I've valeted cars for over 10 years and there's nothing wrong with the way you clean you're seats.. All you need is a wet vac to suck the excess water out
Should 100% invest in an extractor for removing water from the seats, time saver for sure, couldn't imagine the amount of time you would need wait to get them dry, can imagine sitting on it and getting a wet arse haha! Each to their own though and I can appreciate that! Great video :)
One thing that impresses me is your meticulous attention to cleanliness. This video demonstrates how much difference the cosmetics make. I am sure this one will pay you handsomely. I am looking forward to the VW and the LSE being finished.
I love it when the TH-cam experts give Rob their advice. Dude’s been doing this gig for years, and (I’m sure) has tried every method of cleaning a car, but now - all of a sudden - he’s been doing it wrong all this time. 🙄 Great stuff Rob & Chris! Keep up the fantastic content
Great little cars! It’s never been written off! There’s a nice easy way to check by auto trader, if you go and try and sell it on there after you entered the registration number and mileage and continue with your advert it normally says the category if it’s been written off! Just a nice little free hpi check 👍 enjoy the vids rob and chris !
Hi Rob my mama be interested in that little fit what you're saying at the moment it looks very clean and my mum will be running trusted then that night
Heres something to file away in the knowledge bank, on FIAT 500 fabric seats the covers unzip at the back and a few hog rings underneath, easy peasy if you have the seats out already and can be put in the washing machines! They come out like brand new and no dampness on seat frame which can result in corrosion etc, my neighbour did it so I know it is true. I have been pleased with valeting machine wet vac results. I did jet wash a Triumph Acclaim used carpet before fitting and it came up like new
@@sruk There certainly are on at least the Fiat 500 Lounge 2016 model, as my neighbour easily unzipped the covers, easy job once you FIND the zips! Not the usual pain. He then threw them in the washing machine and then dried them on the washing line, they came up like brand new, more than I can say for his socks!
As a car salesman myself, I will back Rob 100% and say that using a pressure washer is the best way to clean ground in dirt on fabric seats. They will drip dry just fine but to speed it up, I personally wet vac and blow the water out with an air line the seats. 22 years so far and never had any issues on any cars worth a few hundred quid to many thousands of pounds using this method.
For those edge bits on carpet I always use a drill attachment brush that looks a little bit like a toilet cleaning brush. I drill brush it while dry first, Hoover it after. Then add a little spray of soapy water and then run over with the drill brush again and extract the water and it don't half make a difference for 5mins work. Nice result with the little 500. Cant wait till yeah get the tank for the old golf.
Very nice. If I was still driving I could cut my legs off at the knees and drive it 🤣🤣 Lovely job guys...as they say...A nice little earner. Cheers, Bob
That’s the best way to clean the seats mate. I was a car valeter 30 years ago and we used a Wap steam cleaner (not jet wash) on seats and carpets after taking them out first. They came up like new. Took a few days to dry but well worth it. The comment about pushing the dirt into the foam is nonsense 😂 even if it did, the dirt is better in the foam than on the seat material 👍🏻
Congratulations on getting to 171,000 subscribers and well done for all your hard work with all the cars and well done for all your hard work with the videos as well
Great feel good videos. Chris was right, good to see another 500. Going to get my niece round with my G101. That is the same as her steering wheel, but hers is cream not the black. Excellent and thanks
You can do free write off checks on the desktop version of autotrader. You just create an ad to sell the car and put the reg in and it'll show up if it's a write off or not. This car has never been written off.
A massive thank you Rob. We were pricing a complete set of carpets for our motorhome until I witnessed your methods. I removed all carpets and mats, gave them a good soak in shampoo and degreaser then got to work with the pressure washer. They are now like new. Saved us a lot of bother and a load of cash. Cheers 👍 Thanks you two, stay safe 🖖
Rob as a car Valeter by trade invest in a hot jet wash is so much easier and you don’t have to use lots of cleaning products i.e. TFR /g101 It’s like washing your hands with fairy liquid and cold water doesn’t work Seats come up like new they dry faster and oily engines come up like new with no effort.. Keep up the excellent content guys 🤘🏻
Morning Guys! Another one bites the dust ! (Quite apt for the amount of these you've done ! Queen ) The dirt on that steering wheel ! It makes you shudder when you may have actually had an encounter with the owner of those hands !!!😨😨😨 Great first car for someone . Thanks Rob. Say hi to Chris .
You forgot to add the monies for the ring on the gear stick gaiter & the hose ( pennies I know lol ). As for people moaning about how you wash the seats, nothing wrong with it & if they don't like it they can choose not to buy it 😆😆😆. Great tie up video & look forward to seeing the next one. Safe safe you two.
Great job Rob & Chris,i thought you had a brush attachment that you put on drill to work the G101 right in to seats, ive way they came out nice & the wheels looked perfect, someone will be very happy to get this car.
Rob, i have used Lepons for wheel repairing, and I was really surprised just what you can do, to repair really badly damaged wheels, including buckled and cracked wheels repairs. like the vids keep them coming.
Great little video. One "concern" about jet washing the seats would be knackering the airbag electrics/wiring connectors? (But i know you know better than i as you do this all the time). Amazing what a good valet does for a car and great wheel refurb. Interesting to watch how they straighten them in a future video.
I'm glad I haven't got instergram , I would of had that , but the good news is I've just jet washed the living room carpet and sofa its come up a treat
You should invest in a bissell spot clean to help extract the water and use a soap with fragrance to help freshen them up. Good for odd carpet stains. Good for quick turn arounds and will pay for its self very quickly!
That's enough waffle 😉 hi guys lovng the 500 they are great little cars and sell for good money and seeing little cars on the channel is brilliant well done guys love a good video on Monday afternoon 👍👌🔧
Great video as ever guys. My daughter has a Fiat 500 and her steering wheel is just like that one. I’m going to send her a link to this video to show her what her steering wheel should look like 😂
Nice little car Rob. I agree with you, the quickest and easiest way to clean seats is with a pressure washer. Leave them to dry overnight and refit next day.
You lads are the Fiat 500 Guru,s so nice little motor for someone, and hope that the next owner keeps it in better condition and gets some miles of pleasure from it. Well done once more Rob and Chris and on to the next one👍👍👍🚘🚘🚘
Very smart little car I know what the other people are thinking about the way you wash the seats but I think you have proved that your way is very effective and quick and a lot less effort than scrubbing away with a cloth for hours as long as they dry properly I don't see the issue cheers
Nice to see the 2nd video seeing the finishing touches thanks Chris for suggesting it. Wheels look so good, really set the car off. A nice profit for you both for your hard work, well done guys.
Wow, that came up beautifully and you're right - no way does it look as though its done 130k miles, it looks so good. The refurbished wheels really set it off. Terrific work as always!
Hi Rob, just to say thanks to both for the hard work you put in for your entertainun videos. In the late 70's I worked at a car sals garage we used your method of cleaning seats, but with one differance, after rinsing of we had a wet and dry vac it sucioned out most of the water to leave the seats almos dry. Just a tip from an old car nut.
Realise the wheels were at trade price, but that sounds like a good deal for 4 wheels with the process and finish you described. Sets the car off nice.
Said this before, but power washing seats buggers up the foam long term. Using Gofoam cleans the seats just as well. But no wet seats. Interiors come up fantastic. Don't knock it, try gofoam
Totally agree with your method Rob of cleaning the seats only I use a 'cyclone' attachment on the power washer which I find is quicker and more thorough.
Them wheels look so good I’ve never used the pressure washer on the seats but I always rip out the carpets and pressure wash that Nice little car for someone 👍👍
Thanks Rob & Chris another good video. I am going to get some of that 101 so when the wife cleans the interior of my old heap it might make her smile lol.
Another great video , nice work again guys but I must say I'm 4 months into the channel and nearly caught up with the videos but the 1st time I've seen rob in boots 🤣🤣🤣
Good little fiat 500 once you washed it that scratch was barely visible good little run about for someone who needs a second car or a first car. Another great result rob
ROB, I cannot fault you on your valeting methods, I am a valeter, and I did a 500 the same way, but sucked all the water out with my machine, and used fabric cleaner, on the doors to.

