100% agree, it's a breath of fresh air them being so open and honest, their also not afraid to show the odd mistakes they make like so many are, although the mistakes are few and far between its just very open and honest, warts and all I suppose you could say.

Great little car for someone. By coincidence I cleaned one of these as a bit of fun for a neighbour's friend and found that those light cream steering wheels, trims, etc. come up nicely with a magic eraser. Thank you.
I'll say it lads , I wish there was a few more mechanics like you guys . Thanks for sharing how you resolve those electrical issues as these are the most common reason for cars being abandoned !
I still say this channel is miles above any of the ‘fix it flog it’ car shows on TV. Cabin filter is exactly the same on my Alfa. Same position and the cover doesn’t have any screws. It just slides on and locks in place. I find that if you squeeze it together like a Chinese fan, you can get it in easier and it just pops open when you release it

Hi Rob and Chris, great work done on this Fiat 500 C, electric boot and sunroof with Chris talking through the cars wires,with a clean it looks so much better.
The wiring loom on the 500c to the boot is different to the 500. 7 wires in the C, more in the 500.Same problems occur with those older models as the wiring is too short and inflexible through the gromits and usually stress and break causing issues. Nice little motor and a bargain price to buy for both your prospective purchaser and for you guys at the start, wish I’d managed to get one that price for the OH.

Another masterclass from Chris, how do you know all of that? very impressive! As for the price, very good, will make an idea first car for someone or a nice toy for the summer! Great to see Chris working out the problem. Also canin filters are and absolute nightmare. My sisters 500 doesnt have 1 as bought it for her in the service kit but luckily didn't go to waste as my other sister has mk2 Ka. Took my ages to get that filter out. Don't want to do it again on that car.
Love the fault finding sequence and logic, and what a lovely little car for someone. We have a soft top 108 and it is lovely to have the roof open in the spring and summer. Well done guys, excellent content again.

@@markbennett9043 you should try Volvo V50's. For best access, you have to take the CEM out and possibly the glovebox out for best access. Total pain in the arse although I'd rather that than a blower motor, which is a dashboard out job 😅
I'm lucky I have a North American Fiat! The pedals are on the other side so they're not in the way. But just reaching that cabin air filter cover is still a royal pain in the arse!
Great video as always Rob but please please please remind people that the first thing you do after fitting pads etc to pump the pedal hard again before driving ! See it so many times people forget and pedal goes to floor first time ! How many 500 fiats have you had now ??

I know changing brake discs is fairly easy but I blinked when you were doing it and there was the new one in place. 😂 I think someone will really enjoy that little car as you say probably a young lady. Alot of the time you can get squeaky brakes when you put new ones on a bit of copper grease always helps especially when they look like they have not been used for a while

Surely if you’re doing engine oil / filter, air filter, pollen filter you’d include spark plugs then it would be classed as a major service? Has the cambelt been done? Brake fluid change service that’s due every two years to take the moisture out the system that causes seized calipers?

Well done gents, another superb job. Quick question: do all new brake discs come completely covered in silver paint? I'm fairly certain they used to come 'bare' but coated in oil. This is new to me but then i haven't done this sort of work for many years.

It's normally a slack terminal on the female side every time, just need to make the gap a bit tighter with a pick, 98% of problems that came in were electrical when i worked at FIAT.

Thats another nice little car out the door thanks for sharing . To be honest I'm seeing electrical problems on farm equipment from 2000 onwards where the terminals are corroding in sealed multi plugs, I think the materials they make the terminals from now might be cheap junk, compared to older stuff that had less terminal problems. One brand of tractor I see a lot with this issue happens to be Italian made Landinis L.O.L Take care guys.
As someone that sells service kits , trying to get people to buy cabin filters !!! I'll leave it this time it wont need it is always the answer and you can't tell them . Yet I've just had to replace a friends blower on their Laguna where cabin filter completely blocked to the point it's burnt the blower out !! All for a few £ !!!
Other people who comment that you sell your cars too cheap even after you have made your profit probably should wonder why THEY dont get repeat customers. If all garages followed your integrity and honesty , the word cowboys would be non exisent.

Quickiest way to do them pollen filters Rob is just pop the steering knuckle off. Makes it so much easier to access

Early Mercedes vitos were a pain in the arse also. Remove pedal rod etc

The cabin filter is in the same place and same design in Renault Captur's. I. checked and cleaned the one in my lads last weekend.
