Jonathan Palmer my husband is a big guy so when they do that to us he just walks right in the middle and stops. One guy yelled at him so he said "you guys just stopped in the middle, so I thought that was what we were supposed to be doing..." thankfully they all looked around and moved, but my husband gets weird looks from all the "stop and stands" he barrels through (it happens way more times than it needs to).
I despise this especially when it's in an area with heavy traffic like the areas going from one land to another at MK. Then they get offended when you push past them to get by like you were supposed to stand there and wait for them to decide when they were going to keep going.
So agree our last holiday was filled with people that would stand in front of 5'2 me and then place a child on there shoulders to create a wall. Disrespectful.
Some more to add to that list: -the family of not so nice people on electric scooters -obnoxious school groups -people with a 4 child stroller forcing themselves on a crowded bus or monorail - the big group of people standing in the middle of a crowded place for no apparent reason
to add to your electric scooter people, how 'bout the ones that are in the magic kingdom, at park closing, and trying to get down main street beeping that damn horn!
Robert Kelly I was at WDW late May into the first week of June and there was a guy maybe in his 40's on a scooter and he went out of his way to go through a small group of people and he honked that dumb horn until he either ran into one of them or they moved.
katie mccarthy completely agree about the school groups. I went last year during march with my family and we stayed at the Caribbean and not only were there the obnoxious school groups but there were also a bunch of baseball teams staying at our resort for the sports camps. Like we'd go to the food court and couldn't find a place to sit cause they would have two people reserving a huge table that in the end no one would come to sit at and they would dump their shit everywhere. And one night we walked past the main pool to go refill our cups and there was at least a dozen of them all crowded into the small hot tub being obnoxious.
I would add the parents who yell at their little children at midnight because the kids are crying or cranky. It's past their bedtime! They're exhausted! How is yelling at them going to help?
OML some parents just bring their kids to disney with the intention of screaming at them every five seconds for very small infractions. I remember going as a kid and my mom would do the same exact thing to me. She'd yell at me if I was thirsty, she'd scream if my brother wanted to spend some of his money on a toy. It was pretty miserable. It shaped me and how I take my kids to disney. Kids have needs just like everyone else.
I have seen some of the worst parenting in the world while in WDW. One time in particular a woman slapped her child across the face HARD with an open palm because the child was leaning forward in their stroller because they were excited to see something. I don't care if it was the eighth time that kid had done that, it was NOT OKAY to slap them across the face for it! When I see things like that it really makes me wonder what the hell these people do to their poor kids behind closed doors if they're okay with doing THAT to them in public.
Some people are kinda stupid...Disneyland was built for them! From my perspective, they are the rulers there. If the parents decided to spend thousands of dollars on this vacation, it's their fault, not the kids fault.
Good point. I think parents should think twice about bringing very young children to the parks. It's hot, and there's going to be a lot of walking and waiting in line. The kids are going to be hungry and thirsty and tired, and too young to appreciate many of the attractions. My advice would be to wait until they're older and better able to cope. Barring that, parents need to understand that a small child's experience at the park is much different than an adult's.
As a former cast member, I have STORIES y'all. I worked quick service, so I've had lots of experience with line jumpers. They were the worst and it would be I who got in trouble if guests were being rude. I had one guy basically intimidate me into letting him cut the line. It was ridiculous. Lots of guests really do take advantage of CM's and Disney's generous hospitality and can be so utterly selfish. 90% of guests are lovely people. It's that 10% that ruin it for everyone :/ great video!
Making my list are the folks who stand immediately behind you that act like the line will move faster if they continuously bump into you, step on your heels or hover just behind you. They constantly invade your personal space for the entire duration of the line. This is especially annoying if it's a really hot day and you now have somebody behind you radiating their body heat onto you. Chill the F out and go with the flow!
RIGHT!?!?! I wear my backpack, so if they’re standing on my heels I simply lean back and let them take my weight. One woman’s kid got her hair caught in my zipper and I pulled away (since the line was moving) and the kid screamed. Mom gave me a dirty look (I was in front of her wtf) and I just stepped forward anyway. I guess her kid learned a lesson. I simply pulled the loose strands out of my zipper and smiled.
Oh hell yeah and if you leave a little gap they try and side step you ... happened in line for Pirates our last trip... next thing I know my party was side by side with another!
Cristen Post my high school band went to Disney during our Spring Break, and I rode the Pirates of the Caribbean with a couple of friends, and the group we were a part of, (which was most of the trumpet section). Once we started the ride, they just yelled the entire time, (there were about 15 of us). There were some people who weren't a part of our group behind us, and I remember turning around and apologizing to them about what was going on.
Line breakers!! We over heard a lady and her husband planning out which lines they were going to break in as we stood in frozen ride. They had sent their 30+ year old son RUN to frozen at rope drop. He was in line almost at the front. They called him on the phone and said "we are coming up there" I turned around and said he can come back here. They thought I was going to let Mom,Dad,wife, brother, sister in law and all the kids walk by us to get to him. NOPE 👎
David Thacker I'm glad it worked out for you! I hate when someone is doing something so obviously wrong and you call them out on it and they just start a fight with you
How did this not make the list?? Bus line cutters!!! When you are at the resort bus stops and you are sitting/standing waiting. As the bus pulls up the group just arriving goes right to the door!! This happens ALL THE TIME! Please install rope guides!!
