Reproof ( waterproof) by washing with proofing agent but watch the collar which is soft material. I have xxl lightweight version without hood and the older heavyweight version ( with hood) which is for extreme weather. Excellent kit.
I bought a new lightweight (no hood) camouflage version and it's superb. The two upper sleeve pockets are good for my keys and wallet, but not my phone.
Really good choice. Totally agree. Despite not having a hood, I think the lightweight is a more practical choice. Just as waterproof and it packs down smaller. Of the two, I much prefer the lightweight (no hood).
