I seriously think if Alien Food manages to unlock Prifddinas without capitulating and looking at the wiki, this might actually be one of the most legendary accounts ever made.
imo he definitely can as newer quests are much better to play through as they had multiple people involved in the puzzles etc, not just the brainchild of one dev. That helps cut out the very hard to follow logic that certain quests have.

I do enjoy the depth you go into with the quest lore. Feels like I’m actually understanding what’s going on in the quest lines for the first time, sick series
That was relatively uncomplicated as far as doing a quest goes. I remember talking to Anna as a kid and you could say "Go Zamorak!" And your character would go on about an anorak when questioned, i always thought that was funny for some reason. As others have said, the battlestaff thing is because battlestaves have a high demand on the GE so they would get suicide bots to buy them up. Obviously 1def pures didn't like the forced Defence XP and this was added. Roald can say other things, mostly about the garden, during the fight i think. Great episode!
Haha that sounds like some classic british jagex humour 😂 Thanks so much for the incredibly kind donation again Riley, your support is super appreciated! ❤️ Glad you enjoyed the episode!!
"I thought you'd be able to decode it" _me screenshotting it instantly and working it out_ The clue is the name, it's from Rat Burgiss and addressed to Surok Magis. So the two 5-character words at the top must be Surok Magis and the 3-7 character words at the bottom are Rat Burgiss. After that it's fairly simple as most of the characters kinda look like english anyway.
This series inspired me to pick up osrs for the first time and give it a shot myself! It was super fun, the only downsides were I couldn't watch this series (spoilers) and I ended up playing way too much 😅I had to put it down, but at least now I can watch again Thanks for making some of the best osrs content!

Thank you! And all other creators of osrs content for such amazing videos that keep this community alive and brings in new and old players. I just fall in love with the quirky and more than often almost impossible (unguided) in game quests. I remember as a non native English speaker in my youth trying to decipher quests in this game and everything was an actual adventure. Meeting friends at school to discuss and excitedly tell about quests you cracked and sharing general know-how together. I miss not being able to/not knowing that you can search for guides and having the looming "you're not playing 100% efficently" mindset scratching my brain. I wish you the the best for this series and hope you don't burn out... Why I say this is because I wan't to know how interactions for you with the community works. Oh, I guess the chaos tunnels aren't a thing in OSRS, huh? In my time of playing RS3, Surok DOES escape into the tunnel under the statue, and a miniquest starts where you have to chase and defeat him in the wilderness tunnels. I remember the reward being repeatable and pretty decent?
In both OSRS and RS3, he's captured at the end of the quest. In OSRS, he escapes during the events of Defender of Varrock, but in RS3, it's not said how he escapes, he just randomly does which leads to the Hunt for Surok miniquest
Will be interesting if they ever add the chaos tunnels. I guess the OSRS equivalent nowadays is the Kourend dungeon, which mercifully lacks the "randomized portal maze" thing.
15:40 Fun fact, bits of that animation were salvaged to make the infinite rune obelisk in the wilderness back when they weren't able to make new models and animations for new content.
I usually try to talk to NPCs during quests even when using guides, but I went through the chaos altar in the wilderness both times I did this quest so I never got to interact with those guys in the tunnel! Interesting stuff!!
It's so nice that the quest guide is a bit better than it used to be. Simply having "Year released" is a lot of information for our unguided friend to go off of :). Desert Treasure and Mourning's End are gonna be fun!
The track you unlock when you enter the tunnel under the statue, Alternative Root, is an all time banger. As is this series. So hyped for Desert Treasure.
I felt you were a majority of the way through. Scary to think you have so many quests left, but also looking forward to seeing it through to the end! Good luck, loving the journey
Seeing these uploads is always the highlight of my Fridays, I just did this quest yesterday as well on my hardcore account, definitely one of my favorite quests.
You've inspired me to do the remaining quests i have(almost all of the 2022,2023,2024 quests and some 2021) unguided! I've been having a blast with the short/easy quests so far, let's see how i'll be doing on the harder longer ones (I obtained my quest cape by spacebarring like the rest and havent been able to equip it for years lmao)
i just came back here to say ive done a few quests, currently doing beneath cursed sands, and man i havent had this much fun in osrs in a while. Kinda makes me sad i spacebarred through everything and makes me want to create a new character like you
One of my favorite series of all time. Can’t wait to see you do some of the more difficult quests like Mournings End II and Song of the Elves. Although legends quest, in my opinion, isn’t as difficult as those quests are, it still amazes me that you were able to complete it unguided and proves that you’ll be able to do them unguided as well.
I think that once you get the question cape, you should do a run through of bosses (or at least raids) for more lore if you’re interested in that. I know I would def watch that, keep up the videos!!
i mentioned it once before but bc of alien food i started my first ever ironman series after 19.5years of playing normie mode now i am hooked and am learning alot of new things
I just had an idea, have you thought about making a subreddit or a discord server or something? I was just thinking it'd be nice to have a place to discuss your adventures with fellow fans without having to worry about spoiling/guiding you in this comment section. There's one thing in particular about your playthrough that really tickles me and I wonder if anyone else has noticed but I don't want to say anything here and ruin the fun. Absolutely loving the series!
“What are you doing here anyway?” “What AM I doing here? Oh I’m getting to the chaos temple aren’t I. Yeah, errr... _None of your business!_ “ Had me rolling at 13:58 😂
I know one day you’re going to get a sponsor like Factor, or one of the other meal delivery plans, and idk if I can trust it, Mr “Alien Food”. Love everything you do!
You’ve really embraced the roleplay with ‘If he starts killing people it’s not my fault’ since I’m pretty sure that’s the in game motto of the Player Character
I mean the whole “clay to gold bars” thing is kind of hilarious if he means soft clay because it’s usually 20 gp more on the grand exchange than gold bars. Regular clay is 20-30 gp less then gold bars so that would still be a money making scheme if the runes cost less then 10gp.
In my opinion. On an episode by episode context this is better than settled’s newest series. It’s consistent. There is always solid progress. The magic of settled comes from seeing how invested he is, emotionally and mentally. No other person has been able to make me empathize with them as settled has. That really only comes through at pinnacle moments and each episode between feels like a bit of a tease.
I think Defender of Varrock is the first (technically) new quest on this account that postdates osrs's release. Edit: OK since the murder mystery halloween quest but I do think once we start getting to newer ones we'll see how the communication of quests improves. I do love how in this one Zaff tells you exactly what to do, then, to be extra certain, writes it down so you can review it on the 30 second walk from Zaff's shop to the castle.
zammorakians are such an interesting faction in this game. They keep making quests where they try to give them some moral ambiguity by talking about a war crime the saradominists commit on them but at the same time they openly call themselves evil
I mostly remember this quest purely for the Beacon Ring, at the time it was one of the few rings with actual stats and most people couldn't afford the rings from DKs, making it a very nice reward.

