Dom johnson has 10 Carries for 42 yards so far he’s making the most out of his petty amt of opportunities compared to cook 44 attempts so far. How do we know what all we have in the room if cook is force fed all the carries. Cook is great athlete but he misses a lot of holes trying to outrun, and he doesn’t get much yards after contact cause he doesn’t want to run thru anyone

This game is gonna tell us a lot about our culture and if this team is a real team or a bunch of talented individuals, like we were last year. If we struggle and take an L at SMU, I think we end up with another 5-7 year and that puts Sonny on the hot seat.

What we’re seeing here is a lot of inexperience coming to light. The backs are still learning and Hoover is still learning. This may only be a 6-8 win year setting up for a great year next year. I have enjoyed Hoover so far but the line hasn’t gelled yet.

They need to reel off 3 In a row and take your chances at UTAH.

I don’t think TCU’s secondary is as bad as you say. UCF had like two pass plays that weren’t terribly well defended, a wheel route TD by RJ Harvey, and I think a check down to TE Pitman. Everything else was decently well defended in my memory. Kobe Hudson just made really solid catches when it mattered most.

Also why are we lining up w a h back most the game when none of our tightends can block, that’s what adds more heavy box looks for us. There are 2 better rbs than can cook on our roster, cam cook isn’t ready for power 4 football he can’t make plays when he gets touched he goes down. Yall love him so much for no reason he hasn’t proved anything. Jeremy Payne has shown more big play ability in limited snaps. Dominique Johnson has shown he isn’t gonna go down easy he isn’t fast but he makes plays. And the rb coach has said his philosophy is playing the hot hand that is not true they r trying to develop cam cook by throwing him out there when he isn’t ready

The game was a toss up but conditioning wins the fourth quarter!!

Thoughts 1. Cam needs to figure out that you aren’t gonna outrun every defender 2. Need to use more jumbo sets in short yardage or goal line. This O-line can’t get the push right now 3. Matt is right about the second level guys. They got caught up in all the pre snap motions 4. More pressure will help cover up secondary deficiencies 5. Josh Hoover is Max 2.0 6. The lack of depth showed on defensive line 7. They need to switch up the RB’s more. Johnson is a great change of pace

Dominique Johnson had a 10 yard run, and 4yd run early in game avg 7/ypc and never got another handoff rest of game. He makes a lot of good physical blocks, let him get more touches as well. He has career avg of 5.9 ypc coming from an SEC school im sure he can steady put up 4+ ypc in the soft big 12. Cam cook can still be leading back, but no reason for him to have 4x more the carries than the #2 back. They’re trying to force cook to success, could be NIL politics

If I was the TCU AD These are the questions I would ask Sonny: 1 How does hiring fired head coaches help? 2. Did you say These fired head coaches ya'll started coaching for your Dad? 3 Your coaching staff payroll is pretty significant. Why isn't your NIL collective larger? 4. Are you not aware that there are literally many many Billionaires that make up our Alumni? We are talking oil,silver and Diamond ole money. 5 This goes without mentioning. Did you know TCU's endowment is bigger than Texas, A&M and just about every team in the top 25 6 How are we being out coached out played and out spent by literally every Football program that has less?!

UCF fan here. Have to say that TCU's offense in the first half and part way through the 3rd was really impressive. QB and receivers looked great. No too sure what changed to stall them out because UCF didn't seem to make that much of an adjustment on defense. Seems they started doing more screens instead of sticking with the underneath passes that were killing UCF in the first half.

Hi Buddy TCU needs to get rid of the Air Raid . Yards in bunches but you cant get 1 yard at the end zone. TCU Qb Had great game but was not a threat to run , RB weighs 175lbs he can not run Btw The tackles. they have a 220lb running back why did they not use him. What is going on with stud WR Williams #3 had 2 tds but why are you not throwing to him. This loss is on the offense they missed on drop passes and WR tackling them self's or was it the turf?

