I tried on a Grey Side of the Moon Metorite at the Omega store in Scottsdale, Arizona a few years ago. It was one of those classic "I will own one... one day" kind of experiences.
Hi Mike, yea I should wear that T shit more often. I went to see the shuttle in LA a few weeks ago. I put a bit of footage in my Boldr Review. Would have loved to take my speedy but its in for a service
Hey Sam, thanks for getting access to these two lovelies. You and I both have Speedmasters with the 1861 movement and I would like to have one with the coaxial at some point. But the price point on these is pretty tough!
Hi Tod, yes I think the list on them is 12k. That grey side of the moon is probably one of the best watches I have reviewed in the channel. I don’t feel like I fully did them justice here.
Its a warmer feel and lighter than steel but feels better than titanium in the hand. I think it may have some titanium in the ceramic here but I could be wrong!
I still think this is one of the best watches I have ever reviewed. We regularly talk about it on the livestream. If you watch the recent speedmaster livestream from a few weeks ago we discuss at length! Great pickup! Such a cool watch!
@@CasualWatchReviews Thanks! it is really a good pick and it's rare to find it available, I heard that it will stop production this year and I just got it immediately( had to purchase from dealers because of the shortage in Omega shop. I always want a meteorite dial watch and this one is really beautiful and with in my budget! Great video btw, I really like it. Keep up your work!
Hey Craig, yep that grey side of the moon was really amazing. It was one of the best watches I think I have ever reviewed. i couldn’t really do it justice here!
Somewhat misleading to keep referring to grey side of the moon when you're actually showing the meteorite , although it is indeed grey it is a different watch from the grey side of the moon ; still a beautiful watch.
Just to clear this up if anyone reads your comment. This is the grey side of the moon, the version with the Meteorite dial. There was more than one version, like a lot of Omega watches. This is not misleading if you know Omega watches even a little bit. Here is the omega reference… something easily googled if you need more information. www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-speedmaster-dark-side-of-the-moon-co-axial-chronometer-chronograph-44-25-mm-31163445199001
I have a timy wrist and just tryed it on Today after saying no 2times before getting it on, but fitted perfect,, way better than the older speed master
Well Sam I'd happily walk around with my dark side of my moon out to own either one. Awesome watches so what one are you going to send to your cornish friend lol
Hi, thanks for watching another one of my uploads. I cover one of my Grail watches. The James Bond Aqua terra a few weeks ago. Let me know what you think its in my feed.
@@CasualWatchReviews Meh, my opinion shouldn't matter as long as you like it, ppl don't understand why my modded Vostock 710059 is my most cherished watch and I don't care lol. I checked it out though and it's a really nice watch, understated elegance and I like the yellow on blue colors and the 007 touches are nice though I'd prefer the original second hand w/crest, I'm sure you'll have it sooner or later, run on sentence finished lol.
Hey Rob, have you seen this watch in person? Honestly its stunning, much better than the platinum dial. Its hard to capture the beauty of the meteorite on camera. I still this this is the best omega i have ever reviewed on the channel, I wish they were cheaper i would pick one up!
@@CasualWatchReviews I'm only going by photos. They're all stunning and meteorite face is a fantastic idea. However, I like a light face on a Speedmaster.
You can occasionally see one in an Omega store... When I think of the ultimate Omega, I go straight to this grey side with the meteorite dial. You have me searching on Chrono24 now... they are so expensive now!
You mean the Red on the second hand and the text? It doesn’t stand out that noticeable in person. That grey side of the noon was one of the best Omegas (if not Watches) I have ever seen in person. I couldn’t really do it justice here
It stands out like a sore thumb on camera and the size couldn't it be a 40mm? Great video by you as usual the watches we are critical about rather than the presenter! :-)
Anon Ymous I honestly think I could have done a better job of this review. I ended up messing up the lighting on a load of footage. I really liked the watch but I can totally see beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I always enjoy your comments so keep them coming!
Hi Eric, they wore quite well. They are much smaller than the planet ocean I reviewed a few weeks ago and that ceramic case design means they are very light weight. You would be surprised.
Hi Ryan, I probably didn’t do them justice here but the grey side of the moon is probably one of the best watches I have ever seen in person or reviewed on the channel.
Ryan Omega? I dont think my channel even factors in the grand scheme of things for them. As far as I know they don’t work with any youtubers not even the big ones. I am a big fan of the brand, this channel is a hobby for me its not a business. If it was I would have shut up shop a long time ago. If omega are watching and want to pay me or send a free watch then please do!!!
@@CasualWatchReviews I feel like you're too nice to people that leave snarky & edgy comments just for the hell of it. Your review was spot on - I've got 4 Rolexes and an AP and even I'm awestruck by this grey side of the moon meteorite Speedmaster. It might end up becoming my first Omega! Liked and subscribed - keep up the good work sir
scoobysaurus93 Hey, yep maybe. Sometimes i cant work out if people are annoyed the watch or me 😂. It was fully to think Omega may be paying me, if they were they have not watched the uploads where I have been critical of them! Welcome to the channel and thanks for subscribing!