I saw bus line cutters this morning. This is my first week ever at DW and we were all sitting waiting for the bus just after 8:00AM to get to the park when it opens. Immediately a group knows that the bus lets out from both doors but only loads from the front door then stands where the front door of the bus will stop so they'll get on first. I'm in PO riverside and there's four stops and I'm at the last south stop and the bus will be loaded before it gets to us. As soon as I saw the bus cutter I went back to my room and grabbed the rental key and drove myself to MK. I think I still beat them there.
What about the cheerleaders who start screaming and chanting in the middle of the line. I one time had to go through the entire haunted mansion queue with a large group of girls singing despacito at the top of their lungs. It was absolute torture.
Extreme PDA couples I was in line for test track the other day and this couple in front of me were literally on top of each other for the entire 45 minute wait
Once at the Hall Of Presidents, there was a woman's child who saw a woman in an electric scooter, and the child asked why she needed the scooter. The child's mother said that it is for fat people who are lazy. Needless to say, that was the worst person I have ever seen at Disney.
This stroller situation happened to my a Father in law three times on our day at the Magic Kingdom, it was like he had a target on his back. 😠 so RUDE!
The family standing in front of you at the last minute for a parade or fireworks thing is extra annoying when you're short and have been waiting awhile for that reason so you can have a spot where you can see and then the ppl who go in front of you are super tall and suddenly you can't see anything AND they don't even have kids with them...
The flashers are my biggest pet peeve. My husband is epileptic and that will cause him to have a seizure. We've learned for him to wear his sunglasses on even dark rides just in case someone does this!
Teresa Rooney, I agree completely. I also have epilepsy and the flashing lights are the worst. I have to avoid some attractions or prepare for the strobe effects by covering my eyes. Sadly people don't understand that they could be endangering people.
Veronica Lloyd I too am short and have the same issues as you with people coming at the last minute, and it's worse when they put kids on their shoulders 😡I feel if you put kids on shoulders then you should go to the sides where no one is behind you
YES!!!! this happened to me on my Honeymoon with the Mainstreet Electrical Parade. I'm very short and I had a good spot and an entire family jumped into front of me 10 minutes into the parade and even passed a toddler over my head. Unbelievable.
just yesterday in the magic kingdom i saw a mom with a stroller bash in to a very visibly pregnant woman. they proceeded to get in a verbal fight, because the pregnant woman was obviously hurt but the stroller mom was pissed off because she had apparently said "excuse me" before and just wasn't heard. pretty sure things would've gotten physical if a cast member hadn't intervened lmao
I love, love, love, this topic. Can we add the "It's a vacation not a compensation" family? That family that wants to be compensated for any and every inconvenience they incur
Thank you for talking about the line cutters!! I'm a single mom of 2 little girls and even grown men have cut us in line with no problem. If your entire group can't get in line at the same time, wait at the entrance for them!
Lynette, parents are just as bad. I've seen a father with two kids cut in front of me at one ride. The selfish guy acted like I wasn't even there. I was glad they split his family up because of the size of the "cars". Karma! What's sad is parents like this will probably tell their kids that manners don't apply in theme parks and it's "ok" to shove people aside or cut in line.
During M.S. E.L.P.: "Sir, please climb down and out of the tree" "Yeah, but..." "Sir, please climb down and mind the railing, around the planter, that's 3' tall, in the dark, and slippery 'cos it just rained" "Yeah, but..."
The people who stand on one side of a narrow passageway like a bridge to take a picture of their friends/family standing on the opposite side and leaving no room for anyone to pass by, especially when they decide to to a full-fledged photo shoot and get into a hissy fit if you dare walk in front of the camera and block their view for a second.
Citizen of Corona I just pass through and keep walking. Even if they're yelling. Just walk a little faster to avoid hands. lol Just keep swimming. Aaand swim a little faster lol
Can we add "parents who don't control their children, especially in long attraction lines"? I get it, kids get excited but they should not be bumping into or touching someone they don't know just because they're bouncing off the walls. It's not hard to bring an iPad that kids can play while you wait or just get FastPasses.
ShelfyAndCo I bring my autistic son through the line to teach him to wait. He's probably touched or annoyed a few people in the process. I apologize for any problems I see but sometimes a child's exterior appearance does not necessarily represent the disabilities they have. My son isn't misbehaving, he has autism.
See that is completely okay. In those situations we need to all be a bit more patient and understanding. This just stems from one experience I had were the parents of three children behind my mother and I in line were egging the kids on to keep touching and bumping into us, because my mother asked them to stop.
I had an autistic kid try to yank my prosthetic limb off, which hurts quite a hole lot. Parent's put it to his condition, which is sad, but you still have to control your damned kids. I had to leave the park because he broke a portion of the leg and I couldn't properly walk without a jolt of pain.
AppleSaurus yeah the parents were most likely lying. I'm autistic (stage one which is high functioning,) but I can still control myself. It only makes it harder for me to express emotions verbally. Unless the kid was clearly a higher stage, it was clearly just the kid being a massive prick.
Absolutely agree with every one of those. You summed it up with "selfish" and "listen"! The majority of park goers manage to follow rules & directions, not to mention common courtesy, but some people just don't get it (and they probably have the same attitude wherever they are - usually on the road)!
Andrew Bowman "PLEASE STAY IN YOUR FUCKING SEATS, I REPEAT PLEASE STAY IN YOUR SEATS THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY!!!!" *guy stands up again for the 10th time* *ride stops for the 10th time* "PLEASE STAY IN YOUR SEATS!!!" I have seen videos about that and its annoying as hell.
Stupid and dangerous...many people die or get hurt in theme parks (including Disney) because people can't just keep sitting during a ride. Some people have panick attacks (and I feel sorry for them), but others...are just the embodiment of pure idiocy!
