Your videos are great. I make the Victorian dresses I wear for work but when I make them on my own there is lots and lots of kicking you screaming in frustration. I figured before I make another victorian dress (Even though I need one badly) I should practice my fundamentals and learn some draping techniques. Your videos are very easy to understand. Thank you!

Hi Nick. I love your videos. You're so upbeat. Something I've wondered about is how to choose what type dart to use. Are there some darts that are more flattering for certain body types? Or does the dart we use depend on the type of garment we are making?
I can't believe this. I have ADHD and have already seen a lot of videos about making clothes on and off over the years. This is the first time I actually understood something.
I don’t have a mannequin so I have to drape everything on myself, it makes it a lot more difficult. I tried to pin the dart and poked my boob. I think I should get a mannequin... 😂

Love these videos!! How do you work with super tall people tho? I tried just marking the cloth hem down further and it just doesn't work that way. My son is 6 ft 6 and I can't even find patterns other people made!! And I buy "tall" clothes but guess what? Did you know manufacturers generally make tall sizes to only fit 6 ft 3 max? Tried buying XL clothes because they're a bit longer and that also doesn't work. My child is a white teen Urkel.. 😕
Try watching Kim Dave's tutorial on how to make a basic bodice. It's really helpful! And then maybe you can try adding more inches to the distance between the shoulder to the bust, Bust to wasit, Waist to hips
He means 'princess seam', maybe if you check out his princess seam bustier video you'll get what he means. Princess seam is a specific point in between the middle or side seams.
