Stephen, thanks for doing this episode! Listening through "talking" season we fans get bogged down in all the position groups, coaching changes, recruiting etc. It's good to have a succinct message of which returning and burgeoning "stars" to watch out for. Thanks again.
Steve, I really like what you pointed out about Avila’s defensive team this year. One thing about Coach P’s defensive units was they really didn’t take any prisoners! It wasn’t unusual to see quarterbacks knocked out of the game two or three times a year (on clean hits). So I’m hoping to see a return to that kick ass style. GO FROGS!
Several takes here… Wide receiver talent is gonna have to do something when compared to that 14-15 room Defense took the air of the offense a year ago. When that 3rd down stop was needed, just didn’t happen. Kickers definitely had an off year, how worse can it be. Punt returns settled in once the switch to JP was made. When we did have the ball on offense, the OL killed us. Loved how Sonny has told Josh to pick his spots to go gunslinger. Spread the ball to Dabney, Beech and Curtis to pick the production lost in Wiley.
Hopefully TCU can be better then 5-7, lost to a 1-11 Colorado team and didn't even make a bowl game. Michigan 15-0 Big Ten Champs, National Champions, #1 ranked defense, 18 players on NFL teams in 2024 NFL draft. Hopefully TCU can at least go 6-6 this year and play a bowl game. So sad.

Hoover and the offensive line faced Avalos blitzing defense in spring and fall camp. That will only give them confidence against other defenses 🙏🏽.