It's so nice that the quest guide is a bit better than it used to be. Simply having "Year released" is a lot of information for our unguided friend to go off of :). Desert Treasure and Mourning's End are gonna be fun!
Oh, god, mourning's end part 2... Fuckkkkk bro lmao
Settled and Alien Food - two best weekly series
Seeing these uploads is always the highlight of my Fridays, I just did this quest yesterday as well on my hardcore account, definitely one of my favorite quests.
Love comments like this!! Thank you, so glad I can make a series that you enjoy. Thanks so much for the channel support
Love this series! Thank you for making it!!
Another great episode!
Thank you for the comedic timing on the dmace thwap on the outlaw that was special
Best RS Series on TH-cam currently keep it up mate
You've inspired me to do the remaining quests i have(almost all of the 2022,2023,2024 quests and some 2021) unguided! I've been having a blast with the short/easy quests so far, let's see how i'll be doing on the harder longer ones
(I obtained my quest cape by spacebarring like the rest and havent been able to equip it for years lmao)
i just came back here to say ive done a few quests, currently doing beneath cursed sands, and man i havent had this much fun in osrs in a while.
Im so happy to see such love for the D mace, i always liked it more than the scimitar.
I think that once you get the question cape, you should do a run through of bosses (or at least raids) for more lore if you’re interested in that. I know I would def watch that, keep up the videos!!
BEST OSRS SERIES EVER!
I'm loving these consistent uploads 💪
I love this series! Brilliant work man.
Current favorite RS series, a highlight of every week!
this is without shadow of doubt the best OSRS series on youtube
Can't believe it's been a year, absolutely adore this series. Maybe after DT1 you can try to knock out some achievement diaries.
Thank you for being so consistent in your uploads, honestly makes me happy.
is it crazy getting these viewers and sponsors? i bet you never imagined how good this could take off, good work
It really is! I never expected this amount of support and it’s just incredible to see, I’m so thankful
Thanks again for a wonderful vid Alien! Super stoked for the next one
Hands down best new content creator. We need a voat for a golden gnome
I think its interesting how as you do more of the quests its clear that Zamorak/HAM are the heros of the story of Runescape
i mentioned it once before but bc of alien food i started my first ever ironman series after 19.5years of playing normie mode now i am hooked and am learning alot of new things
“What are you doing here anyway?”
“What AM I doing here? Oh I’m getting to the chaos temple aren’t I. Yeah, errr... _None of your business!_ “
Had me rolling at 13:58 😂
When Alternative Root started playing I went back to my memories of doing this quest for the first time... Thank you Alien Food for this series
So glad you've gotten some sponsors brother, congratulations.
Lets gooooo! Waiting til friday just for Unguided
this and settled series are only ones i take a break from osrs to enjoy the content.
I know one day you’re going to get a sponsor like Factor, or one of the other meal delivery plans, and idk if I can trust it, Mr “Alien Food”.
Love everything you do!
My favorite part of every Friday
You’ve really embraced the roleplay with ‘If he starts killing people it’s not my fault’ since I’m pretty sure that’s the in game motto of the Player Character
Love your series mate - you inspired me to start an ironman myself!
I am hooked. Please more episodes.
Nice gift, seeing one of your videos in my feed
a settled vid and an unguided vid on the same day is a blesssing 😭🙏🏼
Another banger and congrats on another sponsor unreal journey!!
Always liked What Lies Below, super cool one in my opinion, I remember doing chaos runecraftimg after unlocking the tunnels of chaos too
I think Defender of Varrock is the first (technically) new quest on this account that postdates osrs's release.
This is probably my favorite osrs series of all time. The quest stories are so good, but they always get skipped over
The fearsome Mahjarrat, Hazel, Enakhra, Khazard and... Julian 🤣
zammorakians are such an interesting faction in this game.
