I didn't until I accidentally bought a pair of vintage Soviet full range speakers. They were absolutely amazing. I didn't know they were full range because they had fixed grills and they were like $30 online. Were they as good as my $14,000 Wilson Benesh Square 5's - NO. but the fact they could be compared to them is simply ASTONISHING Sadly I lost them is house move. They were LOMO KINAP 25А.
@@piccalillipit9211 Same here, until I bought a pair of SB Acoustics 8" whizzer cones on a whim. $120 shipped... not bad. Tossed them in a big 140L TQWT, designed in HornResp. I was pleasantly surprised. The directivity is a mess... laser sharp, as is expected. They sound much, much better than measurements would suggest. Less is more with these drivers. The design challenge makes for a fun project. I've got fancy studio monitors with DSP, all sorts of bookshelf speakers, you name it. With a background in recording, I'm no stranger to accuracy. That said- there's just something about these old whizzer cone designs.
You listen to this clip over your own Speakers. So nobody can judge this speakers, you must listen them live. But Fullrangesound is sometimes difficult to describe, and some people like and other ones don´t like it! For me personal is Fullrangesound the best, but every one can listen to music and so on as they want! ;)
@@sebastianbruche8037 To me the sound isn't integrated. It sounds like 3-4 different recordings, all with their own acoustic, layered together. I think the speaker deserves better than that.
@@sebastianbruche8037 Full range is always bad, unless you are listening to solo saxophone. No real highs or lows, and terrible intermodulation distortion from that poor little membrane trying to reproduce the sound of a tube and a violin at the same time. It's Physics - and I can hear it even from outside the room. Not to mention what the "back loading" does to timing. OK for this kind of lightweight music, I guess, but still not for critical listening.
@@AALavdas I said everyone can listen to his music as he want. So Fullrangesound is for me the best way to go, and for you not so it is. But you not can say, Fullrange sound is always bad. And the membrane of an Fe206en or nv is 20cm, this is not a small one. Is not every music fan a critical listener? ;) And I also don´t listen to everything about my BK208 with the Fostex Fe206en, for me is the Couplet from Visaton a relly good LoudspeakerBox, to. Only threeway Speakers is not so good for me to listen! And I mean it, only for me not other people! @Deluk Yes, it seems so. The most SpeakerBoxes sounds different to you or me ...

Soundstage is warm and cozy but feels closed in always
48 inches tall is not so tall. Nice sound from those speakers in such a tight space.
