Ah, thank You! I have a character with some very fluffy, done-up hair and I wasn't sure how I was going to do his hair at all, but this totally helped!!
Wow, this is amazing!! Thanks for putting this video up!! It looks super easy to do. Now......time to hack up an old fake fur coat i have to make wigs!! Yay 😍
@@LomisPlayground recycling is one of the things I like best too...you can really take it to a new level with the dolls. I have found that I'm recycling a heap of cardboard that would have been sent off in the recycling bins and even bubble wrap has been used to pad doll furniture...you are an inspiration too! Any project that involves reusing or upcycling stuff is great... I spend a lot of time on environmental issues and all this helps. I even ended up making (plarn? Plastic bag yarn?) Doormats and pet feeding mats for my cabin and apartment. It's great feeling that you are reusing stuff that's thrown into landfills. My sister and I inherited a bigish chunk of woodland and we have replanted hundreds of indigenous trees and are keeping it as close to it's natural state as possible so it can serve as a sanctuary where the wildlife is safe from hunters. It's a big thing with me, the environment and wildlife so I love what you do to help. If every influencer was as conscious of the environment and recycling as you Lomi, it would be a huge breakthrough!
I was gifted my two BJDs (a DollZone Annie [Aria] and a Bobobie Apollo), and they both came with some clothes and they each had a faux fur wig included in their stuff. Unfortunately they're both...not great. Aria's is a bit better than Apollo's, but I'm hoping to eventually trim them up and maybe fix the hairlines a bit, since one of them just completely takes over my poor Apollo's head, and covers up all the awesome earring modifications that his previous owner gave him. That pattern bit was especially helpful for me, as it'll help me give my poor Apollo a better hairline. Poor boy needs a haircut. XD So, thanks for this video! Very informative and very helpful!
I'm so glad it's useful for you!! I know what it's like to have dolls come with... um... questionable wigs. At least they're not too hard to do. I actually really like fur wigs, but hemming them aggravates my carpal tunnel, so I don't make them often. The woes of a writer!
It's a very cool technique, but Faux fur and I have a rocky relationship at best. I'll stick with yarn wefts for now until I'm brave enough to try alpaca fibers :p
I wouldn't say I have the best relationship with it, either... For some reason, I always manage to ruin fur wigs. Oh, they're great for a few months, then some kind of calamity happens... Last time Vahn had a fur wig, it got caught in the zipper of my doll carrier and he ended up with a large bald spot. :/
This is perfect for the Final Fantasy style hair my boys are going to have! Thanks for the tutorial!!
I thought about faux fur wigs and I thought Lomi!... thanks for being right there doing exactly what I was hoping for! Fantastic Lomi!
Awesome!!! I’m binge watching the wig making videos...❤️❤️❤️
