Dylan Harper is pro ready. You can tell Ron coached him up very well. That’s another thing he’s coachable. Harper’s ceiling is very high. But Flaggs is higher. It’s going to come down to team need on who goes #1 in the draft that’s assuming both Harper and Flagg keep this up. Now if there’s a fall off or Ace Bailey gets it together because he’s been underwhelming. Ace is still very raw and a lot of his game is just talent. Nothing is nuanced or intelligent.
Saying flaggs ceiling is higher is only true if you believe his shot creation will come around. That’s a very difficult aspect of basketball to just grow into
Only? 45 percent from the field is very solid for a wing player. I hate when people throw out stats without knowing how to interpret them. Analytics and stats are killing basketball. The number that is concerning for Flagg is 26 percent from 3...
@@Twodadterry that makes no sense. He's a wing right now. The further away you play from the basket the lower your shooting percentage. Bigs who are usually getting dunks and layups should be around 55-60 percent from the field. For his game and position 45 percent is good efficiency. If he shot the 3 better than 26 percent he's at least 50 percent from the field. Like I said, analytics is ruining basketball, people just throwing stats out without a fundamental understanding of the game or even how to interpret the numbers. I wish they would just go back to playing video games and leave basketball alone...
@@shawna7813 I’m not sure where we disagree. If he’s shooting 26% from three on decent volume, it seems unlikely he’ll even reach slightly below average. It would make more sense for him to take fewer threes and focus more on scoring inside.
If Cooper Can learn to take on the best offensive player defensively and get his passing vision up scouts won’t hesitate to get him in the door. KD size KD skills great help side defender can make some questionable decisions on defense sometime but very coachable
And the Ace Bailey take makes no sense. Harper is the PG, the primary ball handler, he has the ball in his hands initiating offense, Bailey is simply playing off Harper as a shooter/ finisher. I dont get the criticism regarding his lack of assists..
The answer to your question is YES, at this point Dylan Harper is better than Cooper Flagg. But obviously it is very long season. One gets the feeling Flagg will be there come March. Will Harper?
I do think skill wise, like handling the ball, shots, passing, Dylan Harper is probably the most ready of the three guys at the top of the board. But Cooper is definitely the better long-term prospect, if you have a superstar that does all the little things and it’s just tapping the surface of his offensive potential, but is still dropping 17 points a game?
I don’t agree, Harper actually got a higher ceiling. He’s a 6’6 pg who can play make, handles, shoot and defend. I think that cooper Flagg ceiling is like Pascal Siakam or sum, we literally never saw someone like Harper, closest to thing would be Cade, and Harper is better in college than Cade was (Cade was a volume scorer in college but wasn’t efficient).
Like the kid & he's got the pedigree obviously but pump the breaks! Didn't Cooper embarrass NBA pros (real pros best of the best right) at Olympics? People love changing opinions after 3-5 games it's a long season all I'm saying.
Christian Laetner played with, and against pros, and was on US Olympic team, and that doesn't mean anything. Auburn Forward Johni Broome is playing better than Cooper Flag. He's a better 3point shooter, better rebounder, and a better back to basket player. He's also a good shot blocker and passer. He's a junior and will be picked in the teens.
yeah, Broome is a good player, but a guy like Cooper Flagg is supposed to be a senior in high school right now, what do you think Broome looked like at that age? Cooper is having some freshman moments at the end of games but he has been one of the most impactful players in the nation, and certainly the most impactful freshman.
@@StarTraffic-z1o also, you’re gonna try to diminish Christian Laettner’s abilities to be on that dream team? He was the best player in college basketball for like three years bro.

45% is only solid if you don’t care about his shooting ability, he’s most likely an average finisher and a terrible midrange shooter.
And also, he shoot too many 3s for a bad shooter. If he cut it down to half he’ll probably be 50% from the field.

Get a life you loser. You have none, that's why you 'interpret' useless stats, about an irrelevant game.

Tre Johnson is pretty sick too
Yup his auto cards under 100 on ebay bought 2

A lot of basketball nerds don’t watch hoops they just read box scores
Yeah I don't get the Ace take. I see MPJ as a poor man's version of what I expect Ace to be
He looks like the most traditional 6’6 point guard out of him lamelo Cade and castle
Dylan Harper does not have that dog in him. What he has in him is a hybrid 💪🏿

I don't get the Siakam comparison for Flagg. He's more of a Ben Simmons with better jump shot and less ball handling...
He's definitely going off. Dont know is his NBA ceiling is higher than Ace and Cooper. Time will tell...
Yea he number 1 and I would even argue that his ceiling is higher than Flagg’s.
hes like a harden donovan mitchell hybrid . hes gonna be crazy
His game is identical to Cade