Tcu lost in the trenches on both sides of the ball you can't consistently win if they can't fix it moving forward .

I predicted that one of these teams would be embarrassed. I thought one team would dominate the other with a large difference in the score. I never thought that it would be a tale of a first and second half. When TCU dominated the first two quarters, I thought my prediction was on target. Being a UCF fan, I wanted UCF to run over TCU with their ground game. After UCF unsuccessfully threw a deep pass early, TCU play great run defense. UCF settled for field goals, but they were blocked. Though UCF is much better, deeper, and more athletic than last year’s team, I thought they would be embarrassed. UCF did not fade physically or emotionally like they did last year. They were strong and fresh and absorbed several injuries on defense (defensive backs) without a drop in talent. The one thing UCF gained in this win is confidence (with 50 new players UCF now know they can be special). TCU will continue to win and be a testament to the improvement of UCF. There are so many weapons that UCF did not use. UCF did not show their versatile passing game or ability to play man-to-man defense. UCF played a safe sagging zone defense that made the TCU quarterback look much better than he did against Stanford. I guess my prediction that one team would be embarrassed is correct. They were both embarrassed, one team early and one team late in the game.

hoover is not good

No one collapsed. TCU didn’t lose. They didn’t beat themselves. They played great. Exceptional even. You need to give them credit for doing so. Hoover is phenomenal and so is Bech. Let’s not even get into what a beast Hodges is. The point is, UCF won. They pulled it out, barely. This was a tough game. But this could’ve gone either way. Just because a team loses doesn’t mean they collapsed. It happens. Relax and pay them boys on the back for the job they did. Dang!

The positive of this game is that they did open it up, they didn’t seem to handle being up big very well, that’s on the coaching staff to maintain the discipline and intensity and can be fixed. Sucks to lose a game that was in hand but the next 3 games can go your way if they address these issues.

We were once again lied to this offseason with running backs that could “take it to the house”. They have to have attempted this. They failed to build confidence against LIU. This team should be much improved this year but doesn’t look great (9-10 wins)

I am pleased by this. TCU should treat hauss like Florida did with Tim Tebow in 2006-2009 in big jumbo packages

I saw the mistake they made. It was around the 4 minute mark, in their end zone, they threw the ball twice. They should have ran on 1st and 2nd. Then, easily pick up a 1st down. UFC defense couldn't stop them. Briles mess up big time! I truly miss GP.

I still don't understand the call kicking the fg to go up by 6 vs. going for a TD to seal the game. We all knew UCF was going to score with 4 minutes left. At least if UCF hit a fg, you go to OT at home. That D wasn't going to stop them at that point.

Feels like the transfer of Damonic Williams in the offseason and the loss of Avery Helm to injury were both big contributors to the UCF loss. Desperately needed stout presence in the middle of the DL and an elite cover corner to help out JT

Tcu had a strong start the pass game was very strong but obvious and passed when they should have ran the run sucked or they barly ran at all and the defense looked weak the second half

I re-watched the game. I think we played well and really well at times. UCF is a good team, we still should have won. They are going to wear on teams up front, especially on a hot humid night. We didn't run the ball a lot and to be honest if they are loading the box we don't need to run it that much. I am okay with the quick passing game to supplement it. We made a couple crucial mistakes or else I think we win this game comfortably. Got to give it to them, they are a tough team with some really talented dudes. We are still in this, we will learn from it and we will get better.

If TCU cannot stop the opponent….they did not collapse. They were defeated. Anyone could see UCF wanted to do and you still could not stop it

I'm not a fan of TCU, but for the life of me, i dont get why Kendal got away from his dad's offense. His offense doesnt look anything like what Art ran, and isnt nearly as effective. Man i still have nightmares of those BU offenses....now those defenses werent very good, and when they did lose, it was bc teams just scored at will on Baylor. I guess that could be the reason, but just surprising to me.
