I have been obsessed with watching all of the Best & Worst episodes! Here I am in February 2020 watching episodes from 2017. They’re so good I can’t help myself😂 Love this series!!!!

No spoiler here... I just knew the #1 worst, I was laughing so hard when Pete said
"sewage on your plate" . I agree with the whole list. Thank you for a great show.

Tony's should be replaced by a Princess Tiana Cajun restaurant. I'd love that. I know they have one kind of at Port Oreans, but it isn't "Tiana's Place".

    • @LauraGlorybelle
      @LauraGlorybelle 7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

I was thinking just today that there needs to be a Tiana's Place at Disney! Although, Tony's is a reference to Lady and the Tramp, so perhaps it should stay as is (with improved food). But I would absolutely eat at Tiana's Place!

Tink D I definitely agree with you! They need a Tianas place and I would be fine with them getting rid of tonys, it's disgusting

Dinner at O'hana is a no question must eat every single time I come home to WDW! The food, service, atmoshere, and the view overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon and fireworks are amazing.

Totally agree about Boatwright's. I absolutely love POR Riverside and it's so disappointing that the home restaurant is so bad. I would love to go help them turn that around! New menu, real Cajun food, correct execution of food, and a little bit of a better atmosphere. The resort deserves a better restaurant! Love you guys!

I'm glad I found this video when I did. I have not been to disney for 10 years and I never ate at Tony's. I decided to make a reservation for my family there this time because we were already going to be in Magic Kingdom that day so why not? I was surprised to see it on this list because the reviews are around average three ish stars. No-one really trashed it online. I would have felt awful if I booked a terrible dinner for my parents. I was able to switch it to one of the Epcot Italian places so thank you :) .

The EPCOT Italian places are absolutely amazing. I remember I got the cheese ravioli at the restaurant we went to last time and I literally would have licked my plate clean if I hadn't been in public 😂 you will enjoy it!

I called to make an ADR at Tony's Town Square for July and they were completely booked, but the lovely cast member suggested that Be Our Guest had an opening for our party size! After seeing this I am super glad we will not be at Tony's. My husband is Italian and we are kind of used to amazing sauce ( mine is ok, but I am referring to his mother's and Nani's sauce). Thanks for the reviews!!

The problem with videos like this is 4 months later at WDW the restaurants quality can go up or, most often, drop down very quickly. So whats good 6 months ago could be garbage today.

Have loved your site for years and years and your TH-cam page is awesome. We are going in June. I was late to the party for planning at `180 days. Really wanted Ohana but was having no luck. Four days ago I got a 4:00 time for Ohana....doing such a happy dance.

  • @TheStarryNightRhone

I completely agree with you that 'Ohana is incredible. This past April, I took my very first trip to Disney World, and even though my friend and I were both 21, I had to book the Lilo and Stitch breakfast. Not only was the food delicious, but the character interactions were so memorable that I will treasure my time there always. They made my entire trip. Everything was amazing, but it was the first thing I did while in Disney, and it completely set the tone for a wonderful trip.

I agree with Tony's Town Tavern! Here in the Pittsburgh area, we have a jar sauce from a restaurant in Greensburg, called Rizzo's!! I would like to highly recommend it to them if they insist on jar or canned sauce!!! It was okay, but I agree, it tasted like frozen thawed food to me. I never ate at Ohana, but we ate at the luau and I did NOT like the food. Someone told me they served the same, not sure. I don't like sweet stuff on my meats.

Agreed about Boma being the best restaurant on Disney property. I have made it a tradition that arrival night dinner is at Boma. It ensures that my vacation starts off on the right foot. Even when I make it a point to try new restaurants, I can't bring myself to skip it.

I make a point to eat at San Angel Inn for lunch every time I go to WDW. I will say that the appetizers and enchiladas are not spectacular (they're eh), but I go back there (only for lunch) for the Tortilla Soup. Every time it's spectacular. It's the, honest to goodness, surprisingly enough, best most authentic tortilla soup I've had since I lived in El Paso, TX. I do not use the TS credit, I choose to just pay cash because value-wise I'd like to use the TS for a more expensive TS restaurant.

Hey Pete, just wanted to let you know that the US flag in the shadow box is behind you is folded in correctly and considered a "bleeding flag" since the banner is showing and should only display the union (1 star in the top row, 3 stars in the second row and 5 in the final row) it's actually a pretty easy fix but understand if it is a bereavement flag.

I noticed the other day, while looking at restaurants on the official WDW site, that when you click on the Dining Plan pop-up info for Be Our Guest, it lists breakfast, lunch, and dinner options for 2017, but only breakfast for 2018. It appears that it's phasing out the dining plan for lunch and dinner in 2018, unless that was an error.

My family and I have eaten at every one of these restaurants. Most of them multiple, multiple times. Your review is 100% spot on. We've given Tony's way too many chances. It has been better in the past but the last few years...horrible. My understanding from staff is that management changes very regularly there and typically it gets worse each time. On the flip side...We could eat at Boma every freaking night. We've stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge just to be close to Jenko and Boma...The best.

I remember years ago- we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. We went to Boatrights on our first night & it was spectacular. My father loved it just from the one meal... so he wanted to keep going back when we got in late for dinner, etc... it was a fluke. They brought us the wrong meals, we were there forever... we thought the wait staff got lost the one time, or the closed & left us there! Horrible.

It has been a while since I used the plan and I have a procedural question: Since you are paying with a "credit"--do you still see the retail value of the meal so you can calculate the appropriate tip? ALSO, if you order the Ohana feast via room service, do they add a room service charge to the bill in addition to the "credit" that pays for it?

    • @JohnRiches

They have a discussion about that in one of their podcasts, can’t remember which one exactly but I’m sure you could find it.

Sorry for the late comment, but I have a question about your list. Is there a relation at all between these locations and where new and seasoned cast members end up working?

lol that awkward moment when you last minute, last evening, eat at Tony's and loved it.... haha... their salad was amazing and the parm chicken was so good... and I have eaten at Epcot's amazing Italian restaurant at a previous trip... aw well, I must have been lucky :P

On my trip last September I ate at 3 of the 5 best! They were all amazing. First time I've ever had lamb and duck. I'll definitely be going back on my next trip, if I can score reservations. . . 😉

Maybe Kitchen Nightmares or Restaurant Impossible could go into a few and make some improvements. :/

You are so dead on for the restaurants I have visited. I have always wanted to try Bouma but the timing never worked. I have recently heard a lot about Kona. Based on the fact that I agreed with everything you said, I will try both in a few weeks. I have also previously felt badly about paying for bread. Thanks for making me feel better about that.

We did the Festival of Fantasy Package at Tony's Town Square and we enjoyed it! My husband and I thought it was worth the one meal credit to have reserved parade seats. We liked the food (not the best, but it was fine!!).

Great show! Tusker house is so good, tried it for the first time on our trip last summer. Wish we tried krona since we were staying at the Polynesian. Next time! We actually had a good meal at Hollywood & vine a couple of years ago, no characters though

I am moving to central Florida in May. What suggestions do you have for Florida residents including which annual pass to buy and other Florida resident perks. I lived in Tampa ten years ago but moved to California. So, I am familiar with the parks but not what currently is being promoted. Thank you.

Totally agree... Tony's is the worst... can't believe we wasted a reservation on this restaurant.

Never been to Captain's Grill but Rainforest, San Angel Inn, Boatwrights and Tony's were all terrible last time I visited them. Hollywood & Vine was awful as well, bad food and tables were full of dirty plates that weren't cleared away for the whole time I was there.
