telling me that was not where to go next. lol Now to see if I missed anything...
