I feel like when we're teens, we still have this fantasy of your first one being the last one and that's why it's scary, because our whole world revolved around our crush. If he respected his sister, he wouldn't have created any type of situation with her friend, now he's opened a door that didn't need to be opened and it puts the sister in an awkward position, where since they've both expressed interest, she has to relent and let them pursue it or she's the asshole in the situation but since he put her in that position, he's really the asshole and he's definitely the asshole if it doesn't work out.

My experience with my crushes:
3 of them reciprocated, but nothing happened because it would have been a LDR. One of them is actually to this day the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my 32 years of life. You know how much that sucks? Having a 10/10 woman crush on you, but you two live in different countries so nothing ever happens (we met while I was on vacation).
1 said she had feelings as well but was in a relationship, but would want to date if she were single again. She did end up being single again, but we lost touch so I take that as her not actually been interested. She was my longest crush. She was my best friend during undergrad and I was crushing on her for almost three years before asking her out.
Only one reciprocated that actually led to us dating/hooking up for a few weeks. Those weeks were wonderful and I was on cloud 9. Turns out she was soon to be engaged and she blocked/ghosted me to cover her tracks. That woman was the devil. She broke my heart.

I- I can’t even fathom how well it went for all these people. Like here I am at 20, 21 in a few weeks, and have never been in a relationship nor had that typically teenage “first love” type of experience. It’s sad when I think about it tbh bc I feel that’s something a lot of people enjoy about their teenage years. I feel as you get older, it’s easier for people to go on dates and relationships to work more easily whereas right now it’s so difficult and for what? All the games, hook uk culture, etc. I’ve had situationships sure, but more times than not I’ve had so many times people screwed me over to where I stopped. I focused on myself and bettered myself as a person, so I’m far more Independent and feel great being single. Just sucks seeing how easy it could be and me being worried I’ll be a 40 year old with no one.

It’s different. The older you get, the less crushes you have because you learn to pursue women who you’re interested in and not hide it which then develops into a crush. In my experience, I’m dating the woman before I develop feelings for her so it’s different. The excitement of a crush isn’t really there anymore. Last crush I had was when I was 26 (I’m 32 now). Sat next to a cute woman on a 15hr flight. Exchanged contact info, we went back and forth for a few weeks before our first date. By then I was already getting butterflies from just thinking about her. She ended up being a horrible person. She was soon to be engaged and lied to me. I had no idea I was the other guy and she ended up blocking and ghosting me to cover her tracks.
My “first love” was crushing on my cousin’s wife’s younger sister. God she was beautiful. To this day, she’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in real life. She had feelings for me as well which is nuts because I’m like an 8 and this girl was honest to god the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Unfortunately she had a bf and we were always surrounded by family so nothing ever happened. Plus we lived in different countries. Everyone knew though that we both really liked it each other. Looking back I wish I would have just kissed her. I had several chances, but I wussed out because I was scared she didn’t feel the same which sounds hilarious to me now because that girl had it bad for me. She even grabbed my dick once and I was still like “I’m not sure if she has feelings for me lmao”. Teenage guys are clueless morons I tell you, at least I was.
I want to add that people are very inexperienced and immature in their early 20s and teenage years, that’s why it’s hard. Dating while older has its own challenges. You have less commonality with people around you because everyone takes different roads in life so naturally there’s a greater divergence in values, career, finances, family matters, etc.,. Just focus on you, a woman shouldn’t be a factor in your happiness. Focus on creating a life where you don’t need anybody to feel happy. Once you’re at that place, women will gravitate towards you. Pay close attention to a woman’s close friends. People are usually very similar to their close friends. For example, 2 of my first gf’s closest friends were cheaters. Big surprise, my gf cheated on me as well. Also, imo the most important quality in a partner is loyalty. I don’t mean in her just being faithful, but a ride or die type of loyalty. The type of loyalty you have with your family where you know no matter how mad you get at each other, you always have each other’s backs. Another extremely important character trait for a partner is selflessness. DO NOT DATE SELFISH WOMEN. Never ever. Selfish people are incapable of falling fully in love. I can prove this to you, but I don’t feel like typing more. If you date a selfish woman it will always be a one sided relationship. The more selfless a person is, the more in love they’re capable of being.

I did literally that and she`s ghosting me ever since , she doesn`t even talk to me in work. We just talked it through once and she just said she`s an "eternal single" and it`s not my fault. The worst thing is that i still have to be around her in work even after all of that. Turns out, she's hitting on my friend from work now. Normally she's pretty quiet and shy but when she's around him and I'm there she's purposefully being different. I even catch her looking on me right after convos with him. I don't act toxic like her , I just talk to her courteously and when I have to. I still have some feelings for her but I'm not starting conversations with her/ I'm not messaging her and I'm doing pretty good. Only when I work with her my mood is different but it's fine , I adjust pretty quickly and soon she's going places so she won't be around anymore. The best part in all of this is that i have pretty good contact with this guy and I know he's completely not interested in her plus he told me she told him about me and what i did. Idk what she has in her head but I feel like she does not care about other people's feelings at all. Take care guys , always put yourself first and focus on yourself primarly.

I was the one who always rejected anyone who liked me, or confessed their feelings. I think back on it now, and I was horrible at communicating, which meant I definitely hurt them more.
So, I've never been fully rejected, but I'm really hesitant, so I'd take my time getting to know the person if I actually did like them.

Someone actually did this to me years ago but it was SO CREEPY because it was a person I had actually never met. He called me and wanted to get to know me better because he loved my blog. At any point in time you can be taken off this earth, go for it I say though if the crush isn't in a relationship and there's a mutual understanding between you two. Sometimes signals are misunderstood, or maybe their sexuality isn't the same as yours or maybe even they have someone else in mind. That's some reasons why openly communicating is important.

I would be. I still have a crush on one girl from a school I used to study at, even though its been like 4 years. And yeah, I'm too chickensh*t to just text her about my feelings, cause idk, I always feel like it'd be weird if I did. Meh, I'm at the stage when I'm slowly accepting that getting your crush/romantic feelings reciprocated is something that happens to other people, just not to me. I've had enough rejections to last me a lifetime.