Great looking little car the seats interior all looked great after a good clean the wheels fantastic job on those even the scratch was looking better just go's to show a little bit of time spent & you can make any car look great again awesome work Rob & Chris 👏👏👏👏
Just brought the power washer into the lounge, Mrs said what are you doing? My reply, I’m just going to clean the sofa 😂
Lol
@@sruk I'd have brought the seat belt in too, and cleaned up the missus at the same time...
Are you my 🦜

Agreed, a shop wet/dry vac with a fabric head would speed up the drying time too, and you don't have to wait for the sun. 😄

Great stuff Rob & Chris! Keep up the fantastic content
But today car seats have a lot of electric stuff in them ?
@@dotlaj it will dry out ok
@@dotlaj I expect Rob probably knows that........?!!
Possibility of mould though if it doesn't dry fast enough. Needs a wet and dry vac. Also a lot more satisfying for vids
All the valet experts come out when he washes anything 😆 it’s a car show!!!!
It always looks brutal jet washing the seats, but you can’t argue with the results!
Great little cars! It’s never been written off! Iv done it before but to be honest because it was a cheapie I didn’t bother 👍
Good call not replacing the seats, no point whatsoever BUT.... should buy them for the next one 😁
Rob, for a change & of course, if one comes up, can you do an Abarth version? Great work as always lads, very enjoyable videos.
Truly how well the Refurbed wheels changed the car, Great car & Great video.....
Wheel straightening is a process I'd like to see
Rob did a walkaround video at Smarts if you go back through the videos
There’ll be a bit good content on the whole wheel straightening & what’s possible with examples if the wheel place are interested. 👍

Doesn't really matter how you clean the seats really. Just helps to have an extractor after to draw most of the water out.
Another thing guys. I think it's time you invested in GoPro type cameras.
Fitted around head, we can see what your doing close up.
What a turnaround! Brilliant video as always, still enjoy the Fiat 500s! Keep them coming 👍

Damn you! I was just thinking.... What's happening with the golf.... And you answered 😃😃😃😃😃

Rob and Chris you have done a good job on the 500. I really like it.
if it works for you thats fine i use tfr scrub it in and wet vacuum it off works really well and as your vacuuming it you can see the grime coming out

When it says non-runner you just have to assume the worst unfortunately
If it says non runner we would always expect the worst
I learn so much with your videos and your audience in the comments. Great job.
I could watch you do these cars all the time!... oh wait, I already do 😂 I also think you should get that leather interior for a rainy day.
