Every time someone comes up with a new idea or machine some one that probably has only seen it on here has think they have the better ideas.

Why isn't the operator working downhill with the weight of the machine against the windrow?

Now that I see it backing up, maybe the blade idea isn't a good one. If any blade at all a short one just under the pickup convayor that could angle up and down but not sure there would be any real advantage to that. Does look like your leaving quite a bit of your usable soils behind you with the screen being as such a sharp angle. For sure have to have it at a greater angle than a stationary screening plant but if there were a way to change the angle and keep a bit more of your soil so the back fill process could go a little faster. But again, would it be worth the effort?

Looks like you can change the dig depth by pushing the front end down or up. Would it be better if the cab was stationary and just a blade moved up and down? There was a section on a hill where the back fill looked a little thin. Cool machine.

Things a piece of junk. Running one on the rover pipeline and the sensors are overkill. I'm always having to use the bypass switch to boom up or down. It's a tank backing up hills but going forward it's way to much

SantaFe, usually they are used for oil and gas pipeline but they are also used in other type of projects. For example we have some machinery working on a project in Ecuador for a water pipeline. As far as sewer and drainage, I haven't heard of any news on that.

If by some remote chance the Keystone XL pipeline is approved, will the project look like this one? Are these machine also used to lay sewer and drainage pipes?

I wanna work on one of those! :(
