I actually appreciate that they didn't, the V8 makes it its own unique car and lets the LFA remain a more special thing because of it, plus the V8 doesn't sound bad at all
How can anyone watch this and press the dislike button!? The quality and the content doesn't get much better than this, Sam you're on top of your game!
Its not trying to be a baby LFA as its a classical GT cruiser. As such, it is massively accomplished, comfortable, well built and plenty fast enough. The paper figures don't really do it justice. In my testing, in-gear from 40/50mph, it actually pulls away from a B9 RS4. Noone would call that slow and I think Lexus have massively under-reported the power the 5L v8 makes in this. Also, the infotainment system is great and using the haptic feedback trackpad is something you quickly get used to. Its become a running joke for journalists to say the system is "bad" as they simply copy each other without having properly tried it. The LC-F is going to be epic
Honestly that Lexus looked better then most of those Aston martins. Nothing like it on the market. This is the best new car its Luxurious and beastly and looks exotic
Can you imagine Goodwood Revival in 100 years time. People rocking up in polos and Corsas on bags wearing super skinny jeans and vans while holding a vape
Actually, Lexus stands for "Luxury EXport for the US". Well ok, not officially, but you get the idea: these cars are mainly made for the US (and Europe) rather than for Japan. But in any case, I agree that this pad system is really dumb and dangerous... but english people too, for driving on the wrong side of the road, so meh... we'll call that natural selection!! XD
Only Lexus i actually like the design on. And it is so beautiful. This in that deep red metallic with tan interior would be perfect. Or in dark blue with the tan interior. Great video as usual. Keep up the good work.
Sam's channel is THE BEST car channel. You cannot fake passion and his got it in abundance and Hello one and all is such a bloody excellent branding trademark .
Hmmm... I wasn't shocked at the price. Sterling Silver? Nice. A classic Fuch wheel? Nice! So if you look at the wholesale cost being 1/2 the retail and it's Sterling Silver and limited to 911 pieces, I can see the price. Have I ordered? Not quite yet but it's on my list! I'll wait for the Google re-marketing ads to remind me...
There's something special about this model from Lexus. It's not even the fact that it was a concept car. The whole design, to its performance, all the way to its interior is just special. I can see this design aging very, very well.
awesome video! the 1st few shots made me a happy man! Love the LC500, Love your channel! I've been waiting for this video. I hope there is more on the LC500...
Nice to see something Lexus that isn't the LFA get some love, I drive a GSF, should defo check that out (come drive mine if you like), same engine from LC but in a saloon! Great video Sam!
If you liked this video I recommend watching savagegeese's review of this car as well. Since he's also very good with cameras and automotive critique, plus his LC500 video was quite exceptional.
I'm a fan of the LC 500. I test drove one earlier in the year and was surprised at how "muscle car" it actually was and also how much fun I had driving it. I would gladly own one.
The thing about those media controls, is that for European/USA in right driving countries, we can use our right hand instead of the left as you demonstrated in the video, so unless you're left handed, it should feel more comfortable, whilst in UK and left driving countries, this car is found more suitable for left-handed people.
Fantastic car and it was in the top choices for my wife’s next daily. But we ended up going with the TT RS instead. The Lexus has a gorgeous interior and sound but the transmission is a bit sluggish, you mostly see older men driving them here in LA, the brand still has a ways to go before being a real contender in this particular market segment, and the depreciation is brutal. Otherwise it was a very difficult decision to go for the TT RS instead but my wife is very happy that she did. Still an amazing car and highly recommended if you don’t share the same concerns we had.
The problem with the touchpad is because you drive on the wrong side of the car... :D Great video as usual, next year you need to try to come to Caramulo Motorfestival in Portugal, is the Portuguese version of the Goodwood... But with no fancy dresses ;)
I think the LC500 is a beautiful car and it really does share some similarities to the LFA! But being lucky enough experience the LFA, that car is in its own bracket! The workmanship, the feel and little details with the LFA is unreal! Plus that screaming V10 feels ferocious, like it can kill you yet feels so comfortable and safe when you are cruising 😊 the LFA is a one-off, a car that will never be replicated. But the LC500 is in another bracket itself, the sound is also so beautiful, like you said it's a muscle car! Awesome video as always Sam! Love the event! Plus Philip is always amazing 😊
Random Hero Spotting The LFA can be quirky getting the right shift points while driving actual roads. The sound engineers at Yamaha did their magic on both of these models. The snarly V8 announces its presence at start up and things just get better from there. The sight lines from the driver’s position are excellent so you never feel as if your guessing where the curb is. But the golden egg is really the suspension. The hip point is close to dead center so the chassis gives immediate reassurance when cornering at the limit. The LC500 just does what it is asked to do. The whole car is an infotainment system so they could remove the bloody radio and it wouldn’t wipe the grin off your face at about 135 MPH. To be fair the LFA costs about four times as much but as a daily driver it has enough Inherited DNA to get your heart rate into the aerobic zone. Glorious voice from heaven when you double downshift with the left titanium paddle.
Your programming is so superior to others' because your friends are engaging and enjoyable (even your nerdy dealer friend). Others have the dullest, most annoying dolts on Earth joining them on video. I attribute this to your charming personality.
I haven't driven the car so I don't know how fast it is personally. But I would think for the amount of money and how amazing the car looks, it would have more power. Maybe what it has is enough, but for the numbers I would think it'll have more especially for how expensive it is.
You do get used to it, dont the mercedes use a very similar system, i found it strange to use the left hand but i developed tennis elbow quite badly during final years of school so i use the mouse with left hand only otherwise develop a sore forearm quite quickly. I also broke my hand playing football so i have gotten very much used to have my phone in mycleft pocket
Great vid as usual .. Although i think id actually rather the lexus than the aston ... As the lexus will still work after 6 months and 5k miles on it ... Nasty but true !! Did you learn how to do burnouts in los Angeles ??
The lc500 is a fantastic offering from Lexus, glad to see them getting back in the game with something unique They’ve kind of lost me over the last few years.. very strange design choices Nothing like a v8 2 door coupe to get your brand back on the map
Even in the company of a car costing twice as much as it, the LC looks stunning. I can’t believe how great of a job Lexus did on this car.
LFA V10 sound is heaven. Wish lexus have put a loud screaming V10 in the lc500
I actually appreciate that they didn't, the V8 makes it its own unique car and lets the LFA remain a more special thing because of it, plus the V8 doesn't sound bad at all
M8 we should be bloody happy they didn't only sell it with the hybrid
the LC would cost $200K then
^
How can anyone watch this and press the dislike button!? The quality and the content doesn't get much better than this, Sam you're on top of your game!
Maybe because he didn't talked about the LC500 much? apart from "not a fan" sides of it.
Easy work. It's next to the like button bro
This car is way more reliable than it's European rivals. Do you want to buy an LC500 as your next car?
Great video, Sam!