The people with the strollers do it intentionally. It’s not an accident. As for the line cutters, I had one family who used their child as the pawn. It was in the line for Winnie the Pooh, so it was pretty easy for them because the kid was playing with all of the gadgets and everything. But when the kid was wandering around playing, he just went up further in the line and then the family was just like “oh hey, I guess we’re up here now” and just cut in the line where the kid ended up. Like… that’s not how a line works AT ALL.
kristenx0 Totally agree!! It's nice that they have the interactive line experience for some of the rides, but I also hate when the line moves and people stand there and hold the line up to play with all the gadgets.
Another honorable mention can be (the slow pokes) the group of people who walk incredibly slow at the parks and basically block the entire sidewalk so you can’t pass them.
Honorable mention: the people who pretend they can't speak English so they can keep doing douche-y things when you literally just heard them speaking English to someone else
I had a lady in front of me on Pirates turn on her flash light feature of her phone on the whole ride like she was scared of the dark, but had to go on a dark ride. It was one of the worst experiences I've had on that ride. I agree with all of your points. I think we all have been ran over by a stroller at one point in the park, and never apologized to.
Josh Lee There is a thing called a camera that you can bring thats way better than most handheld cameras on phones and can zoom in farther. and last time I went to Disney world was in 2007 I was 9 or 10 and seen some of these people but didn't see any steam stroller people at least.
I remember when my family used to go around Christmas and we were constantly hit by strollers. And I agree with Pete, it seems like the kids are always way to old to be in strollers. I understand it's difficult to not hit people as I've had to push my grandmother in a wheelchair, but we managed to never hit anyone.
Thank you for doing this. We went to disney world for our senior trip in high school. The teachers told us in the airport, "There are familes and other people who saved to come here. Be respectful and don't be an ass." You hit the nail on the head when you say its selfish behavior that people line cut,go to the middle of the line and all those other rude things. The line cutters part brought back a memory from busch gardens in williamsburg when a family tried to cut in front of us
RE: Flash photography. I was on Mystic Manor at HKDL, and during a moment where the ride goes dark for an effect, someone's phone camera light was on, completely ruined it
Since many parents now to do nothing to control their child, it absolutely can affect your experience of watching a parade when a hyperactive or apparently demonically possessed child is in front of you and won't stand still. If I have invested an hour of my day standing in place on the parade route before the parade, which I do, I'm not the one the parents should try to impose on. There are plenty of places along the route where there are throngs of kids already at the front, and the parents can add theirs to that mix.
- GROUPS: Brazilian Tour groups, I believe, are trained to chant and cut in every line they are in. School groups who cannot shut up for two seconds on any ride to the point of being unable to hear the narration. The family of 16 who can't understand why, if grandma is in a wheelchair, they can't all use the accessible entrance at the same time. - Anyone who abuses verbally or physically any CM. Just because you're having a crappy day, it is not their fault. "A lack of planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on mine" - Anyone who chooses to block wheelchair accessible ramps, accessible stalls, and elevators when they are perfectly able to use the standard counterparts. -People who litter. Seriously. Just because there are CMs to clean doesn't mean the world is your trash dump.
Yes!!!! I thought I was the only one to mention these Brazilian tour groups. They literally try to cut in EVERY line, then have like 50 people meet 2 when it's time to get on the ride, they are extremely rude and obnoxious, and always try to play the I don't speak English game when confronted. They literally try to take over the park!
Anyone who is rude to a cast member for ANY reason. If you have an issue with something, calmly take it to guest relations, and see if anything can be done. If nothing can be done, realize you're at the happiest place on earth, build a bridge, and get the fuck over it.
True Crimers YES! I absolutely adore CMs and hate it when I see guests being entitled assholes to them for no reason. Every time I see that I always make it a point to be super nice to them after that, especially at times like waiting in line to pay for merch. I'll tell them straight up "Wow that person was an ass! You didn't deserve that, don't let it get you down." and then I'll chat with them while they ring me up to hopefully erase the bad experience from a few moments prior. It's the damndest thing, but CMs will bend over backwards for you if you're simply nice and patient toward them and treat them like what they are: a normal person who is on the clock at their job and has a life outside of Disney. I enjoy talking to CMs, too, (if they're not busy of course) because they're some of the nicest people in the world. And when they tell me to have a nice day, I always say "You, too, once you can clock out!" and it never fails to make them sincerely smile, laugh, and say "Thank you!!" just because I acknowledged that they have a life of their own.
Love this list! My husband and I were just talking about this! Annoying is not even the word for these people. I am an annual pass holder and I constantly have to pack my patience. Glad I am not the only person feeling this way :)
My favorites are the young men or teenage boys that INSIST that they sit down on the monorail or resort bus making an elderly person, or a mother with a child have to stand. They have no clue what manners are anymore, just that they can sit down and screw around on their phones.
Stephen Marcus I go with what my aunt always does kids don't need seats they can sit on their parents laps. No the elderly they get priority as well as the handicapped
We tend to remember the jerks, but last time I was at Disney I saw a boy, about ten years old or so, stand up and politely offer his seat to an elderly woman. My thought was, "what a nice kid." They're not all bad.
Stephen Marcus I had to ride the bus a few years ago and it disgusts me how people lack that common courtesy. I actually heard a lady complain when a man in a wheel chair took up too much room in the front and she had to stand...
I need to use a ECV and I try my hardest to be considerate and cautious. But people have to realize I can't always stop on a dime, so don't walk along in front of me and then make a sudden stop. EEK.
Trust me, I wish I could walk all day but I can’t. I’m going to do the very best that I can but if someone steps in front of me I can’t always stop in time to miss them.
