The man singing "Starblade" in multi-part harmony and the 1001 stuff is Michael Mills. You should look up his band "Toehider" (which is a play on the Dutch word "toehoorder" which means "listener". At least, that's what he says... Also, it's only loosely a "band", it's really just him playing all the instruments and singing all the harmonies). It's not what you expect. If you want a fun song, look for "How Much For That Dragon's Tooth". If you'd rather see a better showcase of his musical abilities, try "Whatever Makes You Feel Superior".

Nightwish is the gateway to discovering all these great European bands that here in the states we never get to experience because we love auto tuned garbage. But enough ranting. Second singer is Tommy Karevik, he’s Swedish and was with a band called Seventh Wonder, he’s now the lead singer with Kamelot. He does a beautiful duet with Charlotte Wessels called Under Grey Skies, it’s one of my favourite duets ever.

What about a female fronted band from Germany wich has stylistic influences from Korn, Slipknot and In This Moment? -> Null Positiv Their highly charismatic, energetic and powerful singer Elli Berlin has a large range from clean over harsh vocals up (or better down) to growls. Her voice is really unique in a very positive way. A band that is definitely worth to be reacted to 🤘 I love their power ballad „Wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer“ (incl. English caption) which such an intense atmosphere. Funny you should say musical, its very hard for Ayroen to tour, as he use so many diffrent musicians from around the world, and well i think he also like it that way, those musicians and singers also got their own bands to tour with, so that is a thing that almost never happens. however Ayreon di make a live show setup in the musical/storytelling way.. called Ayreon universe.. where he managed to gather basicly all of the musicians involved, really cool..

I can tell by your moves that you enjoy discovering harmonies and patterns. You are in the right place with Ayreon, this river of vibrations runs deep and wide. It's hard to put into words how immense the landscape is that has been painted in sound here. There have been many good song suggestions already, but I'd like to add that there's hardly any song by Arjen that I can't recommend. The best way though to get the full experience is listening to an album in track order, every album is an epic tale. A Sci Fi audiobook series like none other. The best place to get an idea of how wide the landscape that Arjen has painted in sound is the Best Of live show. The "into the electric castle" story is the only one that also has a live version, I can highly recommend it. This rabbit hole is a universe with a rich past, future, emotions and other dimensions. It's a perilous journey, but Arjen is an excellent guide. Enjoy the ride PS: my votes for single songs would be Day Sixteen: Loser, and If you like more electronic vibes: the intro to the Universal Migrator (The Dream Sequencer) is one of my favourites. That album would be right up your alley, I think. These albums have been my bedtime stories for a looong time, and I'm still hoping to discover that Ayreon is not in a class all by itself.

I gotta tell you, you're fast becoming one of my favorite reactors! All of us want someone who LOVES the same music we do - or barring that, at least someone who loves music and gets into it with genuine enjoyment. Sometimes I find music because of a great reactor. That's how I found Ayreon last year. So I'm well pleased to see this reaction. Keep up the great work, JVB. You're fucking awesome.
Well if there is a Prog project/band that can give you an amalgam of greatest voices in Metal, it must be AYREON. Arjen even got Bruce Dickinson to sing for him at one point, for Pete's sake! AND this is the kind of Prog that displays enough soul to keep you interested first, immersed later. Another project that Arjen himself references in the notes to this video is AVANTASIA - more of a Power/Heavy Metal opera stylistic, also with numerous singers taking up the "roles". Captain Tobias Sammet is the mastermind behind that one. "The Seven Angels" is the long song to start with, if you so decide. :) But my favorites are the likes of "Reach Out for the Light" or, on the other end of the speed dial - "Farewell". God do I love that song! In short, if you just take the guest list for this here track (or for the mentioned "The Seven Angels") and branch out to their own bands - it will keep you on a happy journey of discovery for a long time! Should I list those 11 singers you've experienced? Some, you already know.. Ah, what the heck, even if I double someone's work, it is worth it: James LaBrie (DREAM THEATER); Tommy Karevik (KAMELOT and SEVENTH WONDER - you MUST hear them! you might get turned unto Prog!); Tommy Rogers (BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME); Simone Simons (EPICA); Nils K. Yeah, so for what it's worth... Don't know you, never seen you before. Most of my judgement is admittedly based on how and why I react to new experiences. I loved that you found many of the core threads in this giant collaboration. So much talent organized to convey a specific story-driven performance. Arjen is an incredibly gifted madman-ring-master, in the service of his overarching vision, and this end result speaks for itself (you should definitely go back and read all the narration). Arjen has been working with over 100 of the top musicians and singers from all over the world - and a lot of them several times (he started with Floor back in 2000). My 3 recommendations: 1. "Kings call" - Phill Lynott had a great voice and here he is playing with Mark Knoffler (Dire Straight), in the greatest tribute song to Elvis ever made. 2. "You make me feel" - from the German heavy rock band Bonfire. This is a sweet ballad, where his voice really shines. 3. "While love died', Northward - a super hard rock project with the greatest singer in this century, plus a great guitarist from Pagan's Mind. Simple, sweaty old scool - but I can't help getting happy inside. This was 3 pieces, not from Nightwish - (Floor is not in Nightwish here!!) 😉 But please consider some more Nightwish - their music is so versatile. You should definitely know Dark Quarterer, an Italian Epic / Progressive Metal band that has nothing to envy to the great English or American bands. The songs Dark Quarterer, The Etruscan Prophecy, Retributioner, Pyramids of Skulls are masterpieces of this genre

For some great songwriting, check out Wintersun with the song "Time" from their Sonic Pump Studios rehearsal session. It's the song that warmed me up to harsh vocals (but it has a lot of clean vocals as well).

