- Just like any other MMO Guild Wars 2 has its cash shop, but there are a lot of things in here! Some of it useful , some of it a total waste of money, and some that will definitely help you pass your next drip check! But what is even worth it to buy, what are the useful things? I this video we will go over the my top picks from the gem store for better quality of life and value.

@@NielsTaelman You always identify it before salvaging because then it has a chance of increasing in rarity.
@@NielsTaelmanopen all of them and then salvage all the worthless gear. You get way more materials. Then you can keep them if you want to craft or you can sell them on the Trading Post if you don't need them
I sell them especally green I make 5-10 gold a day off of a couple of meta runs
if you plan on salvaging them you want to identify since you have a small chance to get higher tier gear out of identifying. might not be much of a chance but over time/amount identified it is worth it. Plus it doesnt cost much time and effort: just right click - use all and it will identify the whole stack automatically

Candy Corn Gobbler: Unlimited EXP Booster 50%(only Available on Halloween)
snowflake Gobbler: Another unlimited Exp Booster 25%(eats snowflakes, available on winter event)
Both of those are great choices too! Especially during the holiday events.
And zhaitaffy gobbler, during dragon bash festival (which is now). Same functionalities.
I'd like to point out a correction in your video regarding unbreakable tools. Anet has recently made significant changes to some of the unbreakable tools. Some of them now feature selectable glyphs, allowing you to choose your preferred aesthetics, instead of being limited to pre-selected ones. This means you can now purchase the one you find most aesthetically pleasing rather than being restricted to those with pre-selected glyphs.
Currently the ones with those boxes are:
Infinite Choya Gathering Tools (3)
Infinite Cosmic Gathering Tools (3)
Infinite Elemental Gathering Tools (3)
Infinite Glacial Gathering Tools (3)
Infinite Skyscale Gathering Tools (3)
Infinite Vermilion Gathering Tools (3)

What about the volatile magic gathering tools? it says is not available in the gem store, where should look for them?
So .. They changed the rechargable teleport to friend from 60 minutes cooldown to 10 minutes

EDIT2: Also, VIP areas are now pretty useless, you can just use Wizard Tower, it even has a teleportation item

Good point lots of easy mastery points available in the living story maps.
Personally I still think Mistlock Sanctuary and Armistice Bastion are useful. Since they give you direct access to things like fractals and wvw services
Technically yes, but the qol improvement is much lower than it used to be, for the same price. In my opinion, creating Wizard Tower and not lowering the price of VIP areas was a dick move by ANET
I love the black lion chest/keys. Its was how i was able to get all of my nodes from the trading co as 100 of those lion heads you can buy nodes, or even unbreakable tools and the like. Or if I missed something that I liked from the gem store; at time I can go buy that way to do it. It was how i got Roundtail Dragon Jade Bot Skin.
Edit to add what I think SHOULD be in the list.
1) rechargable teleport to friend. Cool down is now 10 min
2) World Boss Portal Device. This also lets you know NOT ONLY the world bosses but also Drakkar, Dragonstorm and Convergences. Give you a 10min heads up and its FREE teleport to that location.
3) any of the black lion expedition board (on reset you get send from mail resources for free)
4) the Growing Crops. 2 is from Gem store, the last third one is from achievement.
5) Infinite Fishing Lure (helps a lot for fishing achievements).
The World Boss teleporter is a must!
Never missed an event because I didn't have that...
It also saves you gold in the long run, the teleport doesn't charge you for the waypoint.

For anyone getting started with all this, I would STRONGLY recommend the Elite Jumpstart pack, it has a Copper-fed Salvage-o-Matic, a full set of basic Unbreakable Gathering Tools, a Character Slot Expansion, a Shared Inventory Slot, and an infinite Royal Terrace Pass. I realize its not the absolute best of each category, but its 5700 Gems worth of items, for 2400. You can always grab the rest as the need arises

@@punani_slayer4209 There are some "lounges" (I think that's what they are called?) the important part is they contain all of the available crafting stations and other material services in a small and easily accessible area. I believe Royal Terrace is also special, as it is one of only a few that is a two-way teleport, where as many are only one way. Someone can correct me if I am wrong on that, I have taken an extended break from the game to focus on grad school.
No need for VIP passes anymore since we have the Wizards Tower. Bank/Guild Bank, crafting, trading post, mystic toilet, and several other random vendors around. Sure, the vip lounges have even more functionality but the wizards tower covers like 80% of the needs

I love when the game design purposely makes issues just for you to pay to fix them. POE. GW, Wow, etc.
Sure, fund the game, but just do cosmetics and paid expansions. O wait, Gw2 had that, and they still charge for quailty of life. They are lucky the rest of the game is amazing.

@@Marzaus I had a few opinions about the recommendations, overall ending up rather critical about the video. But it didn't contain any words or phrases that were caught by automatic moderation (aka censorship...) in the past. Also, that happens instantaneously. My comment here stayed up for several minutes.

So lets try again... explain to me why is cooper-fed so great? If you actually do the maths, you straigh up loose gold by using it (instead of just selling stuff). It is one of the worst buys you can make, especially now with uniden. gear stacks that you just sell.

The reason why I like the copper fed kit is like I said in the video, for convenience sake. I know if you do the math it won't save you gold, but for people who don't want to have to buy several kits to salvage a full inventory it's a very convenient item to have. Simply click once and that's it.
@@Evan4K Then maybe just warn them about loosing a lot of potential gold :) I would atleast mention to sell unid. stacks before using. That is nothing time consuming to do
@@MarzausHow are you this dense? Most of the gem shop purchases are for quality of life improvements. Not everything in the game has to be centered around making gold. I personally am not a fan of frequenting a merchant to buy 25 stacks of salvaging kits hence the importance of copper fed and why a lot of players recommend it.

Yes sure, its faster, but there is faster and profitable, and faster and stupid.
If you salvage everything with copper-fed, thats straight up stupid thing to do. Every player wants gold, so telling them to throw it away is to me terrible advice.
And why make a video to help ppl, if you are giving them terrible advices.
Just mention what to use the copper-fed for, mention unid. stacks, or just warn them ATLEAST.
Everyone praises the item like a repeating parrot without thinking first...
@@Marzaus it saves you a slots, salvage kits, pottentially waypoints fare, costs copper but gives you mats, more importantly the time it save by not doing all of those gives you more than enough ROI in the long run, it gives you more gametime to actually farm

This is really good content! For me, though, it doesn't really matter to me when it comes to buying things in the game instead of having something reusable to do it for me. So things like the salvage items and gathering tools in the store are things I wouldn't bother buying.
That's a fair point, most things in the gem store are can be debated based on personal priorities and preferences like that.