The people who look at me in a wheelchair. I have many medical px's and am not able to walk Even a block without ,so try walking in my shoes for just a day
Hong Kong was pretty bad too. Kid muscled right up to the front of the line (no adult present) and I tapped him on the shoulder and pointed at him and then back to the end of the line. I don’t care I don’t speak his language. I got my point across.
David Cross one time i was in line for Crush Coaster in Paris and this one guy was making flash pictures. When the Cast Members asked to stop, he made a picture of them.
I stayed in line while my five year old son decided to have an epic meltdown with the screaming/sobbing/tears/his legs going boneless. It was a debate on keeping him in line to the annoyance of everyone standing close to him...or removing him to a quieter place until he could get control of his emotions. His dad took him out of line but stayed within eyesight in a quieter place until my boy regained composure. So...once he calmed down...we were able to continue on for the 45 minute wait at that point. Kudos to the people around us who were understanding and let him and my husband return to line and didn't make a stressful/awkward/painful/frustrating moment worse. I am most grateful. I hope I am not that type of bad guest.
How about people that just feel the need to film the whole ride or the entire firework show? Come on, just enjoy the experience and then go home and watch the same thing on youtube with way better quality than what you were going to get. And I'd bet 9 out of 10 don't ever go back and watch what they recorded. Stop blocking the view with your phone.
3 years at MK Guest Relations here.... Y'all. Nailed. It. You nailed it like a stroller hitting ankles. I laughed and laughed and nodded my head in absolute, first-hand (or ankle?) experience and agreement.
Ugh I hate the flashers, especially on Pirates! I'm a photographer and I just want to yell at these people the whole ride. Like seriously! Learn your camera! Change the settings! You don't need flash for a good photo!
The funny thing is they probably overexposed their picture because some digital cameras are programmed to overcompensate for the darkness. Setting the flash will probably make it look "bleached out" a bit.
My mom uses a motorized scooter to get around loner distances, and when she went to Disneyland back in 2015, she encountered a lot of people who would run out in front of her, or would cut her of and glare at her like it was her fault. Most of these people were dads with strollers! It's always saddening when people don't understand that people with physical disabilities are just trying to enjoy their experience as well, and they'd happily give up their disability to have a "normal" experience.
It is beyond selfish: these rude guest are self-entitled. However, I believe you omitted one other "bad guest" : the guest that cannot shut up. They talk during "Impressions of France": "Uncle Jack visited Paris," or "I have always wanted to take a balloon ride." A complete dialogue while you are trying to enjoy the music, scenery and narration. Or on the Jungle Cruise, as the skipper is talking, the parent that is verbally discussing everything with their child: "yes, that's an elephant. Ooo, look at the lion. The hippos are wiggling their ears...." Why not enjoy the tide without verbalizing everything??? Finally, in the DL Haunted Mansion, everyone knows the spiel in the stretching portrait room, so they all recite it out loud, then the entire room screams at the end. For some small children, the screaming is scary. And some of us want to hear the ghost host. I really want to enjoy the entire attraction: sight and sound, without constant rude guest input. Just my two cents.
I went to disney world about two years ago and was walking in magic kingdom when some old woman tried straight up hitting me with her mobility scooter behind me and then just glared at me when i looked back at her like it was my fault. it was one of the most surreal and infuriating moments probably in my entire life.
One time I had been sitting waiting for a parade. I had been sitting for at least an hour. I was sitting so not blocking anyone. A stroller came up from behind and smushed into my back. And the parents totally started complaining about me that I was ruining their kids parade time. It made me a little upset and scared. I didn't mind the kids in front of me but the parents wanted my spot also. But a cast member ended up having them move because they couldn't all fit in the taped off area. It was bad a taller guy standing beside us started to stand behind us because of the crazy stroller people. My friend and I ended up scooting down so his wife could squeeze in. We were all squished but it was nice meeting new people.
There's no way I could agree more with all of these choices. I have to take my motorized scooter into the parks. I'm very, very mindful to watch out for others. But it's like you become invisible when you're on a scooter. They dart right out in front of you. Yes, there are a FEW who don't know how to drive the scooter properly. But the majority are very courteous and watch out for others. Some others I'd mention: People who treat their kids, other family members, and cast members like crap, yelling at them........And the people who refuse to get up at the theaters, I step on their toes too, Pete ; ) I really do! Great episode, guys!
I was just at the Animal Kingdom four days ago in the standby line at the Na'vi River Journey and these two girls had someone holding a spot for them way at the front of the line, so they rudely pushed their way through everyone saying "excuse me", even giving my pregnant wife a shove. I'm not sure how they get away with that.
Probably one of the funniest things is seeing Steve put that filter up with "bad people!" I work for comedians and constantly have/get to deal with their fans so I'm SUPER familiar with that filter. Nice save! Great video. Love you guys. Even the dimly lit ones in the back. :)
Ugh... I had an unfortunate experience with a "flasher". We had gotten in to a preview of the Little Mermaid ride and a lady 2 shells up from us went camera happy with a flash. So every slight turn, she was literally facing us and blinding us with her flash.
The "Line Cutters" is the worst type of scum and villainy! I stopped going to Great Adventure in NJ (an hour from my house) years ago after a group of hoodlum teenagers got into a literal knife fight in line for the roller coaster because a group of twelve cut in line right at the front to join their friends. It was a live action West Side Story!!
when I was younger, during parades, I used to sit on the floor with kids my age and the parents would stand behind us. now we get there early and one of us sits and puts our bags down so we have our seats saved while the other 2 would go get snacks etc
When I come across a "Row Hog" who stops and sits in the middle instead of moving all the way down, I make an effort to fart in his/her face as I climb over them.
