I've mostly looked into this game's mechanics from a speedrunning and general glitching perspective. I dabbled with this kind of mechanics overlap glitches too, but never to this extent. You guys have made it into a real art form, looks impressive. Very in-depth video.

For the extended barehanded combo every time i do it kratos does the r1 of the axe instead of the barehanded attack do i need to do it faster or slower?

Do you mean the blades don’t do the animation? Make sure to be pressing Left D-pad + Triangle R1 + Right D-Pad simultaneously. Meaning you should be pressing them one after another, at a similar rate. You are combining weapons by buffering the D-Pad inputs during the attacks / weapon switching
For pride of the frost? If you do a kick, R2 was pressed too early. Heavy attack is R2 too late. There is a sound cue when the axe slides into Kratos’ palm, that’s when you press R2. It’s like a clicking noise

I love that this video exists. However, this is the reason why I passed this game once, then never played it again. I'm just not emotionally ready to do a masters degree to get the most out of the game. I'll leave the frame canceling to the pros. A bit of a downer that you have to learn most of these techniques to get the most out of the game.
@@destinyserrano2409 you really don’t have to learn any of these moves to have fun with the game. There are plenty of people I know that have fun with the game and either do no cancel techs or do only a few. This is a small % of the community. These are all mostly unintentional techniques with the axe that combine different weapons. Also you don’t have to learn most of them, the video is there for you to do as you please
@@ABG_SPARTAN Still, learning all the tech is the best way to get the most out of any game. As someone who's learned the tech for another game back when I was younger, regular folk have no idea what they're missing out on.
