    Hi Mathew, I am a recently retired Bromeliad junkie but thanks to you with all your test runs on Orchids growing in Melbourne, I now have to confess to having a second habit. My large shade cloth covered pergola is starting to become a mix of both of these great epiphytic plant species. I only buy from Rosella and Red Fox orchids because between them I can get all the Orchids you suggest at a good price in great condition and at flowering sizes. Keep your great videos coming and best of luck with you channel.

      Thanks for finding me Steven! I'd also throw Darkstar into the mix for species orchids, Mt Beenak and Nickys Slippers.

    Love your sense of style. Should you cut off drying out pseudobulbs without leaves.

    • @helloplantlovers
      @helloplantlovers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! I would only trim off old and obviously shrivelled pseudobulbs when you re-pot and/or divide a plant. Otherwise, even leafless, they are still contributing energy to the plant if they are still plump and healthy, despite looking a tad unsightly!

    It gets Upto 90f here in USA . Is it safe to put it outside under a roof outside.

    • @helloplantlovers
      @helloplantlovers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there - thanks for watching - it gets that hot here too in summer. As long as its in shade and is watered correctly it should be fine. They do need a good night time temperature difference though to flower well.

    • @helloplantlovers
      @helloplantlovers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rubymahajan4235 You need to allow the medium to dry - but not completely - between waterings. So that will depend on your local conditions.