I was walking in the world showcase on a VERY slow day, and this woman came stomping behind me with a stroller and ran right into my ankle and proceeded to roll over my toes as well. I was a bloody mess and she told me it was my fault when the whole pathway was open. Luckily I was near the first aid station. Stroller people can be the worst!!
Just going to put this out there that my dad is probably the worst person at Disney. On the haunted mansion, we broke down for like 15 mins or so and he thought it was a good idea to get out of the damn buggy and walk over to my mum and sisters buggy in front of us and try to scare them... 😠. Then (this is the one I feel so bad about) we were on It's a Small World and he started singing (very loudly) an incredibly explicit version of the song WHILE THERE WERE OTHER FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN on the boat with us.
Er, uh, wow... Did he drink something bad before going? I know people who turn into a TOTALLY different person when drunk! You should meet my friend from Ecuador. When he's stone cold drunk, he'll talk loudly about his time as a teen chasing the hot girl next door!
Worse than the "steam strollers" are the ones on scooters who seem to assume that having mobility issues gives them the green light to mow people down who get in their way. My wife was struck in the ankles from behind by a woman on a scooter on busy day at the Magic Kingdom. After a quick "sorry" the woman was off again, barreling through the crowd at top speed.
I hate when the people in front of me in line decide to have a photo shoot while in line and hold everyone up! & There are so many nice scenic areas to take photos that are not in the middle of a 90 minute line in 90 degree weather. -_-
I dealt with this one a lot today at Magic Kingdom, not sure if it happens to a lot of people, but the families who just randomly stop in the middle of doorways and block everyone from coming in or out. Very frustrating
I hate when you try to meet a character and the family in front of you takes way too long and demands a ton of attention, like there are other people waiting buddy!
I got to my parade spot once, almost an hour early, and 10 min to go, this man comes up and puts his kids on the ground ON my feet. he then proceeded to eat an ice cream OVER my head. I am about 5'1". This guy was at least 6'5". I should point out, the opposite side of the street was virtually empty.
The people that annoyed me most on my last trip to Disney (and well, frankly, in the "real world" as well) are the folks that can't spend a few minutes without playing with their phone. Two best examples: 1) There was a man in the Fantasmic amphitheater directly in front of us that was watching TH-cam videos with earbuds in during the show. First and foremost, that light and motion of video right in front you is distracting when you're trying to watch something in a dark environment, but I just kept thinking, "you paid good money for all of this magic, and you can't even enjoy what's going on around you. Also saw a man and woman together that were playing Candy Crush on their phones during the Broadway show during Epcot's International Arts Festival. 2) Standing in line for Test Track, there was a group of about 6 teenagers in front of us that were all playing on their phones and very unaware of the world around them. To the point where every time the line began to move, everyone behind them had to repeatedly tell them that they could start moving before they would. I finally after about a half hour of this "game", I finally said to the kids, "hey, I don't know if you know it or not, but they have a new feature to the IPhone. If you look just an inch about of the screen, you can see Disney World."
Five years ago my daughter and I were leaving MK late in the huge slow crowd after the fireworks. A young mother behind me pushing a stroller (maybe 20?) was with her mother, and the 20 year old not only kept hitting my ankles, but she was loudly yelling "BEEP BEEP......BEEP BEEP!" Unbelievable. After three times of this, I turned around and told her to please stop hitting my legs with her stroller. She said "Move faster!" With the throngs in front, I'm not at all sure how anyone could have. At least her mother spoke with her.
0:50 I don't understand why I see people taking flash pictures of MSEP (or back in the day - SpectroMagic), I also see this with fireworks. Why do people do it? Think about it, you're basically taking a flash picture of a light bulb.... *Mic drop* So, of course, your pictures turn out horrible!
Great video! Perhaps some have already mentioned these, but here are my pet peeves: 1. People who come to dead stop in the middle of the flow of traffic to work on logistics or just to chat. If you need time to talk or figure things out, duck somewhere to the side out of the way, figure your situation out and then join the flow of foot traffic. 2. People who talk over the commentary on rides or feel the need to demonstrate that they know all the words to the Haunted Mansion spiel. Lots of creativity went into making these attractions and it would be nice to hear them!
Can I just say, infants. Like literal babies! Why would you bring an infant child to Disneyland? I mean it's a family park but still, what are they going to remember? Wouldn't it be better if maybe you wait till they grow up a little and realize what Disneyland is? And it's more work, like crying, changing, strollers, who's going to go on rides? It's just annoying and useless. When your kids become older and start begging you to go to Disneyland, what's better? "Sorry we can't go, it's too much money, but I did take you once when you were a baby!" Or "Hey I planned a trip to Disneyland in a few weeks because I saved up enough!!! Over the last few years!!"
My daughter sadly had her foot ran over by a scooter The lady just shook her head and didn't apologize my daughter was like 11 and could not get out of the ladies way in time.
I agree with all of them and wish to add one more, couples in front of you in the queue whose antics are more suited to be performed in the bedroom. I also have an autistic daughter who is now an adult and she gets very disturbed about this and we have had to move from the area. Queues are not the place to express your sexuality of any persuasion.
I'm a Disneyland visitor & I went a month ago into the Indiana Jones ride & this lady had her phone up for texting & had her phone out very bright during the ride, it annoyed me so much, because 1) The phone brightness ruined a good ride experience >.> & 2) Why is she texting during a ride??? Especially at one that movies A LOT!!!!! It was ridiculous....
