Great work! Looked shabby before, looks amazing now! How did you find the disassembly/assembly of the exterior panels? Looked fiddly - looks like it took a lot of trial and error on the rear to get everything to line up. Is there enough thickness in the plastic to sand out imperfections?

Thanks ! It was pretty simple and easy to disassemble and assemble back was easy too.
That back too a little bit of time cuz I didn’t want to remove the trunk lid but other then that all good!

did ur smart has clear plastic finish on top of the paint?mine is getting faiding away and i started to peal it off of the paint.o was wondering if u did the same thing and did u have to dand the plastic parts before paint?

Some smarts have self coloured plastic and they have just a clear coat over the plastic, that’s only plain colours so if yours is a metallic then it’s painted like a normal car over the plastic. The chassis is not painted at all, it’s powder coated.