If you want to listen to more Ayreon, I would recommend picking a random song from the "Electric castle and other tales" concert. That singer you liked toward the end - Michael Eriksen, with the lovely clean sound - is in a Norwegian progressive band called Circus Maximus. Circus Maximus is one of those bands that is so progressive as to be almost unlistenable, but Michael is a truly amazing singer.

"Everybody dies" von Ayrion wäre der nächste Schritt, denn das ist live. 😁 Aurora hat übrigens eine neuen neuen Song rausgebracht, heißt "Cure for me". Der richtet sich hauptsächlich gegen Institutionen die eine Heilung gegen Homosexualität versprechen. Darüber hinaus ist es aber auch der Mittelfinger den sie ihren Hatern zeigt, die sich über sie und Leute wie sie lustig machen und verurteilen für ihre Ticks und Movements ect. Darüber hinaus ist der Song auch instrumental komplett anders als das was man von Aurora kennt.

As far as vocalists are concerned they all tell a good mood or set a good mood... But the one thing I would have changed is at the end I would have had Brittany (slayes) Hayes finished it off with her power and duration and depth, not Floor.

Second singer is Tommy Karevik, he’s Swedish and was with a band called Seventh Wonder, he’s now the lead singer with Kamelot. He does a beautiful duet with Charlotte Wessels called Under Grey Skies, it’s one of my favourite duets ever.

Funny you should say musical, its very hard for Ayroen to tour, as he use so many diffrent musicians from around the world, and well i think he also like it that way, those musicians and singers also got their own bands to tour with, so that is a thing that almost never happens.
however Ayreon di make a live show setup in the musical/storytelling way.. called Ayreon universe.. where he managed to gather basicly all of the musicians involved, really cool..

I can tell by your moves that you enjoy discovering harmonies and patterns. You are in the right place with Ayreon, this river of vibrations runs deep and wide. It's hard to put into words how immense the landscape is that has been painted in sound here.
There have been many good song suggestions already, but I'd like to add that there's hardly any song by Arjen that I can't recommend.
The best way though to get the full experience is listening to an album in track order, every album is an epic tale. A Sci Fi audiobook series like none other.
The best place to get an idea of how wide the landscape that Arjen has painted in sound is the Best Of live show.
The "into the electric castle" story is the only one that also has a live version, I can highly recommend it.
This rabbit hole is a universe with a rich past, future, emotions and other dimensions. It's a perilous journey, but Arjen is an excellent guide.

PS: my votes for single songs would be Day Sixteen: Loser, and If you like more electronic vibes: the intro to the Universal Migrator (The Dream Sequencer) is one of my favourites. That album would be right up your alley, I think.

I gotta tell you, you're fast becoming one of my favorite reactors! All of us want someone who LOVES the same music we do - or barring that, at least someone who loves music and gets into it with genuine enjoyment. Sometimes I find music because of a great reactor. Well if there is a Prog project/band that can give you an amalgam of greatest voices in Metal, it must be AYREON. Arjen even got Bruce Dickinson to sing for him at one point, for Pete's sake! AND this is the kind of Prog that displays enough soul to keep you interested first, immersed later. Another project that Arjen himself references in the notes to this video is AVANTASIA - more of a Power/Heavy Metal opera stylistic, also with numerous singers taking up the "roles". Captain Tobias Sammet is the mastermind behind that one. "The Seven Angels" is the long song to start with, if you so decide. :) But my favorites are the likes of "Reach Out for the Light" or, on the other end of the speed dial - "Farewell". God do I love that song!
In short, if you just take the guest list for this here track (or for the mentioned "The Seven Angels") and branch out to their own bands - it will keep you on a happy journey of discovery for a long time! Should I list those 11 singers you've experienced? Some, you already know.. Ah, what the heck, even if I double someone's work, it is worth it:

Yeah, so for what it's worth...
Don't know you, never seen you before. Most of my judgement is admittedly based on how and why I react to new experiences. I loved that you found many of the core threads in this giant collaboration. So much talent organized to convey a specific story-driven performance. Arjen is an incredibly gifted madman-ring-master, in the service of his overarching vision, and this end result speaks for itself (you should definitely go back and read all the narration).

Arjen has been working with over 100 of the top musicians and singers from all over the world - and a lot of them several times (he started with Floor back in 2000).
My 3 recommendations:
1. "Kings call" - Phill Lynott had a great voice and here he is playing with Mark Knoffler (Dire Straight), in the greatest tribute song to Elvis ever made.
2. "You make me feel" - from the German heavy rock band Bonfire. This is a sweet ballad, where his voice really shines.
3. "While love died', Northward - a super hard rock project with the greatest singer in this century, plus a great guitarist from Pagan's Mind. Simple, sweaty old scool - but I can't help getting happy inside.
This was 3 pieces, not from Nightwish - (Floor is not in Nightwish here!!) 😉
But please consider some more Nightwish - their music is so versatile.

You should definitely know Dark Quarterer, an Italian Epic / Progressive Metal band that has nothing to envy to the great English or American bands. The songs Dark Quarterer, The Etruscan Prophecy, Retributioner, Pyramids of Skulls are masterpieces of this genre

That singer you liked toward the end - Michael Eriksen, with the lovely clean sound - is in a Norwegian progressive band called Circus Maximus. Circus Maximus is one of those bands that is so progressive as to be almost unlistenable, but Michael is a truly amazing singer.

As far as vocalists are concerned they all tell a good mood or set a good mood... But the one thing I would have changed is at the end I would have had Brittany (slayes) Hayes finished it off with her power and duration and depth, not Floor.
What you should work on is less pauses maybe one or two but not as much as you did
