Hello hello, I hope you enjoyed this casual chat to take a look at some photos from back in March. I‘ve been aching to show you these :,D Also much love to Wondershare Recoverit for sponsoring another video, check them out if you ever need to recover some lost data: bit.ly/47fzsSl Have a lovely week!
that first shot is absolutely stunning Teo ... from the lighting , to the textures (which literally entrap your subject) , the leading lines on the left which are slightly out of focus which outline your subject again , and then the stacking of the lanterns in the top right also create leading lines towards your subject from the right side of the photograph. my gosh i've never been this giddy over Tokyo shot in a really really long time. please dont stop creating ~
Leaving the photos aside (which are absolutely great, btw), the video is really really creative... and the way you included the sponsor part was so smooth and original. I noticed it is not the first time you did this in your videos. I admire your creativity and dedication.
Aww thank you so much for pointing this out! This makes me feel more accomplished in putting in this effort, it's so great to know you appreciate it! :))
Nicely wrapped up, and the photos themselves truly gave me a tangible Japan/Tokyo-atmosphere, supported by the limited B-roll. It would be great to see a Japan-playlist on the channel, to re-watch and binge all the previous videos.
watching this whole japan street photography series has really inspired me to make a photography video chatting about my film photos I've taken this summer hehehehe
Superb! I am a sucker for panning shots, really makes me want to scratch that itch soon, great wholesome work. Your videos are very poetic and smooth, love em ❤
This is really inspiring, Teo! Can't wait to go back to Japan in November! I'm gonna be shooting a lot with my GX80. Keep hyping this little camera. Haha
Hello mate, i love your photos! i have a Sony Alpha 6000 and i want to take similiar photos as you with your lumix gx80. You street photos with this camera are amazing. Can you give me some tipps to take similiar pictures, do you use filters or something or how you edit your pictures. My pictures haven´t a character. I really love the character of youre Street photography images. I want these film look.
Can you please make a tutorial on how you take such good photos at night? I bought the lumix gx80 because of you and I just can't take pictures at night, they always turn out awful xD. love your videos sm, thank you!!
Hmm I‘ll think about it, but honestly don’t quite know yet what to say🤔 Basically you can‘t just shoot in the dark😅 You always need a light source of some sort and Tokyo happens to be veeery bright in the night, so that made things easier. And then just check your settings. Don’t underexpose too much, but also don’t push your iso too high (personally I never push the GX80 above iso 400). Hence you‘ll be shooting with pretty low shutter speeds as you saw with all the panning shots in this video (e.g. 1/8 or 1/15) Maybe this can already help?☺️🙌🏼 Edit: ohh and don’t forget the editing - these shots are usually boosted by about one stop of light in post production👍🏼
Ich liebe deine Fotografien und freue mich jedes Mal über ein neues Straßenfotografie-Video :) Mit welchem Objektiv hast du die Bilder geschossen? LG Bella
hi i really love how soothing your content is, i was curios whether you could make a tutorial on how to print photos because i needed some help to ensure that my prints look accurate
I like picture #1 as well but I interpreted it differently. More of a story. The lady has a rather fearful expression. You then realise that she is holding the hand of the guy in front. The opposite hand you'd expect. Means that he is guiding her safely along through the crowd. A good husband I'd guess. Nice set of pictures. I get along well with a Lumix LX7.
How to turn off constant notifications from body Lumix GX80 about setting proper focal length (35mm - I use manual lens Arrisans 35mm 1.2 )? Always from sleep or turn on asking me. Thank you for help
8:05 I like that the person in the front adds a layering element to the pic which makes it interesting but, he is a bit too sharp so he kinda pops and stands out and I'd say he is a bit distracting.
Thanks for the video, I like the commentary. Beautiful images I was wondering where do you store or re-visit your work (photo/videos)? I use iPhoto, but I thought maybe there are other options, there is something about iPhoto on the computer that feels a bit off to me. Edit: If one shoots film at night, is a tripod necessary? How could I achieve sharp images? Sorry for the many questions. Channel has me inspired to take picutres
Ahh it depends. Kodak is pretty much the same, both expensive (Germany is a good bit cheaper than Austria), but Fuji is definitely cheaper in Japan. On the other hand CineStill is cheaper in Austria I think.
Having recently gotten into film photography and seen a number of your past videos, I was wondering given that you store your film in a folder full of plastic sleeves, do you then put that folder into a fridge or keep it out in the open? Love the video!
@@teocrawford Hm, interesting. I've seen a number of "intro to film photography" videos where that point is harped on; I'll look further into it, thanks for your perspective! Thanks again!
@@sneekibreekiruski Many people keep their un-shot film in the fridge, I personally don’t, don’t have the space😅 As long as your film is not subjected to strong shift in temperature and isn’t constantly sitting in hot and humid conditions you should be fine. But as said, never heard to keeping negatives in the fridge🤔
Thank you!🥹🫶🏼 Most of these photos are were shot on the Lumix GX80 so it‘s mostly digital hehe - the grain is added in Lightroom, so for sure possible to add it to your mobile photography too!🙌🏼 I usually set the intensity and size to 35 or 40 and roughness to around 60, but the outcome can vary strongly depending on your photo‘s resolution - I feel like the grain becomes too strong much faster on lower resolution photos.
i just bought myself one of these, and am wondering how you get this very “vintage” look from this camera? are you using “Retro” or do you have a preset in Lightroom? i really want to achieve a similar style to the photos included in this video
Ohh cool!✨ I usually edit my photos from scratch, so no presets in use here. However I often make a preset from my edits and share that on my Patreon, in case you’re interested☺️✨ Also I have a couple editing tutorials on there which could also help🙌🏼
I will FOR SURE be taking a look at your tutorials! I really am jumping into this whole photography, and your style has been a HUGE inspiration for starting my journey! I have played around with the "Retro" filter on the Lumix itself, but there is just something about your photos that I haven't quite grasped on how you get them the way they are. I have a long way to go, but I am excited!@@teocrawford
@@cameronanderson8031So cool to hear you're finding so much intrigue in the world of photography! :D I recommend not using any in-camera filters and just shoot RAW and then edit that file in some software (personally I love Adobe Lightroom). Warning, your RAW files will look horrible hahah, don't worry, RAW files always look terrible, but they contain the maximum amount of data so that you can really get the best out of them in the editing process :)
@@teocrawford hey! i recently purchased your Pateron, and was wondering if your Presets are able to be downloaded or are they intended to just be mimicked?

how you're liking it so far? I'm planning to buy one
Another banger of a video Teo! I love the shot at 8:47! So much happening with the different people. Some reacting and some not. Great shot.
Aww thank you!
I'm loving all this Japan content, please keep them coming our way.

May I know the mode that you mainly use on this camera and the settings please? I just got one because of your videos inspired me ❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻
I always just shoot in RAW so any other settings such as picture profiles don't really matter, seeing as in Lightroom they'll all be reset to RAW :)
Great work! Which settings do you use while doing this type of night photography? I really like the photos at 12:08 and 17:35!

Not for scanning, because I scanned all my film myself, but for dev I just went to Bic Camera and they did a fantastic job and they are so fast!
Hi teo crawford, can you sell your camera to me for cheap please?
panning shot...distracting to me. I think it would've been better without the person walking by.
ik what you mean, the photos I took during the six weeks I was in JP as a 16 year old are still some of my favorites I've ever taken 🫢
