Now that I see it backing up, maybe the blade idea isn't a good one. If any blade at all a short one just under the pickup convayor that could angle up and down but not sure there would be any real advantage to that. Does look like your leaving quite a bit of your usable soils behind you with the screen being as such a sharp angle. For sure have to have it at a greater angle than a stationary screening plant but if there were a way to change the angle and keep a bit more of your soil so the back fill process could go a little faster. But again, would it be worth the effort?
Robert Palmore my grandfather can Landrum and a friend of his Rick layh invented a machine called the Rockeater. the rock eater did have a blade that could angle up and down and two large arms for scooping up huge rocks in the mountains. my grandfather passed and Rick sold the company to this company which now claims they invented this idea of padding. you can look up Rick layh and can Landrum on the Aussie pipeline padderagazine website or just type them in Google. Ozzie's got rid of all pics and videos of my grandfather's invention so no one would attempt to recreate the better closed cab stronger machine.
