IKEA has fragrant Phals now! They have what looks like a bellina or amboensis hybrid, (it's yellow with tiny pink spots, and those pointy sepals), and they had quite a few there for $10.

Fantastic assortment! Appreciated your discussion of each one. Solving mystery plants is fun. Our local grocery stores are starting to branch out from just phalanopsis to selling a few cattleyas. However I need to go back to visit Carter and Holmes Orchids (the nearest nursery to us devoted to orchids)and see what oncidiums currently are on offer.

In Spain, I do not see any diversity of this magnitude 🙃 but, perhaps Cyprus has caught on to the fact that there is one client who scourers their shops and buys their gems if they keep bringing them in 😁 ... lovely to see this happening though! Was in several shops today and nothing close to your haul happening here xx
Congratulations! That's a stunning haul. I wish I ran into things like that around here. Where I live the opposite trend seems to be happening. I am finding less and less diversity and more and more phals. Even places I could reliably count on to have some different things just don't anymore. Maybe now that summer is finally creeping it's way here and temperatures are warmer I will start seeing some better things. I did find two very lovely and unique looking den phals I snatched up even though they were full price. It was so unusual to see anything other than phals I didn't want to wait. Anything different or unique I've had to order. At least this is a good time for shipping plants. Not too cold and not too hot (yet).

Nr. 11: I think it is Wilsonara (now Oncidium) Dianne Feinstein 'Red Ruby'. This one seems to have some different variations according to the pictures. And I would die for number 2,3 and 12, have never seen something similar in any flower shop or nursery. :)

I get these hybrids in my shop and they are from a dutch supplier called javado and they always do such an amazing supply of hybrids i got a mystic maze last year they are not so comon in their mix so count your self luck 😊😊😊😊😊😊

It does look very very similar to 9, but the flowers are smaller, mild fragrance and a different color. (The tag says oncidium integrated, with the nickname of dancing ladies)
Holy smokes ! What an amazing beauties ! It's really dificult to identify them... I have one kind of oncidium type orchid, it had a label with the name "Cambria" on it... :/ I try to look for it on the internet, but all I could find is that it is sometimes "spider orchid" called because of the way the petals look like and that it might be a Brassia or Miltassia hybrid... After looking through dozens of photos I just stopped... I couldn't find a name for it, really frustrating !
Austria gets oncidium hybrids all the time...but to be honest I am kinda of sick of them because they are never labelled and the flower looks relatively "normal". I want to see more exotic stuff but of course you need special conditions in stores and they can't provide that...You always want what you can't have LOL In any case all together the haul looks very colourful and varied so enjoy the flowers 🌺🌻🏵🌸🌼🌻🌸🌹🏵

Im from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 an island in the Caribbean and the offer of oncidium intergenerics here is also diversifying. I dont have not much oncidiums because I live in a dry coastal town and they require more care than otheres but I would love to acquire those rusty orange and red ones because they are just stunning *_* everytime I visit a Orchid Flower Shop I have in my area i see them and I just want them 😭😭
I think a lot of places are getting in more than just phals- even at my local supermarket I actually found a few vandas. I think the market is just getting a bit bigger- to the benefit of your channel I hope! If anyone comes to me looking for orchid advice I'll know exactly where to send them. (Btw, I'm in New Hampshire in the U.S., so seeing vandas anywhere outside of a greenhouse was quite perplexing!)

Can the flower shop help you out with identification? I would assume they have some invoice or something from their supplier that might help you track down the IDs.

I have a Sharry Baby that had a new shoot and it started crinkling. Is it dehydrated? I keep watering it and babying it. Not sure what else to do. I have it planted in bark. Should I pot it in something else? Thanks for your help.

Yes they do, it takes water out of the orchid to cool them self and with flowers it gives them stress
