I need a new trolley jack for the transit, I am using a bottle jack from the 60s need to look at a new hope you agree lol have a good weekend both of you 😊
Funny enough, a few years ago I found an ancient bottle jack abandoned on heathland. I was tempted to bring it home and fix it - but it was a long, long walk back to the car! Enjoy your weekend too, Ian. Happy jack shopping!
Once again, another great tutorial. It’s very important that everyone knows about jack safety. Unfortunately my best friend was killed when the driveway gave way when working on someone’s vw camper. I hope many people watch your video!!! Thanks Steve. M
A good video to make as people can't move on until they know the basics. I had to use two trolley jacks only this week, the newer jack was incontinent on the concrete leaving my very old smaller (abused by others) jack to take over the work without fuss, newer products can be such poorer quality. (This has reminded me that I should get the 'driveway' cleaner out to clear the spill, I'll do it now). I always use the appropriate fluid in the jacks but the newer jack doesn't care about that.
Sounds like you've been busy. Hope your jobs went well. Our driveway's had a bit of attention this week, too. The drain was blocked as it was full of leaves, etc.
@@CarSpyTV best not to ask as I was dealing with (supposed) "German engineering quality" (VW/Skoda in this instance) which literally previously gave me a PITA which doesn't sound so funny after months on end - and that's just one of the problems with the brand/group's products. Gggrrrrrr. Simply not clever. 😄
Oh dear! Sorry you had issues. Hope you won in the end. Someone else offered to buy the Micra today. That's three recent offers and it's not even for sale.
@@CarSpyTV it's certainly not the Micra you want shot of that's still has Nissan influence on it but who's going to make any offers on the GM product, if anyone did you want to rip their arm off before they come back to their senses. 😄

Thank you and you're welcome. Plenty more videos to follow.
If I’m using the pinch weld point to lift it up how and where do I put the jack stand?
There’s no single answer. It depends on the car. I suggest you check a forum specific to your car.
What a brilliant and excellently explained video
