    You have a nice voice. You should take some English Dictioon to train your vowels and a handful of consonants you're inaccurate with.

    Can you do a full video from start to finish on your step by step process for songwriting. Including chord Progression, verse, transitions to chorus. Coming up with the melody using solfege. Thanks.

    • @neilchanmusic
      @neilchanmusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, thanks for the request! There are lots of approaches to songwriting and honestly there isn't ONE fixed way of doing it. That being said there are processes and steps that one can take to write music more effectively and efficiently. Thanks for your suggestion, I'll see if I can get content for a full video on that. In the meantime, do practice arranging songs and make each arrangement uniquely your own!

    • @LoveNjustice
      @LoveNjustice 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@neilchanmusic doesn't have to be a full length video. Maybe 10-20 minutes for different parts. Just want to get more ideas of how you do yours in terms of the thought process and the application of it. Doesn't have to be anything special. I'm just taking ideas from different YT videos to create my own. My goal is to write songs using my guitar. I know how to create drum beats on the computer but I'm new at the songwriting part. Which is my dream when i bought my first guitar. Still leaning how to play it, but i can see a lot of progress the more i practice.
      The thing is as i an playing a chord Progression i find my self humming something but that's just about it... I'm stuck in a loop. Don't know how to create a verse, chorus, and how to transition between them.

      @@LoveNjustice it’s good to get tips and ideas from TH-cam lessons, but also be careful that there are many teachers from a wide variety of styles. Which many teach well and correct concepts, they may be different and often conflicting. It’s good to stick to one teacher, and best, to stick to one good teacher in person (rather than online)!

    tf why this video has only 346 views.
    I'm from Nepal and I just wanted to learn fingerstyle but I didn't saw any good video but when I looked at your video all my doubt are clear
    bro, you deserve more audience
    and this video deserves more viewers..
    but will you please explain how to add more notes (the thing which you did at last of the video)
    lots of love ❤️❤️

    • @neilchanmusic
      @neilchanmusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Parbat, appreciate every view and like :)
      Regarding adding more notes, that's more advanced so i didn't cover it too much in this video. But essentially if you're able to play the bass and melody while fretting a chord shape, you can play any other note in that chord shape to fill in the harmony around the melody note. Just try to play them softer and less obviously than the melody note.

    Hi am new to playing Guitar. Started playing on ukulele aswell for awhile. Can anyone explain the fretboard sign on the G maj scale on the left bottom on the screen. I dont understand why there like 6 2 6 1 3 7. Why is there a black color on the 1 ?

    • @neilchanmusic
      @neilchanmusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sunty, the numbers refer to the scale degrees of a scale. A scale is built up of 7 scale degrees ascending from the root note. The root is “1” and I put it in black just to signify that.

    • @neilchanmusic
      @neilchanmusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most of the time it's either major or minor scale (major majority of the time). Play through the major and minor scales, and listen for the characteristic qualities of each scale. you'll be able to better recognise them in time

      You can pick any key. He us just using key of G major and the scale for that key. If it confuses you now, don't worry about it until you learn more music theory. Then come back to it.