I would have absolutely NO problem with Disney installing signal blockers so people can't text when on the rides. Unfortunately, most of them are also going to snap pictures with the flash on so they'll still find a way to ruin it.
Honorable mention, the HUGE quinceñera groups who will scream, hoot, holler, not follow basic traffic from the crowd, and generally acting like they own the park
Great edition, folks! However... you were a bit too kind. lol. Add the "Rafiki" dad who raises his kid up on his shoulders for the fireworks not caring that everyone wth ink 10 rows deep now have to stare at the back of this kid throughout the whole show! Only to then have the kid take his glowing lite-up lightsaber or whatever light up toy and raise it to the heavens for the duration of the show. How do these parents ever think that they are not blocking/ruining the experience for others is beyond me.
Never seen a flasher at Disney but I'll never forgot the time a group of drunk adults were walking so slow in a haunted house that I was stuck right behind them. They thought something was hilarious and took flash pictures of things they thought was funny because it scared them. As soon as we walked out, there was police waiting for them
As someone who needs a scooter, I hate the people who will literally walk right at me and make me get out of their way when I'm going straight and to the far right or left or just aren't looking where they are going. If I wasn't very observant and constantly keeping track of people, I would have run over so many people. We aren't hard to see folks. Also hate families that have to walk shoulder to shoulder and take up an entire road and you just can't past them. Even when I'm driving towards them.
It happens everywhere. I had to use one when going to malls for about three months and I can't tell you how many times I almost hit people because of what you said.
I just hit them at this point and go wow omg I'm so sorry. I'm not sorry. Stop running in front of scooters. They typically move faster than you. I will flip the thing to avoid kids, but if you are an adult and decide to go tearing out in front of me you're doing it with your life on the line because I will turn this thing up to bunny I swear.
I hate when people take forever when standing in a very long line for a character photo. This family thought it was their sons personal photo shoot, while the rest of us were like "take the damn picture and move on!!".
I would choose PETE!! Come on, anyone who would step on people's feet during theater shows based upon the "Row Hog" commentary, is truly awesome! 😎 Oops, I am from NYC, so I understand PETE SPEAK really well!! I see this misbehavior quite often!! 😂🤣😂🤣 I adore Pete!! Ryno is a close second, for me, though!😎
TRACEE MILLARD I love them all, if I only had to pick one it would be Craig though. I'm British and he has that sarcastic cynical drone that us Brits relate to. There's someone suitable for everyone!
Former cast member here (WDW, MK Attractions, Tomorrowland, Stitch Side), adding to your "Steam Strollers": same thing applies to the ECVs. There was an incident when I worked there where I was deliberately targeted by a morbidly obese woman in an ECV. Long story short, I told her she and her friend (also in an ECV) couldn't take them up the ramp of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, and even after an explanation AND having my supervisor come out to tell them the same thing, even after giving them No Strings, she proceeded to look at me directly then run over my foot. Remember, that's the full weight of her AND the ECV. The supervisor didn't notice, and I had to smile through it til they were gone, after which I told her what happened. She held my position while I went backstage to check on my foot. Amazingly, nothing was broken, but it was very badly bruised. On that note, guests who are rude, aggressive, or outright violent towards cast members (especially female cast members) are awful. Even during my short four and a half month internship, I had to summon security twice on account of a guest trying to browbeat me to get his way (and yes, both times it was a man), probably figuring he could get away with it because I'm scarcely over five feet tall and female. Fortunately, on other occasions, I've had OTHER GUESTS jump in on my behalf, which was so nice and welcomed.
What about the best and worse queue lines? I actually had two families get into a fight during the Peter Pan queue - which in my opinion is one of the best. One family cut in front of the other while they were playing in the shadows. Huge scene!
Whenever I am holding a place in line for my family ( usually one parent takes all the children to the bathroom while the other one stands in line) I always tell the people behind me that there are other people coming just so that it won't be a surprise because I find it really annoying when people do that as well
I have really had a rough time with "Flashers" on my last few trips -- in Nemo in Epcot, in Pirates, and in the Little Mermaid. And each time it wasn't "one" picture, it was like flash-flash-flash-flash-flash. I DID notice it doesn't seem to happen on rides where there is a prominent announcement, as with the Ghost Host on the Haunted Mansion. Maybe they just need to add that spiel to EVERY single ride?
My family got the worst of the steaming strollers last year. We were leaving animal kingdom on our first day and a stroller ran into my mom and she fell face first. Split her lip wide open, scraped up her leg. Luckily we were right by first aid. The people did stop to try to help us, but it was scary! She could've gotten hurt a lot worse than she did.
My husband and I were waiting for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train back in October 2015 (our honeymoon), and we constantly had kids going back and forth between their parents behind us and the interactive parts of the queue. One of the mums even went to go get her child, but a few minutes later, that child was running back down the line. We also had people pass us when we got to the interactive bits. It didn't put us back too far, but my husband was not pleased, to say the least. But, we got on the ride ahead of one family though as the train needed filling. So, our British-ness and obeying queue etiquette paid off. Anyone else had this problem, or similar, with the Mine Train?
Excuse me, I'm just all of a sudden going to stop in the middle of the walkway for no reason and then expect everyone behind me to walk around me.
SO ANNOYING.
I despise this especially when it's in an area with heavy traffic like the areas going from one land to another at MK. Then they get offended when you push past them to get by like you were supposed to stand there and wait for them to decide when they were going to keep going.
I as going to comment the same thing. Walking down the center of Main Street with a huge crowd of people behind them and they just STOP. ugh.
