Read about the Arbitration commission on Yugoslavia, Resolution 1244 (1999), and Charter of the United Nations which has been ignored by the west, and no one was punished for that. Well, it's funny for all us Albanians and Serbians I guess how stupid we find comments about the Kosovo war from other people who don't know anything about the Balkans! This being said, I am going to put a simple question here which I always enjoy discussing with my Serbian friends: Why would decent people in Serbia think and say the same kind of stuff Miloševic himself would have said about the Kosovo war DESTPITE the fact that all the serbian massacres, rapes and ethnic cleansing agendas are proved, with the agressors alive and well in Serbia, and the victims and witnesses still suffering in Kosovo! If it's to hard to understand the question let me put it like this: whatever serbs suffered during the Kosovo war, Albanians suffered it 10 times more!
And the mastermins behind the massacres are still alive.
Everyone knows that it was Stanišić who created 3 paramillitary groups and promoted Šešelj, so that Milošević would look a more moderated solution in the eyes of the international community. And this worked in Bosnia, when they created a cancer-state within the country. The international community couldn't allow another such tragedy to happen again in a short period of time.
I think that Serbia should stop its politicial cast follow an old fashioned imperialist dogma, like chihuahuas in the greater geopolitical stage, ready to bark and bite everytime big changes in geopolitics are happening in the globe. This being said, I hope Serbia confronts its fascist past and gets rid of Vučić once and for all

The vast majority of countries that recognize Kosovo were not involved in Yugoslavia, to say otherwise is a blatant lie. 115 countries recognize Kosovo, and only 15 countries participated in the 1999 Nato bombing against Serbia. also Spain, who participated in the 1999 Nato bombing of Yugoslavia still does not recognise Kosovo.
I dont like the USA either, but the Americans aren't the ones who tried to forcefully occupy Kosovo against the wishes of the people by commiting atrocities. And im not just blaming Serbia, each side of the Yugoslavian conflicts did horrific shit including the Kosovo Liberation Army.

I dont want to get into a religious debate, but in my opinion it all comes down to the different Islamic doctrines.
When you were giving examples of countries who's official language comes from some other country, I think you should have included Switzerland, instead of just countries who got their official language (or main language in the case of the US) through colonization. Switzerland has 4 official languages, German, French, Italian, and Romansh.
Also, if I'm understanding things correctly, the border between Belgium and the Netherlands is less then 100% clear, but that one may be a misunderstanding on my part.
You can say that the borders don't really exist anymore, since cities developed past the borders there.

Explanation on Kosovo name.
There’s a beleif that sometimes in the past there was a black eagle flying in the valey that slavs called KOS. Suffix OVO presents someones dominance or ownership of something. Example “Kosovo polje” which means “field of Kos” another example would be “John(ovo) biciklo” or Johns bycicle. Kosovo region was traditionally called Kosovo i Metohija and it was split between east and west part where east was called Kosovo and west Metohija. Metohija is an old slavic word that derives from Greek word μετόχια which means land of monasteries. So the right name for the region is KOSOVO I METOHIJA - Land of eagle and monasteries not KOSOVE or KOSOVA ! It’s an albanized slavic word that means nothing and Albanians have no right word for Kos in their language.

Kosovo by all means is a country. I am from Macedonia and Kosovo is mainly self governing but Kosovo is a historical Serbian land. Kosovo comes from the Serbian word which means "the field of the black birds". There is no nationality as Kosovar those people which live there now are Albanians, but northern Kosovo is mainly Serbian.
As an old Serbian song said:
"Сини јарко сунце са Косова не дамоте земјо Душанова..."

And the hero's welcome is also stated in EU reports, i dont really follow serbian politics obviously, but i did hear that a few accused war criminals were treated as heroes on a recent military parade that was held in serbia. Look, I'm Serbian and for us, Kosovo will always remain Serbian property and we will never admit that it's country now. For Albanians Kosovo will always be Albanian property. This is just reality, Kosovo is now a country, and nobody can change that. And there is always gonna be at least a bit hate between Serbians and Albanians (even tho I genuinely don't hate Albanians). Kosovo had always a mixed population with Albanians being there since 2.000 BC and Serbs later since 12th century AD. Since at least the 17th century the majority of the population is Albanian. Read about Dukagjini principality, Pjeter Bogdani, Shtjefen Gjecovi, League of Prizren, Isa Boletini and Azem Galica. These are some of the most important Albanian national movements and heroes. All of them originated in Kosovo.
