Guild Wars 2's New Expansion Format Is Coming Up Short?

A bit more biting of a commentary on the expansion format than I perhaps intended, but just me sharing my unrehearsed thoughts on the new format for GW2's releases and why I think it's not working (at least for me).
What are your thoughts on the new format?
(And yes, when I said Vabbi I meant Jahai Bluffs just below it)

It's exactly what you said, the maps are good, the story is alright, the release cadence of stuff to do and collect is pretty bad.
Even though earlier expansions had a massive horrible drought between them, I think it's now just more noticeable due to it recurring more often with less content released in between.

I didn't buy it. Not before they start honoring the original GW2 narrative. Now they are forcing people into the new expansion by the new weapons/maps/stats but the quality gameplay decreases.
Even now when i enter Cantha it's deserted. All the players wanted is the Turtle.

I literally find groups almost everyday to do any content necessary in the game. I've gone back and done the meta of most of the maps multiple times so people are definitely still in cantha. And if you want to see more people, just kind of moving around. Guild wars 2 has always been like that most of the players tend to be in the newer content because a lot of the players are older so they're farming the new stuff for me. There's stuff for me to do in all parts of the game, but I've been focusing mostly on your content because I want the legendary armor and I can really only farm the stuff I need for that in the new content. But I've had reasons to go back to every expansion almost everyday for various things and for new players I end up just bumping into them. I see more new players wandering around, most veterans are doing the newesst content/ or content they just want to work on which is the pricks of this game. You set your own goals and work towards it. And you probably be able to find a group that's doing what you need or just start one people will join

You want to see a deserted game? Play literally 99% of zones in ANY other MMO out there.
GW2 is in my experience the only MMO where you always find players in every map.
Just go and play WoW, even the majority of the newest xpac zones are completely empty.
Idk if it is the population or game reward/scaling structure or simply the server tech but GW2 really does this thing well.

for me the thing is the quality of the content they're releasing. idc if the content is small, i care if it's good! the maps in SOTO are worst then in EOD, the storytelling are worst, the new legendary collection are worst, the story instances are worst, almost EVERYTHING is SOTO are worst then the previous expacs! again, i don't care if the new expacs are small, i care is the little content we are getting are good or no, and for me its not, its just.... alright.... and alright its not enough
