Gender Queer was my last 5-star read. I love how you succinctly describe the books you adored.

Ooh I'll check it out! Ah thank you! It was quite tricky, seeing as I'm used to having 5 ish mins to talk about one book 😅

Great to hear you talk about books again! My 5-star reads in 2023 are Crow Lake by Mary Lawson, Kindred by Octavia E. Butler, O Caledonia by Elspeth Parker, Germinal by Émile Zola and Wade in the Water by Nyani Nkrumah (the last one a must-read if you like To Kill a Mockingbird).

I loved The Woman in White too! The elegance of the writing is so joyous! I'm also excited to read Our Missing Hearts because I've loved other Celeste Ng books. My latest five-star book was Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty :)

Yes, he is such an elegant writer isn't he? Have you read anything else by him? I'm wondering where to go next. I enjoyed Our Missing Hearts! Didn't love it quite as much as Little Fire Everywhere, though. Ooh I still haven't read any Liane Moriarty!

Thanks you for this video!I prefer when you detail the books. It is more interresting to know the resume and your point of view about the books than just the grades(sorry i'm not english speaker).

Thank you for watching! I completely understand. Unfortunately because I had a long break and had so many books to talk about I couldn't discuss them all in detail. Back to normal in upcoming videos though!

Alan Garner's BEST books - The Weirdstone of Brasingleman and Elidor. Philip Madoc reading Weirdstone on Audio takes the story into orbit. Especially if you listen in bed!

I am a very slow reader and am still on the latest Robert Galbraith book. I have plenty of other stories lined up though and I'm also going through my poetry collection in surname alphabetical order (so Kim Addonizio first).
