It's a shame you didn't do any videos after this one. Your Nova review sold me and still holds up to my favorite Nova review

Ive watched quite a few videos on the Nova and this is the best one Ive seen. What i really appreciate is that you used it on set, shared the different ways you used it, then showed the examples. The bonus is using it for photography. Top notch! Keep it up 👍

Thanks so much! Yeah I didn't want to rush the review out just based on testing it at home, I wanted to bring the panels on some jobs first because that's the only true way to know how good a light is! Really appreciate the comment, and I certainly will keep it up!

    Excellent review, very practical.
After viewing so many other technical reviews your review was refreshing and informative and down to earth.

Absolutely the nicest P300c review I’ve seen! You explain in a relatable way to non pros why this light will get you endless possibilities!!!! Thanks

Omfg if only other you tubers could watch this and see how a review should be done. It require more than talking shit. It requires talent to demonstrate the item. But if I’m honest this went above and beyond. I stopped at the photography section and was just blown away. I’ve now been forced to subscribe and leave this comment. I now look forward to the other half of the video. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Great review. I was really interested in seeing someone use these for Photography, not just video to see how well they would do in place of strobes. You definitely got some very nice images there. Thank you for putting this together. I think I can safely get rid of my Westcott TD6 lights and Alien Bees lights now and go with a single purpose light as I don't really need super-powerful strobes for most of my work.

Great video! I would love to see more examples using the Nova. I am thinking about purchasing one. How about power? Are there any battery solutions for the Nova?

Thanks so much! They really are cool lights! I'll definitely be sure to post some more examples when I've used them a bit more, I've actually got a very cool shoot coming up which I'll be sure to get plenty of BTS footage on, so watch this space!
Regarding battery solutions, the Nova accepts 24-48V via 4 Pin XLR, so you can use any block battery such as a Bebop Cube, or companies like Swit, Hawk Wood and Blueshape have power station products which you put 2-4 V-Locks in and they have a 4 pin XLR out straight to the light. But both of those are quite expensive options, and, Aputure have announced they're releasing their own power station which will support 2 V-Locks and work as a charger for the batteries when plugged in to mains power, so personally I'm waiting for that rather than investing in another solution! If I need power remotely I tend to use a generator, so it's something I can definitely live with until Aputure's solution is out!

Great review. Anyway you can show more of the short films you short with them?? I'm thinking of buying this light but want to see it actually used on a film set instead of studio settings.

Could you explain your lighting set up in the stills?
Nova through the 6’ diffuser as the key, backlight as the hair light, what was the aperture 300d for? Some front fill?
How do You think this nova compares to the luxli taiko?

Put it in HSI mode, 1 Degree Hue, 100% Saturation, 32-35% brightness, now stand in front of it with eyes closed.. do you sense any micro pulsing and flickering?
Mine did and it was so noticeable I sent it back. Latest firmware.