Hey, I agree its a stunning watch! I would love to own one one day also.
Definitely prefer the dark side of the moon out of the two! Great video. Thanks
Yep it was nice, I was really taken by the grey one. I still think about that watch often.
Wearing a NASA shirt myself LOL
Personally I like Omega over Rolex.

Wow! That is one of the most beautiful meteorite dials I have ever seen! I wonder who the lucky SOB was to get this watch.
The grey is fantastic!🥰
It was hard to capture it in this upload but it was stunning. One of the best omegas I have seen!
THANK YOU. Great review.
i love Love LOVE the dark side.. i'm seriously thinking to get it very soon.
I would love to know if a dial swap was possible?
The Grey Side is amaze Balls!
Hey Heriberto I agree, my favorite by far!
Grey side of the Moon edition is ridiculous(ly good)!
Its probably one of the best omegas I have ever seen in person! i was lucky to see these two together.
Just picked up the Meteorite dial Version with Sedna gold - it’s spectacular!
That grey side is still one of the best watches I ever reviewed on the channel. I think about it all the time.
Very cool Sam! Both of these are beautiful. I wonder how the ceramic case felt against the skin and to touch? Thank you for another excellent video :)
It was very lightweight I should have mentioned that in the review quite honestly. I thought the case was fantastic.
@@CasualWatchReviews does it feel like metal or plastic or something else? - I know titanium has a warmer feel than steel.

Just got the grey side of the moon over the weekend, so far it's my best watch experience!

Any direction on how to set the alternative time zone 3 o clock subdial ?
HeY Roman, sorry I only had access to the watch to make that upload.
The hour and minute subdial at 3 o’clock can be used as a second time zone.
Any idea how to set this? Appears in some videos as if it’s part of the chronometer. Is it a second time zone or chronometer counter?
The Apollo 8 DSOTM is my grail watch. One day!
love my grey one! agree best looking speedmaster
Yes it was so cool to see this one in person!
I waited 7 years to buy a dark side, it still doesn't feel real sometimes.
brill watches i love both of them... would be nice to own one of them.... cheers brill review

Dark side of the moon for me, very cool watch.
Normally I'm not a fan of Black cased watches because of the DLC but the ceramic here is black all the way through, gives it a great look.
What's the size of your wrist?
7.25 to 7.5 inch depending on the weather!
So mine under 7 should not even think about these two watches. The already look big on your wrist
I have a timy wrist and just tryed it on Today after saying no 2times before getting it on, but fitted perfect,, way better than the older speed master

I wish I had more time with them! Sad to have to give the, back and I think the grey side is sold now!
IMO the Omega Sea Master Aqua Terra GMT Chronograph : 231.10.44.52.04.001 is gorgeous

Both very nice looking. Just a bit too big for me
I think the fact they are lighter means they are more wearable than they may have looked in this review.
The Casual Watch Reviewer More a problem with my slim wrist than the larger watch. Nice vid
Lovely!
Agreed! Great watches!
Gray side definitely makes the black side look plain and kind of boring.
Hey Michael, that grey side of the moon was just awesome. One if the beat watches I have ever seen in person I think... so far!
Don't like the red accents.....

Wayyyyy too big for anyone's wrist
