  • This is the official 1992 Honda Europa ST1100 Pan European Swiss tour video. I could not find this video anywhere on the internet, but I knew there was an old VHS copy to be discovered somewhere in my late fathers attic. I found it and had it digitised to share with anyone interested. I rode this tour with my late father 30 years ago and we can be spotted in various shots throughout. Many dear memories, riding a legendary machine together. Now I ride my 1992 ST1100, exactly the same as my fathers machine back in the day, alone. It still runs like it‘s brandnew.

You must be Dutch, like me. After a very long time without a motorcycle I re-entered motorcycling early this year. On a very early (1990) Pan. I have liked the looks of the Pan for many, many years. It was a bit of a steep learning curve... By now I feel comfortable on my Pan who has been joined by a 4th gen VFR (RC36) and a also very early R1100 RS. The Pan is used the most. Most days for commuting. I really like it. It's a bike you can ride in a lazy manner and that suits me well. Very nice video and your personal story around is, I find, quite special. Thank you.

Nice to see the heydays of the st1100. Cosy nineties atmosphere all over. I am now in my fortees and riding a '96 with 120k on the counter and dreaming of riding the beautiful Alps❤

I have 2 and several previously too which I sold and then regretted. Amazing bike, even today some 35 years (!) since they were launched, they are still excellent useable machines. This video is amazing, a bygone era and looked good fun. Wonder how many of the bikes (and people...) are still around 😮

Amazing how many ST1100's must have been made and to see loads of them in one place is unreal. I wonder how many of those in this video are still on the road? I've got an expolice 2000 St1100 and an expolice 2004 ST1300. Haven't rode my 1100 for a couple of years as I stripped it down and have refurbished a lot of it but from what I remember I think the 11 is the better bike but the 13 is still a brilliant bike and I have no plans on selling either of them.

I'm planing to buy same silver colour as in this video pretty cheap 1990 with low mileage here in Switzerland. I worked on this as I had couple of years ago 1991. If there is no oil dripping from that alternator which is closed not like from 1996 I'm gonna go for this bike without AbS. Good is you can travel with this bike around the World and it just does not want to stop...😂

Take a peak at mine channel I did Countersteer video...ST1100 can be driven like a bicycle if in a right hands. Not like some said that it is not that agile as ST1300. Yes it needs a little bit of work but can make fun a lot if you know how to drive it.

One of Honda's great bikes. Wonderful engine. I get 50 mpg without much effort. Mile eater in comfort with adequate power and brakes. Handles well also. Rust underneath is a problem. Also you need to bypass the the starter relay as it can burn out due to excess current.

Amazing video ... folks/couples like you see in this video nowadays buy a luxery camper to explore the world...
And some of the couples really took themselves to seriously incl. matching protective gear outfits ... Midlife crisis bike (tour) to the rescue. :P
Well not me and my 2000 gen.2 ABS .. we are outcast. ;-)