One of the best and most interesting GTs out there. I reckon Lexus smashed it with this
Honestly that Lexus looked better then most of those Aston martins.

You should always dress like that. It suits you. I'm not even kidding.

No.... Lord no...
Hahaha so true
Not all cars have a naturally aspirated V8 nowadays. Lc500 sounds mega
OUTSTANDING Sam!
An absolutely smashing episode.
Nice threads by the by...
Thank you.
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful car, beautiful cinematics. 🤤🤤and to add a dashing outfit
Haha glad you approve of the outfit ;)
Controls with the left hand? Well thats what you get for driving on the wrong side of the road :'D
Haha I KNEW I was opening myself up for those comments. Damn it
Boros777 damn, he’s good
Owned!
You say this but Lexus is Japanese and they're right hand drive too, so it boggles the mind that they have confused their own user base!

You don't like the LFA
Zak R
No i actually don't.
I personally thinks it looks a bit weird.
I have a video on the LC500 with the tan interior if you want to check it out Denis ? :)
I agree it looks better in tan
Type in lc500 vorsteiner... black with beige interior and sick wheels!
Would be such a cool replacement for the Cayman, it's right up there with the F-type.
If you cycle through the dash menu’s...the dial in the middle actually moves over as a unit which was also introduced in the LFA
You even don't have to go through the menu. There's a button for it on the steering wheel.
YES!!!!! This has been my dream car since it came out, and I’ve been waiting for my favorite TH-camr to review it!!! Thank you!
I think these classic race cars with bumps and scratches adds a little bit of novelty to it and makes it seem a little more real
Love the V8 in this... oh wait ;)
V10 swap for the RCF Theo 😉
@@RandomHeroSpotting Absolutely not. 😂
Definitely better than any other automotive TH-camr on the presenting and cinematic front. You have a great presenting personality Sam
Sam's channel is THE BEST car channel. You cannot fake passion and his got it in abundance and Hello one and all is such a bloody excellent branding trademark .
For someone that doesn’t do “car reviews” you do them well. More honest then people wanting to cozy up to the car brands.
Am I the only one who was like; WOW! That sound!!
That film...Superfly...he runs this whip. Tidy uno and he's a bad man.
Another amazing video sam
great work Sam! There is no one who can cover events like you do. Congrats
It looks gorgeous and that sound is incredible, in an era of EV's and SUV's this is the sort of stuff we need

Nice to see something Lexus that isn't the LFA get some love, I drive a GSF, should defo check that out (come drive mine if you like), same engine from LC but in a saloon! Great video Sam!
Excellent choice. And the GSF has a better gearbox too.
The manual function can be a bit off with the rev matching on occasion, but I wouldn't change the car a single bit!
I did not expect that burnout and wtf are you wearing loool :D I was shocked for a second :D great video as always! The LC500 is amazing
Its not gonna be a classic car show without phillip. Thats damn right
Why
Philip brings another ray of sunshine to your videos.
If you liked this video I recommend watching savagegeese's review of this car as well. Since he's also very good with cameras and automotive critique, plus his LC500 video was quite exceptional.
That entrance by Phil follows by the signature laugh 😆😆 priceless. Need some more Phil appearances please!

Love your videos Sam keep up with your style of making your content it is absolutely brilliant mate
You and Phillip would make the BEST mini series! That would be incredible!
I'm usually not a fan of Lexus design language but that is a really pretty car. Lovely outfit by the way
This is my color combo too! Crisp white on red.. So sexy. LFA might be a bit out of my range, but this beauty will be mine one day!
Much love from the Philippines!
How did you put so much content in just one video?! This is hilarious!
I went on Friday! The Revival is the best classic car event in world!
Wasn't sure about the looks of this when it first came out, but the white colour makes it look rather good👍🏽👍🏽

See! The USA (and the vast majority of the world) are RIGHT!
Left hand drive is better because it allows you to use the mouse and touch screen!!!