Omg yesssssss!
How about the dad who, just as a show is starting, decides to place a child on his shoulders, and create a 7 ft. tall person blocking everyone's view.
Susanna Hirano YES that's my biggest pet peeve probably bc I am short
So agree our last holiday was filled with people that would stand in front of 5'2 me and then place a child on there shoulders to create a wall. Disrespectful.
Susanna Hirano 👍 that's what i was going to say!
... and then complains on YT about that guy in front of him with the iPad.
Yeah but just imagine the wee kid that can't see the show he probably wanted to see it
Just because Disney makes your child feel like a prince or princess doesn't make you the king and queen.
Ace Yang amen to that!
Some more to add to that list:
-the family of not so nice people on electric scooters
-obnoxious school groups
-people with a 4 child stroller forcing themselves on a crowded bus or monorail
- the big group of people standing in the middle of a crowded place for no apparent reason
Erin Murray I would've lost it if I saw that lol. Those kinds of people ruin it for people who actually need it.
to add to your electric scooter people, how 'bout the ones that are in the magic kingdom, at park closing, and trying to get down main street beeping that damn horn!
And one night we walked past the main pool to go refill our cups and there was at least a dozen of them all crowded into the small hot tub being obnoxious.
agreed! if they want to complain about wdw, fine, complain. but why spend $$$$ for something you hate?! never understood those types of folks.
V White yes just go back to the hotel 🏨
It's even worse when it's some smelly old dude whose breathing heavily down the back of your neck.
Curtis M or stop in front of u
Preach
What I also really hate is the people who get really obnoxious on rides by screaming and trying to be funny.
Yes, I call them "screamers".
of course they were trumpets
one of my best friends boyfriend does that and he ruined hyperspace mountain for me
Cristen Post I totally agree with you.Is the most annoying thing.👍
Flash photography? I wouldn't. It alters the homing signal and that's not good.
This^^^
reo226 YESS DINOSAUR
Yes! Former Dinosaur cast member here!
What?? Can you explain for me? I was not a cast member
MikeyB4 it's a quote from the dinosaur ride pre show. the scientist who's briefing you for you mission says that quote about flash photography
NOPE 👎
Did they listen to you and not go to the front of the line and have him come back?!
Briet Prentice they did stay behind us until we got to him. He stood to the side and let people pass him. 👍
David Thacker I'm glad it worked out for you! I hate when someone is doing something so obviously wrong and you call them out on it and they just start a fight with you
David Thacker Congratulations on winning the Tracker giveaway yesterday!
ashleigh krebs thank you 😊
The people who dislike this video are the ones who this video is about...
Briggs yes
not sure 5 is enough...
Every time my dad gets hit by a stroller he loudly cries out in pain regardless of how hard he got hit to make the person fell bad
I have been known to yell "Strollers are not battering rams!!!"
Good tip
Lol!
That's terrible; he shouldn't have to do that. He should be able to enjoy the rides like everyone else. Some people are so inconsiderate.
"I will intentionally step on their feet"
Hahaha I love you, Pete.
just yesterday in the magic kingdom i saw a mom with a stroller bash in to a very visibly pregnant woman. they proceeded to get in a verbal fight, because the pregnant woman was obviously hurt but the stroller mom was pissed off because she had apparently said "excuse me" before and just wasn't heard. pretty sure things would've gotten physical if a cast member hadn't intervened lmao
yakeet Wow poor pregnant lady and shame the woman who hit the pregnant woman
Brazilian tour groups.
Lest we forget the hot-head who decides to YELL at castmembers who are trying to help them. Control you emotions and act like an adult!
During M.S. E.L.P.:
"Sir, please climb down and out of the tree"
"Yeah, but..."
"Sir, please climb down and mind the railing, around the planter, that's 3' tall, in the dark, and slippery 'cos it just rained"
"Yeah, but..."
+Citizen of Corona I give them one picture. After that, I start walking again. If they complain, I walk slower.
Loud people are by far my biggest pet peeve. In restaurants they are pure cancer
DoctorNuthole ditto
ShelfyAndCo that's just rude.
How about the person who gets up during "Carousel of Progress" and attempts to exit the ride AS IT IS ROTATING! Absolute worst person ever...
Andrew Bowman "PLEASE STAY IN YOUR FUCKING SEATS, I REPEAT PLEASE STAY IN YOUR SEATS THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY!!!!"
*guy stands up again for the 10th time*
*ride stops for the 10th time*
"PLEASE STAY IN YOUR SEATS!!!"
I have seen videos about that and its annoying as hell.
I've experienced it! And then everyone gets fed up and continues to try to exit.
Seriously!! like WHAT PART OF 'WE ARE SPINNING' DOESNT MAKE SENSE. Like you can ACTUALLY get squished between the walls!
Stupid and dangerous...many people die or get hurt in theme parks (including Disney) because people can't just keep sitting during a ride. Some people have panick attacks (and I feel sorry for them), but others...are just the embodiment of pure idiocy!
Yeah, they should ask about the cast member who got caught in the rotating scenes and was crushed to death.
The stroller crowd drive me crazy; some of those ridiculous strollers are the size of an average SUV.
Honorable mention: the people who pretend they can't speak English so they can keep doing douche-y things when you literally just heard them speaking English to someone else
missnataliepaige that happens? How rude.
Would awesome if you
Yes! I just commented about that, with those obnoxious Brazilian tour groups that literally cut in line for everything and try to take over the park.
Same thing happened to me. After we asked her to turn off the flash, mom said her son was afraid of the dark. WHY would you bring him on Pirates then?
