      Coldness quality all of the compressors of the same model vehicle are the same, there’s no colder compressor or colder Freon, now quality of lifespan is will be based on how much you are willing to pay. The cheaper the compressor the junkier the parts the faster it will brake. But we are still talking of at least 1 year lifespan

      That is because this is a HONDA… which just happens to be an IMPORT… which just happens to mean that there are absolutely NO standard sized bolts on this car and they ALL of them are… METRIC!!! DO NOT USE STANDARD SIZED TOOLS ON ANY IMPORT!!! ALWAYS USE METRIC!!! I understand that some metric measurements are the exact equivalent of some standard measurements or “close enough” that they will work but in high torque situations it is most certainly best to use the right sized tool for the job!!!

      I am sorry that I am answering your question 2 months after you posted it. However, I am just watching this video for the very first time today. And since no one has replied to your question, I will. Hopefully it will still help you, or someone else watching in the future. That is, unless you have already figured it out. But either way, you are correct in your assumption. The answer to your question is… YES. “ZH” called it a “sprayer”. However, what he is referring to is actually called the recharge hose. It is the blue hose (usually it is a blue hose) that has a fill gauge attached to it. The hose also has a squeeze handle and a trigger, as well as a threaded connection where you screw the can of freon (R-134A refrigerant) on to. He is saying to just hook the recharge hose up to the LOW side port and then, WITHOUT a can of refrigerant on the hose, squeeze the trigger, thereby releasing the refrigerant from your system. This method is frowned upon but like he said, it will work. However, it does NOT remove all of the PAG oil though. And the oil that gets left behind could very well be contaminated. Contaminants in the system with your new compressor could damage your new compressor as well as the system itself. That is why it is important to get the system vacuumed and the oil and refrigerant removed properly. Good luck and I hope this helps!!!

    I replaced the clutch, coil and pulley assembly on my 2007 Honda Accord V6 SE about 2 weeks ago. Fortunately after watching several videos including this one, I did not have to remove the alternator or the compressor to change clutch assembly nor did I use a puller or the "special clutch tool" (which I guess worked for those who bought it) and has been suggested by many. It turned out my coil was bad, no continuity (ohms=0). I simply bought a clutch kit off of Ebay specifically for the original compressor assembly and a few tools I didn't have including set of feeler gauges and some 7 inch snap ring pliers. AC has been pumping cold since. If you need some help with those items or for how I completed this job feel free to contact me.

    How do I tell if thats broken

    • @GarageBoys
      @GarageBoys  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you already removed it, you would use 2 fingers to cover the holes where the pipes go and with your other hand you would turn the the clutch of the compressor (not the pulley) and you will hear and feel the pressure in the holes of air coming in and out. If the compressor is still in the the car, it’s a bit tricky, because it can be many things it turning it on like a fuse or the lack of A/C. But usually if the clutch is a red brick color then that means it’s bad because it’s already graining and all the dust stains the compressor.
