I rode from Suffolk to Harrowgate, bike packing wild camping, last September to see some of the world champs...Got soaked 3 nights in a row. Epic fail. Great adventure though :D Poorly planned and had to get the train from Lincoln back as I was dejected, tired but kinda proud I made it there.
My 5 year old son watched this with a keen interest as he meet Dan yesterday in Dynamo

Good call having Dan ride in the car. Once you get to a certain point, you can't recover in any reasonable amount of time, and you're just a danger to yourself.