I hate parents who pull the "because of my kid" card.
The parents that put their kids on their shoulders during show/parades etc are among the worst, I'm surprised it didn't make this list!!!
Exactly! If you're going to give your child a better view AT LEAST stand farther back in the crowd!
The people that take a damn iPad to a theme park and use it as a camera. Like, come the fuck on!!!
OMG! This one time this asshole during Fantasmic smack dab in front of my family has to film it with the GOD DAMN COVER DOWN. REALLY!
harrybear5543 they make those lol
For years now, I've always said to people with me "There's always one dickhead with an iPad". But in recent years, I just say it out loud now lol
Yes, yes, yes!!! 100% agreed!
I was on Mystic Manor at HKDL, and during a moment where the ride goes dark for an effect, someone's phone camera light was on, completely ruined it
I literally stopped another video because I HAD to see this right away.
SweetestHoney86 same 😂😂
SweetestHoney86 Your comment is from six days ago, but the video came out two hours ago..... ?
Anon Ymous time travel
Ahhhh! Forgot that was a thing, thanks! 😂
"A lack of planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on mine"
- Anyone who chooses to block wheelchair accessible ramps, accessible stalls, and elevators when they are perfectly able to use the standard counterparts.
I have a prosthetic limb and needed to sit down to adjust it, seats were all taken up with kids on their phones. I just needed a seat for ten seconds.
I would offer my seat to anyone...unless they felt entitled to it. If anyone ever clears their throat at me to move then they will be ignored.
I need to use a ECV and I try my hardest to be considerate and cautious. But people have to realize I can't always stop on a dime, so don't walk along in front of me and then make a sudden stop. EEK.
Pat Frank and if it’s a wheelchair that’s being pushed by someone, the same thing applies, plus it’s tough for them to get started again.
Trust me, I wish I could walk all day but I can’t. I’m going to do the very best that I can but if someone steps in front of me I can’t always stop in time to miss them.
one time I was on space mountain and someone in front of me was taking a video with the flash on the whole time.... how rude! lol
Pretty N Plus those people are the worst
Oh excuse me... was that you I was blinding?
Oh man.....Pete's in for a rude awakening when he visits Shanghai Disney later this year. Better bring some blood pressure pills, dude.
Flash photographers are the worst. Learn how to use your camera
David Cross one time i was in line for Crush Coaster in Paris and this one guy was making flash pictures. When the Cast Members asked to stop, he made a picture of them.
What a dick
@@largol33t1 Why can't they use night vision? No flash there.
Julie Ange yes
I think this is my favorite episode of DIS Unplugged.
+Steven S Yep, that definitely sounds like New Jersey.
Steven S How was El Toro, Nitro and Kingda Ka?
Who won?
when I was younger, during parades, I used to sit on the floor with kids my age and the parents would stand behind us. now we get there early and one of us sits and puts our bags down so we have our seats saved while the other 2 would go get snacks etc
I had exactly the same in Magic Kingdom, my ankle was bleeding from a stroller that bashed into me. Luckily I had plasters with me, it's unbelievable!
Riding Dinosaur with someone who is taking flash pictures every 10 seconds is the worst. I know from firsthand experience.
Join in on the fun and photobomb them....
bbkangs yup
Omg, I hate that!
Parents, your 6 kids do not get individual time with a princess. Everyone goes in at once.
I watch your vlogs all the time and this has to be one of the best!!! Everything you said is so true.
Once someone used my husband's head as a tripod to steady their camera.
Laughed so much at this podcast, loved it so much xx
The people that annoyed me most on my last trip to Disney (and well, frankly, in the "real world" as well) are the folks that can't spend a few minutes without playing with their phone.
Two best examples:
1) There was a man in the Fantasmic amphitheater directly in front of us that was watching TH-cam videos with earbuds in during the show.
Perhaps some have already mentioned these, but here are my pet peeves:
"Sorry we can't go, it's too much money, but I did take you once when you were a baby!"
Or
"Hey I planned a trip to Disneyland in a few weeks because I saved up enough!!! Over the last few years!!"
!!!!!!! Preach
My daughter sadly had her foot ran over by a scooter
The lady just shook her head and didn't apologize my daughter was like 11 and could not get out of the ladies way in time.
Joan Waymont I saw a couple like that years ago in the back row of a movie theater watching Peter Pan 2. I guess cheapquels are their kink.
People who don’t take their giant glowing Mickey ears off when on a dark ride.
However... you were a bit too kind. lol.
Add the "Rafiki" dad who raises his kid up on his shoulders for the fireworks
not caring that everyone wth ink 10 rows deep now have to stare at the back of this kid throughout
the whole show! Only to then have the kid take his glowing lite-up lightsaber or whatever light up toy and raise
it to the heavens for the duration of the show. How do these parents ever think that they are not blocking/ruining the experience
for others is beyond me.
So true, love the term "Rafiki" Dad
THIS!!!!
Cander5142 EXACTLY
These are my favourite shows.
Would love a "Best & Worst to go to the parks with" out of The Dis team.
Thatd be a awfully short video. Ryno, end of story...
TRACEE MILLARD Pete would be my second choice
OH MY GOODNESS the strollers! Some of those kids definitely should NOT be in strollers! If they can walk, make them walk!
I'll remember that when we take our 2 year-old
The Mushman if they can walk they need to walk! If to young to walk to young to be at WDW
Line cutters are the worst, I wish they would crack down on it at WDW since it's worse there than any other park I have been too besides Cedar Point
I agree with the stroller people I got knocked down by one once and the lady just kept walking
