Oh my, I have one exactly the same. As a child would push it around and sit on it. When my son was born early 80s my father brought it to my house. It was just like this one, fraying at the edges, but the basic shape still sound. This was the day that not only myself, but my father, found something out about it we never knew. If you unscrewed the handle, pulled it backwards, and then underneath the horse, it became a rocking horse as well. We cut out a large piece of furred material and stitched it over the horse. The memory of that day will always stay with me. I always wanted a rocking horse as a child, and we never knew that we had one, but my son showed me what I had missed, and loved it. Thank you for showing this as I lost my father to Prostate Cancer and your show is just filled with so much 💖

Sadly, I'm in the USA and must watch on Netflix. I must get Acorn or a station that allows me to watch British programs!

@@TheRepairShop I recently discovered your program on Netflix and I LOVE every second of it so far! I've watched every episode for seasons one and two and that is all Netflix has available so far. I'm hoping they will have newer seasons available soon. I live in the state of Texas, USA. (I think you have some Irish folks on your show from time to time. My great-grandfather was John Wesley O'Riley and he came to the USA from Ireland during the "potato famine", or so I'm told. I hear the word "innit" on your show from time to time and I grew up saying that word, so I guess my father picked it up from his grandfather. Cheers!

This is a lovely story, but I cannot help but feel really upset that there is never any acknowledgement for the original person/people who have died, whose heart and lungs were donated in an attempt to save another life. The original family will probably have come under pressure at a time of grief to consent to have their loved one chopped up and dispatched for spare body parts. I just wish their would be some acknowledgement to the human being and family who lost their loved one too. That lady losing her brother is terribly sad, but what a double upset and tragedy for the donors family. I wish people would think of the other soul that was lost too. God Bless both lives and families. xx
